Well done on the spinning LOTI, i am always impressed by evening exercise Grin

Went to the pub last night and drove so not too bad.

2.25k run, 1hr circuits, 5 mins powerplate, 'swimming' with DD2 . I need to try and do something to get my 4th exersazz in tomorrow. I may have to cheat and say running round the shops in a mad panic trying on ball dresses is an aerobic workout Grin

Hi all,
you sound like a very active and fit bunch of people. Can I jump in to motivate myself a bit more?
I only do my exercise bike and a bit of walking but have had a bit of a tummy bug which had made pedalling a bit nauseating. Has anyone else been hit by the tummy thing which seems to closing hospitals across the nation?
I am rubbish at actually eating less so attempting to pedal my way to slimness, whilst knowing secretly that I will have to stop having seconds of breakfast cereal.
Will be hopping onto the bike later.
Christmas is a nightmare of over-eating, how are you all coping?

Hi everyone,
what is on the agenda for today?

I'm off out for a bit of walking with DS, meeting a friend at a softplay then into town to get some more presents and then walking home. I hope to do two or three miles and walk off some of the chocolate from yesterday!
Planning to avoid cakes today, to get tummy back to normal. I was thinking bananas are good and somebody told me plain rice, but that sounds very boring. Do you think I could have something with the rice?

Hi rowboat Smile. We are not the most disciplined bunch it does have to be said Blush. However we shall do what we can to help motivate you!

We aim for 4 lots of 30+ mins of exercise per week which raises the heart rate. Some of us have used food focus quite successfully in tandem to log food/drink/exercise.

I imagine it will be pretty quiet here over the holidays as we tend to hide when we don't have good reports to make

On that note I was +3 this morning. Oops.

Hi all, hope you have all had good Crimby's!

Crisp that sounds like a good plan. My regular exercise is 20 mins on my exercise bike about 5 nights a week, plus any walking I have time to fit in.
I started the couch to 5K running plan about 4 weeks ago then had a tummy bug and exercising made me feel nauseous for ages so had to stop.
I plan to get back on my bike this evening as it has been around 4 nights with no pedalling with all the travelling around for Christmas.
Have eaten my bodyweight in Christmas cake so really have to get back to a healthier eating plan before I develop scurvy. Shock
How have you all faired over Christmas?

Oh god I have been shoving food and drink in like there is no tomorrow Xmas BlushXmas BlushXmas Blush I will be lucky to limit my weight gain to half a stone ??????????

On the plus side, following a tip-off re the bizarre white stuff dress sizes I ordered that dress in a size 12 and despite the 14 being miles too small, it fits!!!!!!!! Well it's too tight round my tummy and looks vile when I sit down but fits under the bust and tummy fat is easy enough to shift when you're in your 40s, right...

Hi all,

Fjor tummy fat! So easy to lose, as you say and it only gets easier as you get older. Grin However, the main thing is getting the bust and shoulders and it is almost the middle of Winter, so it will be fine as soon as we get all this chocolate and pudding behind us. You will look fabulous and in the meantime high waist pants.

Crisp no point mentioning the rest of this year really is there!

I had been so bad recently, but today is my best so far. I don't think I have had any Christmas cake or chocolate, although there are another 45 minutes to go until midnight.... Grin Did manage to walk 2 or 3 miles today, but I still have a dodgy tummy so not going to risk my exercise bike, makes it worse!

lol Crisp!

Welcome rowingboat, you sound like you've done better than the rest of us over Christmas Blush I won't lie, despite fairly moderate scoffing and very little booze (due to ebf baby DD) I have put on a few pounds over the festive season. Already knew I had though as I can really feel the difference around my waist and on my thighs. This in itself is quite encouraging as I never used to be aware of body changes at all, which is the sort of thing that leads to 'accidentally' putting on a stone.

So what are everyone's goals for next year then? My main one is to maintain my weight at under 9.5st - really do not want the weight back that I lost during pregnancy. I think initially I will aim for 2x Exersazz a week, increasing over the year as DD gets less dependent on me. Also watching what I eat, now that I've finally learned to do it! Hopefully later in the year I can take up a sport or dance class, but will have to see how DH's new job pans out re. getting home in time.

Morning Ladies :)

One last weigh in before holiday informs me I put on 1 whole lb over Christmas, which is most impressive considering I normally average about half a stone most years.

I need to lose another 2 stone next year (3 would be nicer!)- I would like it gone by Easter so have that to work on. When we get back I am going to attempt to shred 3 times a week and try for a couch to 5k once it gets lighter and warmer as once DH gets home it is too dark to run anywhere.
