Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Watching because I’m thinking about it. I know I can’t inject myself so a pill may be an option. Three stone to lose.

Frannieisnthappy · 05/07/2026 23:48

If I can stretch my budget then yes! But I dont get how the price fluctuates, the golden dose etc etc.

If anyone can explain I would be very grateful!

I have about 3.5-4st to lose.

rivalsbinge · 05/07/2026 23:54

I ordered mine via VOY and think they should be arriving this month, so happy to chat on here, I’m 72kg and should be around 62-65kg so only a small drop but I’m 5’2 and it all shows and I’m high BMI due to my height.

i have PCOS, endo and in perimenopause so also hoping the lowering of inflammation will help and the pill makes me feel way safer than jabs as I have some control. ( she says!)

SilenceInside · 05/07/2026 23:55

@Frannieisnthappy the prices depend on each individual pharmacy and how they choose to price the medication. They are all fairly similar, but some pharmacies do a large new customer discount to make the first order a lot cheaper. But after that, if you stay with the same company, you are then charged the full price. Also, the price increases if you need a higher dose, which a lot of people will do. People tend to change pharmacies regularly to take advantage of big new customer discounts.

The “golden dose” is twee name that just refers to the leftover medication left in a Mounjaro injection pen after you’ve used it for the four doses that you’re meant to use it for. People realised that the leftover medication was actually enough for another full dose, and because it’s expensive, people found ways to access the medication and use it.

Wegovy pills wouldn’t have a “golden dose” like that.

lcraw · 06/07/2026 02:18

Just go to ogovy.co.uk, its a site with them from £49 from Bolt if you want the cheapest of the cheap

I dont like bolts ads so I used medexpress which was £62 xx

Frannieisnthappy · 06/07/2026 03:17

Thank you @SilenceInside - will look around.

So if I change dose and supplier then I could get for a discount.

I do have another question... should I be eating any specific food or taking supplements?

SilenceInside · 06/07/2026 03:23

@Frannieisnthappy if you change supplier you can get their new customer discount, and you can change dose at that point if you need to or stay on the same dose if that’s working for you.

No need for any specific supplements although there’s a lot that people like and choose to take. I just take a multivitamin like I always have.

In terms of food, just a normal healthy diet plan, probably prioritise protein and fibre if you can.

I’ve been on it for 5 months. I’m still on the second lowest dose (out of 4) because it is so effective at suppresssing my appetite. My weightloss has been slow and steady but that’s the way I like it. Really, really enjoying the life-changing quietening of food noise after many decades of food being the centre of my life. My bloodwork is the best it’s been in years, I am far less inflamed and the psoriasis I have had for years upon years has completely disappeared. I’ve had a pretty rough time with perimenopause but since starting the GLP-1, things have been much better.

I’ve suffered from constipation and sulphur burps on it but both are manageable. Make sure you have some OTC remedies on hand in case.

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 06/07/2026 18:34

Just ordered mine! I’d love to chat to others on same journey. I didn’t want to inject so haven’t taken anything before.

I am 5ft 1, need to lose 3 stone.

Are you outside the UK? Great to hear from someone who has been on it longer as it’s only just available here. I’ll pop to the chemist to get some OTC remedies before I start! Thanks

HurrahforHollywood · 06/07/2026 18:40

What does it cost?

poolcrew · 06/07/2026 18:56

I bit the bullet and ordered this morning. I have 3 stone to lose.

SilenceInside · 06/07/2026 19:14

@HurrahforHollywood here’s a price comparison site for the tablets

I’m in the US and they’ve been available since January. You’ll get used to taking the tablet and the half an hour gap between that and eating anything pretty quickly but it is off at first. The pill tastes awful but I’m convinced this is so you don’t leave it stuck in your mouth as it’s so tiny that could easily happen. Good luck!

StonwEd · 07/07/2026 06:52

I've never been on this board before but I've ordered the tablets. I have about 3 stone to lose- I've kidded myself for the last few years I can do it on my own but i need help. I know wine is partly to blame so I'm going to have to knock that on the head.
I'm very excited!!

mne13 · 07/07/2026 06:58

I have 2 stone to lose, mine are being delivered today by Royal Mail!
I couldn’t inject myself either so these are a good solution for me

Choux · 07/07/2026 08:25

For those who now have tablets in their hands can you tell me the expiry date on the tablets please?

I'm very similar: 70kg at 5 foot 2. Ive been steady at this weight for a few years so I know how to stay the same weight but never manage to lose any. My aim is to get down to a healthy BMI (60kg) , then stop and maintain if I can.
I also ordered from Voy and the tablets arrived this morning. Eek!

Exp date on mine is 12/2028

G1nF1zz · 07/07/2026 13:13

I'm waiting on mine to arrive. 1st time on weight loss meds so here to hear people's experiences. Hoping for a 2-3st loss.

2.5 years? That’s really good.

i used Mounjaro for my weight loss which has a shelf life of about 9 months when you receive it but am checking out other options for maintenance. Please keep posting how you get on with it once you start taking it. Good luck!

24HoursFromTulseHill · 07/07/2026 16:25

My order arrived today from Bolt, so I'll be starting the morning.
Only 2 stone to loose but it's not shifted in years so I need something to reset my attitude to food & fitness. At 5"1' a 2 stone loss will get me from borderline obese back to the upper end of healthy BMI.

Hoping to be on it for 6 - 9 months and then ease off by going back to the lowest dose and dropping down to alternate days to see if I can keep my new found good habits in place.

Ohhh fab 60kg is a tiny bit low for me but only as I weight train, so I tend to be a bit heavy on the scales I think at 60kg I’d be a 8-10 maybe! Fingers crossed 🤞

Jess2002 · 07/07/2026 20:58

mine are arriving on Thursday, can’t wait to get started. Have around 2.5-3 stone to lose.

Who are you using. I would prefer no subscription as I am wary of those.
