You have had a tough time @Dontlletmedownbruce! Well done on maintaining through all of that
@ETPhoneHome19 how amazing to be at target!

@Junmaro you are doing so well on such a low dose and totally agree, the benefits feel fab. My loss is slow but steady, so I'm happy with that
@rockstarshoes I am on 5 and planning to stick there for now as side effects are still an issue for me for 2 days post-jab. I agree about the providers' assessments, feels like they just want us to spend more
Have a good day everyone, and stay cool if you're in the heatwave zone like me

Beehivebabe · 07/07/2026 07:54

Morning everyone, sorry I’ve been MIA the past week as life has got a whole lot busier. 12 viewings since last weds. One silly offer. Fingers crossed a better one comes along! Also viewing ourselves.
Anyway this morning weighed 16st 5lb so I’ve hit the magic 50lbs off. Where’s that gone I wonder lol. Still on 5 pen and I just ordered another 5, see how I get on. May go up next time. As I have been a bit hungrier sometimes.
@ETPhoneHome19. Well done on reaching target!
@taratill hope you found something to wear in the end, I feel the same about buying clothes when i still have loads to lose.
Hope everyone else is doing ok and coping with this heatwave if you’re in Essex like me!

MoneyJo · 07/07/2026 08:10

Well done @Beehivebabe
I haven't weighed for nearly a week as I've been away from home, and I usually weigh daily. I've mostly kept to my new pattern of eating but I have let things slip a bit. On the other hand I have walked miles so I will be disappointed if I haven't at least stayed the same. It has convinced me to go up to 6.25 for my next two jabs then potentially 7.5 (my next pen is 7.5).

Beehivebabe · 07/07/2026 09:35

@MoneyJo thank you! I hope you’ve enjoyed your walks which are just as important, and you know you’ll be back on the daily weighing etc soon so enjoy a little time off.

ShebaQueen · 07/07/2026 10:50

Incredible weight loss @Beehivebabe! Good luck with the house sale and search. I am in Essex too, it's been very hot!
Fingers crossed for you @MoneyJo, I travel for work and find it really difficult to eat well when I am away from home. I am sure your step count will have helped

taratill · 07/07/2026 12:48

Hi everyone, I've also had a busy few days, FIL out of hospital so DH and DBIL are taking it in turns to act as carers on a week on/ week off basis, one of the dogs had a bite when I was walking her so now she's in the cone of shame and DD is playing loads of cricket matches as we are in full on county season .

I've found a dress in the wardrobe that I can wear for the funeral on Thursday I just need to get some shoes. I work from home and have done for years so I mostly wear trainers and none of my more formal shoes are black!

I've mostly kept the steps up but have had a couple of days where I've felt exhausted so stuck to 10k instead. I'm not sure whether that is down to hectic life or SE of going up to 5k but yesterday when I dropped DD off for cricket warm up I got in the back seat of the car and slept for an hour and a half! Luckily I found a shady spot to park car as there was no way I could get home.

Feel a little better today so back on it!

taratill · 07/07/2026 12:54

@ETPhoneHome19 well done on being so near to target, hope the nausea has eased off.

@rockstarshoes I'm with med express and they send the email 2 weeks after you buy, as you say how can you know if the dose is working or not? I'm sure you'll get 1/2 a stone off before your holiday.

@Beehivebabe well done on the loss! How annoying about the silly offer, fingers crossed you'll get a sensible one soon.

@MoneyJo I'm sure you will be fine, walking is good!

Junmaro · 07/07/2026 20:22

I’ve found a new way of accelerating your weight loss - contract COVID! I’ve lost 3lbs in less than a week due to feeling like death warmed up in conjunction with WLIs.

Hopefully I’ll be back to my former glory next week.

Started at 15st. Down to 13st 3lbs. First goal was to get to 12st which is top of my healthy BMI, so I’m now well over half way, and for the first time I can just about make it out on the horizon!

taratill · 07/07/2026 22:10

Goodness me, hope you're OK @Junmaro? That sounds really rough.

I think we are following a similar trajectory, as I also started at 15 stone and am now hovering around the 13 stone mark. Out of interest how tall of you?

I’m just under 5’9”. How about yourself?

taratill · 08/07/2026 07:03

@Junmaro I'm a lot shorter than you at 5'5", I should have realised that when you said 12st is top of heathy for you! I blame the heat.

In other news I am NO LONGER OBESE!!!!!!

BMI is 29.8 this morning!!!!!!

First goal reached!!!!!!!!

Snoringdogsfarting · 08/07/2026 07:05

Well I have no idea what’s going on with me ! I seriously don’t go over my calories and yet I haven’t lost a single thing in flipping ages and actually have put on 2lbs 🥺 I’ve read threads where people say “it’s impossible not to lose weight if you’re sticking to your deficit” and the such like but seriously I am not miscounting and am not doing anything different to when I was losing . I did try doing the reset thing at the weekend and ate a few more calories but that hasn’t helped. I don’t excise but never have so that’s not the reason. It’s been a long time time March 13th when I started and yes I’ve lost weight but want to lose a bit more . Anyway all I do is moan, sorry 😞 Boiling weather again today - I’m going shopping but Aldi is always chilly so that’s good

Can you exercise @Snoringdogsfarting ? Once I had got past the first month I noticed that the number of steps I do has an impact on my weight too and I don't really lose if I don't walk.

I can walk a bit - normally do between 3 and 5000 a day but I can’t do anything else. Waiting to see a surgeon for an op (upper body) which has been a long time coming and still waiting …..

MoneyJo · 08/07/2026 09:28

That does make it difficult @Snoringdogsfarting hopefully you can get your op soon.

Really feel for you for this. I pilled on the weight when I had ankle surgery.

Have you calculated your TDEE against your current weight?

Well done! 🥳🎉

Thank you!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 08/07/2026 10:21

Due second jab at 3.75 this evening - no se so far and I’ve felt the difference. Glad I increased the dose but also glad I was able to stretch out 2.5 for as long as possible- this is a long haul journey for me and I worry about running out of rope! Weight this morning was 98.1 which takes me to BMI of 34.9! So I’m just obese now. My highest BMI was 43 so it feels great to sneak under another milestone.

Continuing to exercise, mostly eating well but have had a lot of trips and events recently. But I am able to clamber back on the wagon in a way that always eluded me before. So I’m pleased with how it’s going. Brill to read everyone’s progress - we’ve got this!

taratill · 08/07/2026 10:43

Really glad you've noticed the difference on 3.75 @SmallTreeDeepRoots , I've noticed the difference on 5, but again no SE which is a relief. I've even stopped getting the localised reaction at the injection site. Amazing news on your BMI too. Little victories like that are so motivating.

I am amazed at how well it's going too. I got the dogs out early again and have already done 14k steps, I'm walking SO much faster now.

Beehivebabe · 08/07/2026 11:56

@taratill well done! No longer obese is a great goal to reach. Glad your FIL is out of hospital now. Well done on continuing your steps, I’ve noticed I feel lighter and more energetic for things.
@Snoringdogsfarting. Sorry to hear you are stalling, do you need to increase dose? Sorry I’ve missed what you are on. I think going up does kickstart things. This week I’ve noticed I’ve been hungrier so I may need to go up to 7.5 in a month. I already got my next 5 pen today to start next week so it will have to do for now! I’m also away soon so anticipating I will put on a bit like last holiday.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 09/07/2026 16:38

@taratillI'm with you on the BMI. I just checked online and am at 29! No longer obese. I lost 1lb this week and was feeling it's not much but now it feels like quite the achievement!

Beehivebabe · 09/07/2026 17:30

@Dontlletmedownbruce well done 👏👏

Snoringdogsfarting · 09/07/2026 17:57

It’s ok I’ve lost 1lb 🤣😂🤣😂 Hopefully
it’ll continue going down. I did say I wanted to lose a “bit” more due to wrinkles and saggy skin but have decided I might try for another 2 stone and get over my vain self 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ve lost 5 stone overall, 2 on my own and 3 with mj
I’m on 5 mg atm and don’t want to go up
even though I get really hungry by the end of the week - need to have some self control or how will I ever be able to come off it? Deffo can’t afford to be jabbing forever.
Take care if you’ve got these ridiculous temperatures everyone, it’s literally gross

Beehivebabe · 09/07/2026 18:12

@Snoringdogsfarting. 1lb is still in the right direction so well done. Your overall loss is amazing 👏
I agree about trying to keep the dose low, it’s just a bit of a shock to actually feel hungry again lol. I remember my first week and I kept forgetting to eat 😅
tomorrow hopefully the temp will be down a bit in the south east altho I keep thinking our holiday will be these temps! It’s a bit different tho when you have access to a pool all day and someone else making drinks and food haha
