Weighed in this morning, 16st 7lb, so that’s 48lbs off 🙏 but the most satisfying thing was my bmi is now 39.6 I know still high but not 40 odd anymore. That seems mad!
good luck to any weigh ins today x

ETPhoneHome19 · 01/07/2026 07:11

I’m in a little predicament, I’d initially said I’d like to get down to 85kg from starting weight of 98.5kg. My weigh in Saturday was 86.3kg so not too far off 85. I’d like to lose a little more I think but unsure how much. I have 1 full (4 dose) pen in the fridge and I’ll take my first injection from it this evening.
Do I order another 5mg or hang fire as I’ll want to go back down the doses when I’m at target.

Morning all, good to read the comments about wrinkles, I am certain that being overweight kept my skin smoother, but I have accepted that losing weight will show in my face. I'm in my 60s, so wrinkles are definitely to be expected!
@Snoringdogsfarting I'm sorry you're feeling a bit fed up. Maybe you could try some treats every now and then, or switch up your meals - I am guilty of eating the same things in rotation because it's easier than thinking about it and working out calories, but it can get boring. 39lbs is a fantastic loss.
@taratill your step count is really impressive, but if you are feeling hungry then maybe it's time to go to 5. It has taken me a while to settle on 5 and get over the side effects, I still feel nauseous sometimes, but no food noise.
@rockstarshoes welcome home, hope you had a great holiday, but sorry to hear you've been unwell. Hope you feel better soon. Re runny nose, do you suffer from hayfever? I don't thankfully, but others in my family do and they tell me this summer is really terrible for pollen.
@Beehivebabe I use EL too and like you, have no idea if it makes any difference! I am drinking loads of water too, so I'm hoping that also helps.
I have weighed today and have had a bit of a whoosh, thanks to routine and getting back on track with exercise and food post holiday. 1.9kg off, which is lots more than I've been used to losing in a week recently, and I've got rid of my small holiday gain plus a bit more, so am very pleased. 15.5kg off since I started on 27th Feb.
Hope everyone has a good day, I am loving the cooler temperatures, but I can see the heat will be back at the weekend.

rockstarshoes · 01/07/2026 07:43

@BeehivebabeThat’s an amazing loss & great news on the BMI!
@ETPhoneHome19 Tricky decision. I’d be tempted to go for another 5 but I am losing really slowly.

MoneyJo · 01/07/2026 08:28

@ETPhoneHome19 I would still go for 5 but if you want to take a lower dose when you get to it just count the clicks. It will work out cheaper that way.

We are away from home for a week so I won't be weighing. I have weighed every day since starting MJ so it will be interesting to see what happens.

ETPhoneHome19 · 01/07/2026 10:47

I’ve just ordered another 5 🤞🏼 will see how I get on. The next pen will take me up until my holiday too

taratill · 01/07/2026 10:52

Morning All!

i am tempted to go up to 5 as am not having SE.

Actually vaguely wondering whether to click the rest of the dose today. Does anyone know if we can do that?

taratill · 01/07/2026 10:59

@rockstarshoes did you have a nice holiday? Where did you go? Has your tummy setted at all now? Agree that the runny nose could be hay fever, I've got the hayfever sniffles at the moment.

@Beehivebabe I'm a little in awe of your loss. Absolutely amazing! And well done at tipping in to the 30s in BMI.

@ETPhoneHome19 So good that you are so near goal already. I think you did the right thing ordering another 5.

@ShebaQueen well done on 1.9 kg in a week. That's amazing. With you on the cooler temperatures, so much easier for walking/ exercise.

@MoneyJo , it will be weird for you not having the daily weigh! Hope you have a good week away.

Well I was starving with actual rumbling stomach by lunchtime and I had a look at some old threads and decided to go for it, so I've done the 15 extra clicks for the full 5mg this week.

Fingers crossed that works and I don't end up with any SE.

Beehivebabe · 01/07/2026 18:30

@taratill hopefully you will be fine and I think it will help going up to 5. Occasionally I have felt a bit sick the day after jabbing but it doesn’t last and isn’t everytime.

@ShebaQueen well done on your loss this week, I had a similar experience after my April holiday. It gives you a nice boost doesn’t it?! I too am drinking loads of water, needed in this heat too.

@MoneyJo. Hope you have a good week away and can cope without the daily weigh in. I sometimes weigh every few days and I seem to plateau for 5/6 days before I drop again.

Well today our house went on Rightmove and we already had 2 viewings and 5 more lined up!

taratill · 01/07/2026 18:53

@Beehivebabe, that sounds really positive with the house, especially in the current climate.

DS turned up at home today unexpectedly as he's feeling under the weather (too much partying). He and DH watching the football. I'm still trying to get steps in 17,394 so far.

Beehivebabe · 01/07/2026 19:00

@taratill. Oh wow I admire your determination with the steps!
Football on here too, thank goodness looks like a win!

taratill · 01/07/2026 19:02

Thank goodness they've won!

Beehivebabe · 01/07/2026 19:07

@taratill definitely! Can you imagine if they hadn’t 😅

taratill · 01/07/2026 19:21

Beehivebabe · 01/07/2026 19:07

@taratill definitely! Can you imagine if they hadn’t 😅

Lots of disappointed people!

My son once played against Jobe Bellingham when he was very very young so we have a bit of a soft spot for Jude in our house.

DD isn't interested in the footie. She's rooting for the England Women's cricket team in the T20 World Cup semi final tomorrow night.

I've just been told the Mexico match will be at 1am, I feel a bit sorry for the young kids who will miss out.

rockstarshoes · 01/07/2026 19:45

Phew to that result!
Feeling better thanks Taratill although still abit bloated & sore!
it’s definitely not hayfever, full on cold! ☹️

I was in Sheffield, not a common holiday destination but catching up with friends & family.
Back to work today feels like I haven’t been anywhere after one day back! 🙄

ShebaQueen · 01/07/2026 19:56

Great news about your house @Beehivebabe, how good to have immediate interest!

Agree with all of you, phew re the football!

taratill · 01/07/2026 20:28

Glad you're feeling better @rockstarshoes , hope the cold sorts itself out soon too. I haven't been to Sheffield for a long time, my youngest brother went there to uni 30 years ago. I can remember Meadow Hall! Hope you enjoyed catching up with friends and family .

I'm procrastinating now. 19,086 done, I need to finish!

Dontlletmedownbruce · 02/07/2026 09:38

Well done everyone! I'm off the wagon a bit. I had an upset tummy about 2 weeks ago the day before I was due to inject so didn't and I was a bit off for a few days so let it slide. I also had a night out on a hot Summer eve and kind of enjoyed being able to drink a few glasses of wine without feeling ill, I really can't do alcohol on the pens. Then I had a dental issue, I was on antibiotics and had a sick tummy, then an extraction and heavy pain killers etc. Bottom line is I didn't inject for nearly 3 weeks but decided to go back to it yesterday. I get so fed up sometimes and a little part of my brain tries to convince myself that I could live with being this weight and save myself all this work. I'm back in a smaller size wardrobe now and feel good in it. But of course I would regain within weeks, I've been gaining and losing the same stone for 20 years. It's the second stone that I need to lose and I'm only beginning that process now. Then I'll consider the 3rd. Anyhow, back on track from today and pls God a lb or 2 down next week. Weigh in day is Thurs and I've maintained despite no WLIs so that's good news.

taratill · 02/07/2026 10:03

@Dontlletmedownbruce sounds like you've had a really rough time, no wonder you have got fed up with it.

I haven't gone off alcohol with MJ which sounds like it is fairly unusual. I do have the occasional drink which obviously isn't idea for weight loss.

Glad you're back on track and it's impressive that you've maintained despite no injection for 3 weeks.

I'm struggling with clothes at the moment. I'm probably down a size but I don't want to buy much as I've still got over 3 stone to go. I've got to go to a funeral next week though, and I don't really have anything suitable to wear. Looks like it is going to be a hot one too, so that makes it more complicated.

Rather than buying clothes I've been treating myself to more skin care products in the hope that I can avoid wrinkles as much as possible.

ETPhoneHome19 · 05/07/2026 12:35

weighed in this am at 85.5kg which is 13kg lost since the start of March. I have 3 doses left in current pen then a full pen.
Original target was 85kg but I’m going to see how I feel at 82.
Struggled a bit was nausea this week which I haven’t suffered with previously, so had a few days on eating a bit more basic and carby but still in calories.

Junmaro · 05/07/2026 12:42

Weighed in today at 84.7 kg down from 96kg at start of March. Am only just getting to take the full 2.5mg dose as the first injection knocked me for 6.

whilst my loss isn’t amazingly fast, I have been able to maintain a full social life and not feel deprived at all really, which for me is a fantastic balance.

looking to lose around 10 more kg and then maintain from there on in. The benefits of losing these first 10kg have been wonderful, and am sure there’s more to come.

rockstarshoes · 05/07/2026 22:13

I stayed the same this week which is good considering I was away for 5 nights but I thought the upset tummy might have shifted another pound!

@Dontlletmedownbrucewell done on maintaining without the wli
@ETPhoneHome19 that’s brilliant! Must be great to be at goal
@Junmaro Same! Weight loss feels slow for me too but while I’m staying within my calorie deficit most of the time I am still living my life too!

Has anyone gone up to 7.5 yet! Just had my next 5 pen delivered but wondering if I need to go up?

I have a girls holiday at the end of September - I really want to be at least another half a stone down by then!

rockstarshoes · 05/07/2026 22:14

They seem to do the assessment of whether you need to go up a dose so far in advance of the jab being dispatched etc!

MoneyJo · 05/07/2026 22:53

@rockstarshoes my next pen is 7.5. I have one jab left from my 5 pen but I'm thinking of taking 1.25 from the new pen to make it 6.25, then the week after also counting clicks to take 6.25 again. After that I'll see if I need to go up or can stay on 6.25.
