I’ve taken the plunge and ordered wegovy from bolt just waiting for approval.
I’m 5ft 2 and 77kg! 12st 1 I want to lose 3 stone in my ideal world but 2st 7 would be ok.

PamelaShipman80 · 02/03/2026 21:28

Done my first dose tonight! Looking forward to not being obsessed with thinking about food tomorrow! Lets see!

Engineeredit · 02/03/2026 21:31

I bought it in December and it’s still in my fridge. Still trying to work up the courage to use it.

Behealthy2026 · 02/03/2026 21:32

I'm m waiting patiently for the delivery this week from Bolt. I don't whether it will come with a bin. Does anyone know? I'm ready to start asap. I never actually weighed myself but I will do before I start.

anyone using any good apps? To track weight loss, eating habits and side effects?

Poor you! You do need to re-think your diet on WLI.

I definitely had too much cheese on one occasion and felt yucky all night and slept very badly. I now avoid anything high in fat like sausages, chips etc.

I try to focus on lean protein and veg/salad or soups and drink lots and lots of water. Otherwise, I get the dreaded constipation. Really painful!!

If I want to eat a little something but don’t fancy an actual meal, I usually chop up a couple of apples or other fruit. That keeps me going.

Thanks for this, I don’t think i was expecting this so quickly and I did a mega fail of not having done my food shop so got that coming tomorrow with better things

illsendansostotheworld · 02/03/2026 21:40

Following as not even ordered yet but at 5"1 and nearly 14 stone l need to sort it out but can't decide which one to go for

FeelingFineNow · 02/03/2026 22:13

I’m on the second week of Wegovy. I need to lose about 2 stone. I weigh on a Friday and lost 4lb last week.
Ive never eaten much in the way of actual meals. For me it was chocolate, crisps, biscuits etc. The food noise for me was terrible. I would lay in bed knowing there were biscuits in the cupboard and would have to eat them before I could sleep.
my diet consisted of:
breakfast - nothing
lunch - a cappuccino
dinner a fairly healthy meal
BUT at bedtime I would eat family size bags of crisps, whole packets of biscuits, family size bars of chocolate.
That has all changed, the food noise is nearly gone. I have had chocolate twice and found it too sweet. I don’t want it anymore.
Side effects were:
a nasty constant headache for the first week, gone now.
A feeling of being full all of the time and nausea.
Constipation.
My diet at the moment is:
Breakfast - nothing
Lunch - a protein shake
Dinner - a small meal or sandwich which I don’t normally finish.
Snack - corner yogurt.
i know this isn’t enough food but it’s all I can manage. I don’t intend to stay on the injections more than three months, so hopefully when I stop I will be able to increase my food intake healthily without slipping back into bad habits.
good luck to all of you new starters.

May I join in? I’ve ordered mj and planning to pick it up on Wednesday. Quite nervous. I need to lose 50kg to get to the top of healthy bmi, so quite a job and I’m really hoping this will be the difference that makes the difference. Also I’m keeping it secret as DH very anti wli and so I’m especially worried about side effects. I’ve started weights at the gym and am working on getting 3l of water a day (including herbal tea). Anything else to prepare?

Sounds like a great first week! Well done on the 4lbs loss!

That’s amazing can I ask how soon after jabbing did you feel the suppression

FeelingFineNow · 03/03/2026 08:41

laul , the next day. It’s such a strange feeling.

HolyMoly24 · 03/03/2026 10:33

It’s the following day and I’m still craving my mid morning cuppa and biscuits. Not ideal.

No horrible side effects yet though so that’s good.

DramaDivaDi · 03/03/2026 10:36

Well I lost a pound yesterday! Not feeling any different though - neither appetite suppression nor side effects.

laul · 03/03/2026 10:54

I feel no different as of yet I have ate usual breakfast hoping it works for me

TheEgg2 · 03/03/2026 11:01

I also had 4 stone to lose and on Week 4, day 3 of Mounjaro 2.5 mg and I’m 10.5 lbs down. I can’t pretend the side effects haven’t been tricky to manage but I’m delighted and 19% of my way there.

PamelaShipman80 · 03/03/2026 11:35

@TheEgg2 thinking of it as a % is a good way to look at!!

I’m feeling very thirsty today! And not hungry…but the food noise is there and I want to want my mid morning brew and biscuits. I definitely have problems lol

SparklyTwinkleGlitter · 03/03/2026 12:06

@FeelingFineNow can I caution you to be wary of stopping the injections too soon?

I’ve read a few posts on MN from people who’ve done similar and gone straight back to old habits and even worse, they re-start the injections and…. Nothing.
They have to go up the doses to a much higher dose to feel any suppression. Have a read of the maintenance threads.

I’ve got 5 st to lose in total so more than you (only another 2 to go!) but my GP said you need to stay on WLI for at least a year in maintenance for your body to get used to your new normal and a new healthier diet.
So it’s not really a quick fix.

That’s good to know, I will reconsider thanks

Gemolina79 · 03/03/2026 14:33

my first dose is in the post and excited to get started

I absolutely agree. I did 4 months and stopped a bit before I got to target as I was away and missed re-ordering. I managed a good 6 months maintaining by not eating UPF but slowly they start to creep back in. I agree it takes a long time to change habits of a lifetime. Interestingly, the hunger/food noise didn't come straight back, rather it crept back slowly.

ShebaQueen · 03/03/2026 17:39

I did my first Mounjaro jab at the weekend. Appetite suppression kicked in within 24 hours, but it's not total, I can definitely still face food and I'm eating 3 meals a day, just smaller portions than usual.
I've struggled with side effects though - headaches, heartburn and slightly lightheaded, haven't felt great at all. I'm focussing on protein, drinking loads of water and hoping I'll feel better soon. Aiming to lose 3 stones

Sameoldsameold78 · 03/03/2026 20:18

Can I join please, I have two stone to lose, did my second mounjaro jab today. Felt strangely hungry today.

Beehivebabe · 03/03/2026 22:42

Hello all, can I join too please? I have deliberated over WLI for a year! And finally took the plunge Monday. Just waiting for my delivery. Nervous to start but I have a lot to lose and I’m equally nervous about the future at my current weight and age. Also started healthy eating Monday to get my head in the game. Thank you to everyone who has offered tips x

LoudBiscuit · 04/03/2026 10:26

My first MJ pen arrived yesterday and I’m trying to get brave enough to use it. Need to lose around 5 stone, always been a yoyo dieter but piled on weight with depression, perimenopause and chronic pain. I have a new hip and need to look after myself better now … but I like food and I guess I’m apprehensive about not wanting to eat, as well as the side effects! Also feeling a lot of guilt as I feel like it’s cheating - I’ve lost several stone twice over with Slimming World, but just can’t seem to get my mojo back this time.

just need to get on with it …
