Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

I’m losing again. Just 8.5kg to go, which feels so much better than 10kg to go that I’ve bounced around for months.
Ive a set of exercises from the GPs physio and a referral to the hospital physio to get my shoulders going. I’m planning to soak in the hot tub and try the exercises at the weekend.

The last piece of furniture I’ve ordered comes tomorrow so I’ll be in the living in my home not just unpacking and organising stage which is lovely.

All very positive, well done! 8.5kg to go is very doable 💪.

Glad to hear you’ve some exercises, that should help a lot. I’ve really been enjoying my weights, especially now that my arms & legs are slim enough I can see the muscle building up!

Off to the theatre tonight and am meeting DD and a bunch of her friends there. The weather is so odd right now - warm, grey, threatening rain so it’s been hard to decide how much summer to hang onto this evening. I’ve ended up going all black but with “Mum Glam” bits of skin: long slim flares and brushed sleeveless (speaking of weights) roll neck jumper, kitten heel thong sandals and a red lip. Meeting all the YPs has made me extra aware I’m in fact An Old so I am leaning into looking respectable. 😁

That sounds like a lovely outfit! What did you go and see? Keep up with the weights, as the Pvolve trainers constantly remind me during the class, muscle is the most metabolically active tissue in the body so the more we have, the better our metabolism is! 💪

Hope the shoulder improves! Unpacking your home is such a PITA isn’t it? We’ve all got boxes that we’ve moved from House to House which have never been unopened… I’m currently trying to embrace Swedish death Cleaning, but I’ve a long way to go!

8 1/2 kg is eminently doable… Keep going💪

Latest in mounjaro body dysmorphia. I hadn't realised how much my thighs and waist have gone down since it was last slightly cooler weather. My thighs are still very melted candle so I hadn't really realised they're considerably smaller candles. Feels like I'm going to have to gaffer tape today leggings on to keep them in place as they're too loose now! I was so thrilled when I first sized down to them, even though I could barely breathe once they were on.

jay55 · 16/09/2026 13:33

It’s both frustrating and delightful to pass through a clothes size quickly.
Congrats on the skinny thighs.

Thank you. They don't seem skinny by any normal standards and still look like half set jelly when in motion! But I might be a Primark medium now which feels a long way from the XLs being tight.
And if I manage to stay this size then I can buy something nicer than cheapy Primark ones!

How often are people who are in maintenance currently buying MJ?

Just looked at my order history and it's bang on 5mg every 2 months for me throughout this year. Weight totally unchanged for about a year now.

I did think about coming off fully this September and seeing how it goes, but I'm a little nervous about it. I don't worry about the weight side at all as I could do with eating more, but I do really like how I feel when I take MJ. About 48h after injecting, absolute calm bliss, nothing can get to me, and I have some high pressure days ahead.

I need to buy 5mg monthly or my provider will drop me down to 2.5mg as a “new starter” - they seem quite worried about people gaming the system, whether stretching out higher pen doses or working with more than one provider at a time.

Which provider are you with?

Mine seems a little 'desperate' in comparison, so far have prescribed right away, and send reminder emails to get a new prescription every few days.

I don't mind as they make it easy and convenient.

I've had very little MJ last 6 weeks or so, and I'm somewhat curious about how long I can see this out.

random223 · 17/09/2026 20:34

I would be interested to know the provider too, or other people who are going longer between doses on maintenance

Pharmulous. They have been pretty good generally, but quick to ask why I’m ordering “late.”

Weighing in

W97D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:11st 11bs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW: 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
4th GW: 11st 4lbs
TL: 7st 12lb
Pounds to go:7!

No change this week, which is a bit annoying as I did hit the 8 stone lost milestone earlier in the week. It's going to make me work for it to make that official though! Hopefully next week.

Mounjaropen · 18/09/2026 11:11

Good Morning all,

Friday update from me

weight - unchanged, hovering around 135lbs

Exercise - I've been heavily training ahead of my impending Lagree trainer's course so this week I have done 3 x Lagree Classes, 5 x Pvolve and 5 x treadmill walks. 💪

Nutrition - been pretty good this week, clean eating, plenty of fibre and decent protein intake. I have discovered a really lovely cottage cheese- 'The Estate Dairy' made with Jersey milk. It's really creamy, smooth texture and I've used it to replace any salad dressings. Per 100g it gives 13.2g of protein at 130 cals. Would recommend to anyone who, like me, is wary of cottage cheese having been scarred for life by the versions available in the 70's/80's when everyone's mum seemed to live on it with Rivita 😂

Beauty - considering a hydra facial this week - has anyone had one? Zero spend on products and have been religious over my red light therapy.

Fashion - zero spend this week, going to wear my new lace Zara jacket tomorrow to a fancy lunch at the River Cafe to celebrate one of the kid's work achievements. Lots to still load up onto Vinted. Sold 3 empty Liberty Advent calendars on FB Marketplace that I had in my 'to sell pile' so @Goldleafcat don't throw yours away when you have finished with it! I hope you DH is going from strength to strength? Just booked a late sunshine Greek Island break for next month so can't yet put away my summer wardrobe.

Planning my home Lagree studio right now - exciting times if I can get it built for my budget and also get planning to operate it.

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend. Looks like the weather will hold where I am...!

My weight went to shit after I carefully tapered down having changed nothing in terms of exercise and diet. So I am resigned to 5mg a week for the foreseeable. I obviously have a hormone thing going on in the background. Bizarrely I also had less energy.

I'd recommend. the peloton ones. They wash well and keep their shape. Not very expensive if you choose the ones in the sale. Mine average around £15 a pair.

I’m very mindful of your experience! And I treasure the way being on the jabs keeps me from craving the dopamine hit of eating more than I need.

It was disappointing tbh but also explains why I failed to lose much weight before MJ. I am also mindful of the fact that other people have successfully transitioned off them, so my experience might not be the same as others!

Well I finally made it to a bmi <25. As a slow loser I should be ecstatic but the reality is I had a horrid virus this past week ( pretty sure it was Covid19) and I am struggling to want to eat anything still. I went from 9st 8lb to 9st 2lb in 7 days! Now at 9st 3lb and will probably go up again which is fine, I don't like losing weight this way.

Anyway, pre MJ I was 14st 5 at my heaviest, I started Mj at 14stone. My current goal is 8st 12 to give me a few lbs leeway in the healthy weight zone which is sub 9st6 since I am 5ft 1. It is weird I still feel quite chunky yet this is the lightest I have ever been as an adult. I am at an awkward between sizes thing too - 10/12 in most clothes. According to my scales my body fat was 58% and is now 30.5%.

I am currently on 10mg and I have 7.5 and 5 pens ready since my current pharmacy sees me monthly but I use the 5th dose. Almost 2 years on this stuff at a cost of about £4k - worth it and I am lucky I could afford it, but I do hope I can maintain and not have wasted it.

Congratulations on the BMI and reduction in body fat (Although it was a pretty rum way to achieve it) hope you are feeling better now? You'll have lost muscle in your illness, so do try and prioritise high quality protein to aid your recovery. None of your efforts will have been wasted if you are committed moving forward to a new lifestyle rather than falling back into old habits. Keep going!

Checking in. Still maintaining. Was on 7.5 but after a really stressful period I’ve upped to 8.5.
has anyone experienced dealing with alcohol? SS age 50 is in a bad way. It’s all kicked off while we’re on holiday. We’re driving down to get him on Thursday when we come back but I have no idea what to do next.

Lovely to hear from you. Sorry you're having such a stressful time. It might be best if you post in Alcohol support on her? There'll be someone who comes along with advice. Having dealt with alcoholics in my family, the only thing I would advise is that the person needs to want to deal with the issue - without that commitment it is a very long road ahead. Thinking of you and your family. 💐
