We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Did they confirm it would be at the old prices?

How did you do your height? I sent a screenshot of my NHS app for Oushk so haven't had to do it on video yet

FurForksSake · 01/09/2025 15:47

Yes, also very glad to be a year in.

I’ve just read the thread about coming off and being starving. I really was planning to never come off. I’m hoping the longer i can be around the same weight before I come off the more I’ll get used to the amount of food I can consume and my body will see it as normal. I’ve read about set points, people often talk about that and how you might bounce back to a number your body feels happy at. Research doesn’t really seem to support that as a thing.

I’m beginning to think with my hip and potentially not being any surgery they are willing to do I might not be going back to work. If that’s the case I certainly won’t be carrying on buying pens after Christmas.

20bloodypounds · 01/09/2025 15:48

I've lost an elephant's heart and a human brain. That's close to 3.5 stone.

My user name was from when I'd put on 20 pounds during lockdown. But I was already 20 pounds overweight at that point.

I remember being so scared at the start of this journey. Trembling and feeling sick at the first injection - I must have watched the injection video about 50 times! Then stressing about every possible side effect. In anticipation, I bought OTC medicine for sickness, diahorrea, constipation, heartburn. Reflux / heartburn has been my only ongoing issue. I've been sick twice, each time when I think the cumulative dose was getting a bit high for me and my sensitive body, and bowel movements are not quite as regular as previously... but never anything to worry about.

I am so glad I started when I did. Price of course! But also, in those early months, no-one asked whether I was on weight loss injections (probably helps that I'd lost a similar amount years previously with a strict and restrictive diet - and put it all back on again!). I think now there is so much publicity that it's one of the first questions people ask. It's OK if people wonder or ask about WLI, but people who have not been on this journey, simply have not been on this journey, and they don't understand it, and they make false judgements and assumptions.

It hasn't all been easy. It has required a complete re-think in how and what I've eaten, and how and what I will eat in the future. At my small stature, I have to be prepared to really restrict the total calories I have. I have learned that lesson, I hope.

And along the way I have the company of you delightful folk. Those who post a lot ( @Blondeshavemorefun ) and with hilarious typos Grin but also those who post occasionally but with insight and honesty.

Thank you everyone.

20bloodypounds · 01/09/2025 15:53

@FurForksSake I used to be a reasearch scientist and I can't find any credible evidence for 'set point'. Certainly not a static one that is way above where you currently are.

I think sometimes when we are losing weight there are points when we 'settle' for a little while, although my own personal experience (n=1 so not scientific) is that my weight might remain static but my body measurements change. It's sort of a catching up, and our body systems being reassured that we are not starving.

That’s my plan @morbidcuriosity as want to maintain

height in front of a mirror with tape measure hanging down so she could see where it got to

I don’t think they are very hot on it tbh

its been on hold on my cc for 3w as £161 for 10 I think

I’ve been on a little search on prices. Huge diff with medicine marketplace /pharmolous v iq/ousch

for 7.5 it’s £30 cheaper
for 10 it’s £40 cheaper

For 5 is £25 cheaper

a lot say both pharmolous and medicine market are good

Although I am and plan to continue to be a lightweight only on 4.5mg and planning on working my way down further, so long as food noise stays away, I shall be shopping around for the best deals from now on.
I didnt when I started, but am now on the books of 3 and registered but cancelled with Juniper.
The cheapest will get my business, no more loyalty🙂

FurForksSake · 01/09/2025 17:47

I am hoping oushk will see others pricing and bring theirs down.

Motnight · 01/09/2025 17:48

Checking in. Minus an elephant's penis, a 2 year old (human!) and a chihuahua. So far.

Motnight · 01/09/2025 17:51

Just went through the steps with Zava of reordering my 2 15 ml pens (order made last week, it's still processing) to see the price increase. Gone from just £400 to £659 😂. Really

Motnight · 01/09/2025 17:52

Oops Really hope that I get my last order through at least.

poppym12 · 01/09/2025 17:59

An Irish setter and an ostrich egg.

I haven't looked at any new prices because I'm not buying any more pens. I've got 2 and a bit to use (15mg) so I'll have to work out some kind of moving down for maintenance - then I'll be going it alone!!

I'd like to be 2 or 3 kg lighter but I'm not going to beat myself up if I stay around this weight.

I’ve just signed up to pharmolous - ordered a 7.5 as Cheapest around and

wait for this

free p&p !!

they don’t have any in stock at
moment but as I’m happy to wait as have 2 pens I’m fine

if they are happy to do maintenance and assume they are as put in my height weight bmi and ‘approved’ then Ousch can fuck off

as it’s a saving of £35 plus p&p which is I think £6.99 via O so £42 diff

OP posts:
WorriedRelative · 01/09/2025 18:51

My next 15mg pen will be over £60 quid less than Oushk and no P&P so closer to £70 saving. I was willing to pay a bit extra for selecting a day but not that much! Especially as last time they sent it at random

PoemsForTea · 01/09/2025 21:09

Checking in fruits - 1lb short of a red settter however I prefer a small bale of hay and a car tyre!

PoemsForTea · 01/09/2025 21:11

Feckin hell @Blondeshavemorefun how big is your fridge 😆

Wingingit11 · 01/09/2025 21:26

I’m edging to moving from oushk to pharmulous but as I have three pens in hand I’m wondering if I’ll have to start back with oushk who seem relaxed about lags and would be able to reconcile it
