We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Curate the cheeky buggers rang me imm I sent my email. If they speak to me they will then proceed with the order and they cant process it till speak to me

once they approve the order you can’t cancel it. So I refuse to speak to them as know they will then approve me and I can’t cancel

so I ignored their call. Twice

@Blondeshavemorefunwhy don't you want it? Even with 4 in the fridge I would have another 10 for £161 . I have 3 in fridge and a 7.5 coming from oushk next week, would 100% have another.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2025 17:18

Really ? I guess the 10 could be used to double dose a 5 and last 10w but would they be pushing the life limit …..
also the cost tbh

ive put on my cc so have nearly £800 in pens on it - which I need to pay for. I don’t have that spare money to just pay card off

OP posts:
morbidcuriosity · 03/09/2025 17:23

Ah, OK the money ain't good, £800 ha. Whoops! I took money out my savings to cover the extra, was happy to do that.
Also the 10 weeks thing, my random 5mg I had I used that for 10 weeks of 2.5 to make my 10mg 12.5 and was happy to do that, seemed to be ok. Back on 10mg weekly now though.

Ithinkimrincewind · 03/09/2025 17:26

@Blondeshavemorefun 19.3 😱.

@FurForksSake I used to be a reasearch scientist and I can't find any credible evidence for 'set point'. Certainly not a static one that is way above where you currently are.

I think sometimes when we are losing weight there are points when we 'settle' for a little while, although my own personal experience (n=1 so not scientific) is that my weight might remain static but my body measurements change. It's sort of a catching up, and our body systems being reassured that we are not starving.

I’m not scientific at all but during a recent conversation with my Dr son in law he said to me, there’s no such thing as a stall. If there was people wouldn’t starve to death. It was probably wasted on me because I really am that dense scientifically but for some reason it’s stuck with me.

Oh and this is a Dr, a family physician with a special interest in preventative medicine/health/fitness etc. He’s the living embodiment of what he promotes and he would give mounjaro to everyone who needs it, even repeatedly. Which when you think of it, is a bit at odds with his - if something didn’t exist a hundred years ago, don’t eat it.

FurForksSake · 03/09/2025 18:43

@Weepixiehave the grand babies gone back to school? How are you doing?

I haven’t pooped in days, I stopped taking my lactulose again. Cleaner is here tomorrow and then I’ll take it again.

I have my stage one sickness absence meeting tomorrow, I’m very worried about it. I’ve filled in uni forms to suspend my course and I’m feeling very sad and flat. My hip is so painful and I just feel quite pathetic. I’m going to try and see if gp can give me slow release opiate patches or something.

Azuresky68 · 03/09/2025 21:12

Hello everyone..just popping on briefly after all the chat about pens. I ran out of time to order anymore pens but I have 3x10 and one 12 already ordered before price rise. Just taken 1st dose of 12 5. topped up with 2.5 from another pen. 15 is definitely the magic number for me!
Hoping to stretch out pen use if I manage to maintain now.
Glad to hear that some of you managed to get some stock in at pre-price rise.
I am still calorie counting as I find it's really easy to eat far too many calories with the wrong food choices.
I am having a nice little break without over indulging at all.
Back pain not noticeably improved since injections sadly.

Azuresky68 · 03/09/2025 21:29

@FurForksSake good luck with your meeting tomorrow. Sending best wishes ❤️

Thanks all! DH is being very reassuring and telling me it will be ok whatever happens. I sometimes get into my head that I’m swinging the lead, but he sees me unable tk do anything and that helps validate me.

what will be will be!

wohmum · 03/09/2025 23:35

Checking in for the first time in ages!! Technically I’m really a Sept 24 starter as I think my first dose was a year ago today , but I certainly found you guys the best, most supportive , and DEFINITELY the most chatty crowd!

so lovely to hear everyone’s news and discussion on the price rises.

I’m maintaining at around 9st 3-4 , on a 10mg pen, but stretching it out to a dose every 9-10 days , with 3 x7.5 to come (2 from Ouschk and 1 from Juniper) . Planning to stretch them out as long as I can , probably counting clicks to use as a 5 after the first pen.

total loss is 66lb ( about a stone pre-MJ) so the famed elephant penis plus 6 guinea pigs!

Thanks for the Juniper tip @Blondeshavemorefun, I copied you in ordering and just read that you found them easy to cancel , so that’s a relief!

Good luck tomorrow @FurForksSake / hopefully it won’t be too stressful

FurForksSake · 03/09/2025 23:43

I’m imagining the Guinea pigs wearing the elephant penis as a communal hat!

well done!

how are you finding the stretching to 9-10 days? I’m on 12.5 and gone out to 8 days, but did feel I could have gone an extra day.

thanks for the thoughts, I really struggle with the unknown. By this time tomorrow it will be over.

Motnight · 04/09/2025 07:38

I'm trying to go 8 days not 7 between jabs to try and eek out my pens. I did do a week at 12.5 mg instead of 15 a few weeks ago. I felt starving. Not sure if that was psychological or not.

I am half way through one pen, have another and am waiting for Zava to approve my 2 pen bundle, ordered just over a week ago. So I should have enough to take me to the end of the year more or less. Hopefully by then it will be clear where the cheapest supplies are and I can get a code from one of you lovely people!

I am lucky that I have been able to afford to stockpile. Have decided to carry on with my MJ journey with the price hikes. I am 60. I will either die or become disabled if I go back to weighing nearly 22 stone. It's that simple.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2025 10:17

Happy anniversary @wohmum we don’t mind other monthers as auggies is really the most supportive group and we have elephant penis’s and you claimed yours 🐘😂

yes really easy to cancel but seem you don’t need to cancel just postpone so they send you pens as and when

as I said to the man that’s not clear in their wording so he’s gonna talk to them and change the wording

I do find them very good in replying to emails and my pen came so quickly

oh @Motnight ((hugs)) when you put it like that - die or disabled. We reliese just how well you and me and all of us have done

I am so hungry. I am eating lots this week as I keep losing weight and I actually don’t want to so have eaten cake and chocolate which isn’t the healthiest but have eaten usual healthy stuff , but I actually want to gain a lb or so.

im way under my 11s ((10.5) which I wanted to be so maybe I need to be 10/7 - 10/12 as my bouncy spot rather than 11-11/5

I do def get hungrier day 6 - i WWJ Friday so Thur I am hungry. No way I think I could do over 7/10/12 day jabbing

Meeting done, I cried. But it’s done. Old me would now have buried my head in a bag if Maltesers and I’m only slightly tempted 😆

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2025 13:07

Well done. What did they say ? But fine if you don’t want to say. X

OP posts:
wohmum · 04/09/2025 13:27

well done @FurForksSake best you are glad its over.

I would likely have cried too. But take it as a win that you didn't eat all the maltesers!

I'm finding 9-10 days ok. def feeling a bit hungrier on day 10, but I think that just something we need to get used to
