We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

My weight has dropped by a whopping 0.3kg in the last 2 weeks. I think I've likely lost as much as I'm going to now (34.1 kg, BMI 25.4). I'm not going to cut calories below 1200 to get a couple of kg off; I'm ok with the amounts I'm eating at the moment and the chance of any decent exercise is slim (apart from the odd stroll along the beach).

I've got a family event next weekend that I was hoping to make a bit of an effort for. Last time I saw some of these relatives was around 3 years ago so well before mounjaro. I've tried some of my clothes on today. Too big. Bugger. These are things I've bought this year but not got round to wearing yet.

I could wear what I've got but the baggy clothes make me look bigger. Anyone want to go shopping for me please 😁 (I hate shopping!). What shall I wear!?!

FurForksSake · 05/09/2025 20:40

What’s your style, jeans and nice top? A great skirt that you can wear for lots of occasions through autumn and winter? Maybe some gorgeous cigarette trousers and a fabulous shirt?

poppym12 · 05/09/2025 23:52

Thank you so much @FurForksSake. Tonight has been a bit crap so I haven't had chance to look at all of your links yet. I'm probably going into town tomorrow and there's a smallish m & s so I'll try there.

@Azuresky68we went on holiday near Selby in May, a nice little village. We had a lovely time. I really did want to get out to the coast and do the steam train, but alas not the time. We’d definitely holiday in Yorkshire again. We love Northumberland and Scotland (big place 😆) but Yorkshire has so much variety and much more accessible from where we are based (northern Home Counties).

@Blondeshavemorefunwoohoo in the result you wanted!

So many lovely places in Yorkshire with lots of variety but I still prefer the Canaries for a holiday 😀

@poppym12 agree with @FurForksSake there's lots of lovely stuff in M&S and they have an online sale at the moment..you can get stuff delivered to store for free. My other favourite shop is H&M.
Primark have some great stuff in at the moment.
Maybe check out latest looks and items online before you go.
If you have more time in the future I highly recommend buying from Vinted as long as you know your size in a brand. Filter your search so you don't get overwhelmed.
I have purged my wardrobe..charity shop, given to friends and Vinted.
Although you don't make much you can use proceeds to buy new clothes.
I have made around £130 so far but nothing much more to sell.
Good luck in getting an outfit. Its a good time to buy as lots of new stock.

Azuresky68 · 06/09/2025 11:49

@FurForksSake just looked at your links..some great choices. My Autumn look is definitely jeans..dark denim and white, flared or boot cut. Fitted cardigans and little jackets worn with ribbed tops/vests underneath. Dressing up with pretty tops. I keep getting tempted by all the new stuff I must confess!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2025 11:54

All are very quiet. Hope ok

Morning! I’ve got a tummy ache, I don’t know if it’s constipation or cbd capsules that I tried last night for pain.

ds2 is 10 tomorrow and I’ve booked a table at the harvester, I’ve said I won’t manage to go, but I’m going to try. Sitting in chairs is my nemesis. But now I’ve got a tummy ache! I’m hoping it will go by 6pm.

FlappingMadly · 07/09/2025 12:28

Hello! Still plodding on. Got a crazy stash now, thank goodness with the price hike and have switched to wegovy which I'll get to in December I guess 😂
I had a longish break this summer in an attempt to resentisise myself, I was so so frustrated being on a plateau for months - and it worked, phew! Eyes towards Christmas now and am training for skiing.

FurForksSake · 07/09/2025 12:29

I’m trying to decide whether to have a week or two where I eat at maintenance and then drop a little. Break my stall for my last 3-4 pounds.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2025 16:25

Sorry to hear don’t feel well @FurForksSake. Happy bday to dd

oh wow you did change @FlappingMadly I think you were always one of the lower wimpy. One’s ?

be interesting how you feel on W. Do stay with us

FurForksSake · 07/09/2025 16:29

Ooh I missed the bit about wegovy, I’ve seen lots more positive things recently about that. I think people have been unfairly sniffy about it.

Azuresky68 · 07/09/2025 18:34

Sorry to ask again but which app is best to calculate how many calories to maintain. @BlondeshavemorefunI think you posted this o the last thread. My other half wants to lose a bit of weight and he is actually eating the same as me buy that's not actually enough for him.

FlappingMadly · 07/09/2025 18:38

Hi @Blondeshavemorefun no I was on 15 but nothing. It's not like I expected it to do the hard work but an endless plateau dancing round the same kg. I forgot to take it on hols so just extended it to just over 5 weeks. Then restarted on 5 and reloaded every 72 hours. Worked a treat. One thing I will say though is off it I felt so much more energetic so am not scared of maintenance now.

There are many. I just googled

my original one isn’t there anymore for some strange reason

so tried this one

https://www.bbc.co.uk/games/interactive/glvtw4kct4?id=glvtw4kct4&exitGameUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Ffood%2Farticles%2Fhow_many_calories_do_you_need&palette=colour-palette-11&language=en-GB&project=blocks-food

this one says just under 1600

tho I also use mfp and that says I can eat 1800

which I am generally doing and has been losing a lb a week or so when I actually didn’t want to lose any more weight

he will def eat /need more as 1) male 2) heavier then you 3) taller then you

@Blondeshavemorefun thanks so much for your quick reply. I did a search on thread 16 and found your original answer..it was called coach. Will try the one you have just mentioned too.
He can eat 2000 cals to lose. He's doing it because he want to lose about half a stone and reduce his carb intake. He's already cut out bread. I can only eat 1000 to lose. 1500 for me to maintain. Will see what BBC says now.

FurForksSake · 07/09/2025 20:14

Went out for dinner, the chair was so painful! Even without hip pain sitting in a hard chair is so unpleasant.

i ate too much for me, feel like quite sick! But the kids enjoyed themselves and were pleased I was able to go. My hip now has lots of pressure pain.

I’ve just seen a thread on Facebook on the weight loss board about someone losing a large amount, she had a couple of nasty side effects to very rapid weight loss. It’s an interesting read.

FlappingMadly · 07/09/2025 21:27

@FurForksSake someone on here was talking about bad side effects. Sorry I've obviously missed an important update. What's going on with your hip?

Mfp now says 1300 to lose a lb and 1800 to maintain so there’s my 500diff

which is weird as when was heavier it was 1200 to lose lb a week

surely he the other way round. I weigh less so need to eat less

Can you link it

take a cushion ?

my bum has no fat on it now. So hurts to sit
I’m on a cushion on sofa at the moment

FurForksSake · 07/09/2025 21:57

I really should have taken my seating pad, we are going to see inside number 9 and I’ll be taking it then.

@FlappingMadly I’ve torn my right hip, it’s massively painful and waiting to hear if I can have surgery. It’s not great!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2025 22:26

Oh I did start reading that. Foot pain

not sure why she stayed on it as suffered

no side effects here tbh tho the odd sick day (grapes) but I can eat them now and have for months

tired and wee every hour or two at the beginning after jabbing

but think that was that
