Right... I'm away for a conference today (leaving soon ish) and starting from Monday i need to be 100% back in the game!!)

I come back Friday night at 10pm, Halloween party on Saturday and then on Sunday we are watching fireworks and going bowling.

Sunday isn't really a problem but all the conference food and party food will be.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 29/10/2025 11:21

@Histoscientist You influenced me... Iv bought 2 lots of sealion fat metaboliser powder. Hopefully they will be here in time for Monday for a extra boost.

Last I heard it was only prescribed via NHS for diabetes.
I've just lost 5.3lbs this month, it has to be the sealions, well iimalso adding liquid iron and liquid vitamins to my protein shake as well as the sealions fat metaboliser powder. I bought raspberry lemonade but its a bit sweet so I use half.
I forgot to say it does contain caffeine so be careful if you also have other caffeine sources in the morning. It also has vitamins in so it's good for that.sealions is uk based and very cheap for other vitamins.
I've just ordered creatine from amazon and already had sealions meal replacement powder, 4 pouches! Currently taking myprotein origins protein with creatine in, its really good for the brain.
I'm now 9st 2.8lbs bmi 22.8, I've had some days of higher calories, 1600 and also lower 950-980, but I'm still losing and its fat as ive checked my smart scales, so that's good.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and let me know how you get on with the fat metaboliser powder 😊

thanks for the tips - mine has arrived, but I have my bloods being done next week so I am off all supplements in the run up to that so I will start it next week - I'll probably go for half portions too as I do like my coffee 😂

Let me know if it works, good luck. I need some bloods doing too, been 3.5 years since I have had them.

nearly 6lbs a month at this stage I think is great.

I'm back from my conference and I hurt my foot while away so I'm limping around.

Il be taking it come Monday! I already take iron pills has had bloods done recently and it came back low.

Halloween party tonight! fireworks tomorrow and then Il weigh on Monday to give myself a mind reset. 7 weeks until xmas (ish) so 7 weigh ins. I want to lose half a stone by then and be in the 9s. NO EXCUSES.

You look great on your previous photos so please don't worry too much about the weightloss. Keep doing what you're doing. What is your target bmi?
Yeh I find liquid iron easier to digest, I take feroglobin which is liquid iron as I found ferrous sulphate or fumerate tablets caused constipation years ago. There are other brands and its a bit sweet but I add it to my protein shake. Apparantely ferrous bisglycinate is an easier to absorb tablet form of iron. When you take iron, take it with some orange juice or vit c so it absorbs more.
Yeh I really didn't expect to lose this much to be honest. I'd stalled for 2.5 weeks until end sept stuck at 9st 8.5lbs and now I'm 9st 2.8lbs. My waist looks defined now and my stats are all much better.
Have 2 more doses of 8.5mg to take then a 10mg pen and 1.7mg wegovy, tempted to try wegovy first just to see what it's like and living mj for months later maybe do 5mg from it to maintain.
I hope your foot heals and enjoy your Halloween party 🎃 😊

Hi, can I jump on the thread. Technically November starter but only just as started yesterday and dont want to start a new thread 🙈

Well done on your amazing losses so far!

I am not sure if it is on my mind but appetite suppression started within a few hours. I had the jab just before lunch time, I had the whole afternoon to myself at home and I usually will tell myself I need treats as everyone is out enjoying themselves! I didnt even think about food then had to make dinner because I knew I needed to eat as opposed to wanting to.

I feel similar today so far, I just feel a bit odd, can't put my finger on it.

I am not really sure of my target weight yet. BMI says 49-66kg with other methods saying around 54-58. My lowest ever weight was 8st9 when I was 25 and I wouldn't have wanted to go lower than that, I started getting into quite high intensity fitness and stayed around 9st1-4 but looked slimmer that when I weighed less. From age 40 to now I have crept up and up!

I am 46 now so thinking probably around 9st6/60kg. This would be around 2.5 stone in total.

Has anyone had any experience of losing weight in their 40s, do you find you need to keep a bit more on due to aging face etc? Or is that just a myth?

Thank you. I dont really have a target BMI, I just want to be between 9-9st 7lbs....

When I have used up all my iron pills, I will get some liquid, I already take them with a swig of orange juice in the morning, they do give me constipation though!

Let us know how wegovy works if you decide to try that!

I actually went back to 10mg and, I had some spare left in a old pen so i used the rest of that up, so iv actually took 12.5mg this week! need the boost!

Also Cherry sealion, not to bad taste wise. Could be sweeter though!

I thought the cherry was fine, I tried a half serving in a 600ml shaker, so i guess it was quite diluted. I'm off all vits and supplements until after Friday's bloods. I haven't had any done for prob at least 10 years so I'm curious. Last time I didn't get any feedback/results..got to love the NHS sometimes. This time I saw a locum about my pesky tinitus, and he was all pro getting regular checks and a follow up consultation.
Im curious as to what they say.... also got a hearing test booked and he'll follow up on that with me as he's an ENT guy...and had my latest mammogram 2 weeks ago so all sorts of feedback to come...actually I do love the NHS really!!!
Been very unfocused on weight management though..ooops....seasonally affected for me...I hate this dark, drearyness.

I'm sure it will be fine, good luck and try not to worry no matter what the scales show.
I've worked for the nhs for 21+years now! So I don't have a choice but to like it, but it's not perfect. There's just not enough staff to meet demands unfortunately so everyday is tough when you feel you can't do enough.

Good luck with your health issues, blood tests and mammogram. Fingers crossed all is fine for you.

I had a really stressful situation last week and I've had crippling anxiety for 4 days and a racing heart and palpitations for 6th day. For 3 weeks ive had really poor sleep daily max 4-5hrs a night due to a prior stressful situation, so I'm struggling. Trying to get to GP today but having to wait for a response to an econsult which was 3.5hrs ago! Has anyone else found stress responses worse on MJ? I have reacted badly to stressful situations on occassion over last few decades but seems worse this time to the point where i just want to be alone. My appetite has been practically diminished too. Someone did suggest could be a perimenopausal symptom as they had reaching heart and feeling of dread upon waking, and mine is worse then. I'm off work at the moment but do want to get back into it, but it's hard with little sleep esp as a manager.
