Hello fellow JJers.
just done second 2.5mg dose. I appreciate this drug v v much.

Lifecircle · 12/06/2025 18:54

Gosh... the 1st thread filled very quickly.
I did my 3rd weigh in today and I'm 6lbs down. Happy with that as I don't expect to lose my weight quickly.
I jabbed for the 4th time of my pen and have purchased relevant needles to withdraw the golden dose next time. I've continued with mild nausea at times but suppression has been good. My 2nd pen is ready in my fridge.
How's everyone finding it?

Itsjunedeer · 12/06/2025 19:09

Hi, I have been following the last thread. Well done on all the losses! I have my first month ready to go in the fridge but waiting until tomorrow after work to start. I will post all my stats on Saturday but jumping on to start my journey with you. I’ve been on a couple of weight loss threads on here before and found the support and accountability really useful.

Tinybirdie · 12/06/2025 19:23

I'm ready for my third dose tomorrow. Feeling a little snackish tonight!
Thanks for the new thread!

Xmasfairy86 · 12/06/2025 19:24

Thread 2 already?!

W2 D5 and period hormones are strong! However, still eating around 1500 cals, some more sweets than I’d like but no where near the amount I’d eat in the run up to my period normally. The ability to not eat is such an odd feeling 😂😂

Booklover2021 · 12/06/2025 19:25

Are people sticking to 2.5mg? Someone said I should order 5mg and long out the doses if I want to stay at 2.5 but there's some confusion over shelf life? Some say it's 30days whatever, others say it'll last longer in the fridge?!

I won't be going up to 5 regardless, if I feel the need to up I'll do 3.75 first

Mynewusersame · 12/06/2025 19:38

Thanks for the new thread!

Weirdly looking forward to my second jab tonight once the kids are in bed. No real side effects and have found the change really subtle so far - the jab seems to have taken the edge off all cravings and food noise which has been perfect.

I’ve decided to weigh myself in kg because I have no emotional attachment to the numbers 😂and can (hopefully) just concentrate on the number getting smaller.

SW 97kg
CW 93.9kg

Really happy with 3kg in first week. Not sure about a target weight, but if this works for me then dream would be a healthy bmi but 65kg seems a crazy goal right now.

I think we are all jibber jabbers as well as June jabbers to have filled the tread so quickly 😂

I feel as though I've eaten far too much today trying to get in all the required nutrients but I've only had just over 1,000 calories, anyone else having this problem or feeling like this? I don't need to eat this much but I'm worried about falling short on my protein and my five a day, it's a struggle 😞

ArwenStewQueen · 12/06/2025 19:51

3rd dose of 2.5 tomorrow, feeling completely wiped out today!

Sounds great if you are around 1000 calories and hitting your protein and 5 a day.

I get it though, I feel like I'm not eating enough fruit, used to have a banana mid morning and then an apple on the school run (and then a whole load of rubbish in the evenings) however now I'm just not snacking, eating a lot of veg with my meals but not a lot of fruit. I'm tracking my protein, and had a protein bar yesterday, didn't really fancy it but 'needed' to hit my protein level!

How do we get the 5th dose out? I’ve heard of people doing this.

Sogfree · 12/06/2025 20:12

I took my first jab this morning. Got really confused about priming. I didn't realise what priming actually meant, so hadn't taken the needle cover off when pushing the end🤦‍♀️

I've eaten less than normal, but I don't know if that's a subconscious thing. I've not amended my diet in any way.

From trying to keep up with the last thread, I'm picking up that I should try to drink more water. Anything else?

healthjourney · 12/06/2025 20:14

W1D5 for me, for the last couple of days I've been hungry by mealtimes but not really in between which is perfect. I'm still adjusting to how small my portions need to be to fill me up. Today at lunch I ate too quickly as I was late to a meeting and really regretted it. I wasn't sick but felt way too full and uncomfortable for a while. Lesson learned - eat slower and try a smaller portion. Walking after meals helps too if I do eat a bit too much

Sam187 · 12/06/2025 20:17

I agree, I find walking after meals a great way to feel better if you're a bit 'full'.

I'm W2 D3, and other than a horrible cold, I'm feeling fine with MJ. Haven't carved crap food despite feeling rubbish so that's a win. I've struggled to hit over 1k cals the last 2 days but it's because my meals have been protein heavy and I've already hit the targets.

We're away to Austria this weekend to visit my boyfriends little one, so it'll be interesting how the snacking/eating goes on the choices of an 8yo. I've banked enough throughout the week to have a small treat though, and my injection day is a Mon, so may feel a little hungry by sat/sun.

Sideorderofchips · 12/06/2025 20:37

Checking in!

RatherTardy · 12/06/2025 20:48

May I join you?

I had my first jab yesterday evening.

No ill effects so far, and I coped with the needle (my two main worries).
But I feel hungry-ish. I'm ok living with that feeling, but I wasn't expecting it.
I'm scared to eat in the evenings as I've read people feel bloated and ill at night.
I'm drinking loads of water.

Hi. Joining as a newbie to Mounjaro 😊. Pen should arrive tomorrow and will start on Monday.

any top tips?!

CreepingCrone · 12/06/2025 20:55

Got my delivery today. I'll be doing my first jab before bed. I feel so nervous, sort of scared to be hopeful in case of disappointment 😒 I'm going to have a "last supper" and an early night 🌙

onceuponatimeinneverland · 12/06/2025 20:59

How is everyone doing in the water intake front? I'm really struggling to get in 1L never mind 3L! I'm trying consciously to drink more but it is a struggle.

I’m channelling my inner teenage girl and keeping a mega Stanley with me at all times. The ease of drinking through a straw seems to help!

Wondering how everyone is getting on now with their alcohol relationship? Especially everyone that also had a concern with it.

I'm struggling too and can only manage sips. I've bought the world's biggest tumbler (1.2 litres) and telling myself to get through that at least each day

lyinginthebathpondering · 12/06/2025 21:12

Thanks for the new thread.

I’d posted before about being worried about side effects for week 2 as I felt really quite awful in week one..but pleased to say did second jab last night and feeling only mildly nauseous tonight and quite tired. Hoping it stays that way!

I have however had less suppression today than I did same day last week.

I wait with anticipation about what the rest of the week will bring!

Stablegirl2012 · 12/06/2025 21:18

W2D2 for me and definitely felt a bit more nauseous this week, I think my water intake has also dropped a bit so I’ve had to make myself have a bit more. Thankfully the nausea has gone and I started taking a digestive enzyme before each meal which I think has helped. Loving that I’m finally starting to lose and also to shake off some well-embedded habits that were no good to anyone. Feels weird not thinking about food all the time though, right? Hope everyone’s feeling ok 👌
