Well I've finally done it, after much stalling. I just injected, I can't believe that you can't even feel the needle going in. After my dramatic countdown 😂

I'm going to keep busy today and try not to focus on (imaginary) side effects!

I feel excited, this has to be it for me. I really owe it to myself to succeed and get to a healthy weight. Without being dramatic, before it's too late.

I was the same with the needle. Really didn't feel it either

Hi there. I'm new and just received blood test results from SheMed. Still no idea if they'll accept me though. I'm hoping that this will be a supportive place to share and support. Wishing you all lots of luck in your journeys.

You have about the same as me to lose and welcome :) I'm new as well just started this week

Thank you 😊. I feel fine so far today. I don’t usually have breakfast anyway and just had scrambled eggs on toast. Drinking lots of water and so far, so good.

MtKiloMounjaro · 14/06/2025 12:19

I need some encouragement or snap to reality... I keep seeing people losing 8ish lbs on week 1. I'm w1d3 and I've not budged at all. I've no real side effects which is great but I'm also not getting that stuffed feeling people talk about after eating so little.

My prescription was issued the same day as my blood test results 😊

@MtKiloMounjaro - please don't worry. It's really easy to get side tracked but it's your journey, not anyone else's.
I think that there are a lot of factors at play. Some of us come to Mounjaro after losing weight by other means, some start their journey with the jab. That definitely would have an effect on weight loss.

2.5 is not actually thought to be a therapeutic dose, so weight loss may be associated more with better food choices, eating more consciously, drinking more water.
I'm W1D6 and not experienced a full feeling, but am definitely not interested in food. I've gone shopping for high protein tasty things to try and entice me.
I've definitely had loss this week, but I'm drinking more water and avoiding food after 19.00 to avoid late night snacking, so I'd expect a loss of some description.
Please don't get disheartened.

Hi, just did my first injection today. 5st to lose ideally....
I was petrified for the injection and then felt a bit silly afterwards as it was so painless!

Hi
Some great losses, well done to you. 3rd jab last night and I weighed this morning lost 6.4lb in two weeks. I did see 159lb yesterday but this am it was 160lb so I will take that. I am honestly happy for that in two weeks. This week the jab seemed to last as I wasn't wanting to eat mid week like last week. I am drinking 1 litre of water plus 2-3 cups of tea at work and then maybe a glass of water at home and a couple more cups of tea. I did at least 10,000 steps by a mix of walking in my break and walking twice after work once home after tea. I doubt I will get much in this weekend as the weather is awful and I have a lot to do at home.

I also purchased the folding bike I mentioned so will see how that goes 🫣. I have had a dry mouth on waking most mornings and I have been more tired than usual on a few nights. Other than that not much really by way of side effects. I did notice this week after a bigger meal in the evening that my stomach gurgled an awful lot for about an hour or so. I think I will try and repurchase this week as I am unsure how long it takes, I thought you got an email reminding you, but nothing so far and don't want to risk it taking ages due to shortages. Is everyone sticking to same provider or moving about for cheapest prices as I have read on other threads? I would be concerned of things getting held up whilst they check with previous provider. Is everyone looking forward to moving up to 5mg or thinking of sticking with 2.5? Have a great week everyone!

I think I'm going to decide on Wednesday which will be 3 days before my 4th jag, so 10 days before I need a new pen for 5th jag which should be enough time for delivery.

I still haven't told anyone though, so I'll going to have to work out what to do about fridge storage.

cdrn · 14/06/2025 13:07

Hi all, I’ve been reading the last June thread and catching uo with this one. I’m day 2 of my first jab and feeling ok.

I was super anxious doing it, not because of the needle, but because of the side effects.

When people say they’re not having enough protein, how do you know how much to have?

I need to up my movement, and make sure I’m driving long enough water. I mix it with a bit of squash as I really don’t like tap water!

I’m not feeling hungry, it’s funny, because my stomach goes like it’s going to do a big gurgle but then nothing. Yesterday I ate a fairly proper sized tea and felt fine, but I hadn’t had much for the rest of the day.

We’re having a take away for tea tonight for an early Father’s Day treat, so will just have to be careful what I have.

I'm 5’8” and currently 16 stone. Those height weight charts say my ideal weight is 11 stone but that feels unachievable at the minute. I’m aiming for two stone, but not sure if I’ll stick with MJ for all of it due to the cost.

xx

baggybags · 14/06/2025 13:10

I have 5st to lose too. No pen yet though, but hopeful for next week.

NevilleBigBottom · 14/06/2025 13:31

5st would be the absolute max I want to lose, and I don't think I've been that weight for 25 years. So I may stop at 4 stone if it feels more comfortable at that weight.

lyinginthebathpondering · 14/06/2025 13:59

baggybags · 14/06/2025 13:10

on HRT?

Yes I am - estrogen patches and the coil for progesterone

Nerdippy · 14/06/2025 14:00

W1D7
Just taken 2nd dose. Had hunger pangs yesterday and had a couple of small snacks. I haven't had SE and have lost 3 lbs. A little bit disappointing, but I'm telling myself that it was the first week and early days!

Good luck everyone!

on HRT?

Yes.im on patches and progesterone tablets. Take thyroxine too.

baggybags · 14/06/2025 14:10

I'm early 40s & have been debating taking it. At least two weeks of the month I feel like shit. Does it make you hungrier though? The pill never agreed with me.

baggybags · 14/06/2025 14:27

Awful abdominal pain today. My ribs feel really tight. I've had Rennie but no real relief. only had a large omelette for brunch

SusanSHelit · 14/06/2025 14:39

Week 3 for me today. One stone down five to go! Though I fully expect the next 5 to be much much slower than the first one.

I do already feel better though, have lost 5% of my body weight and I'm 16% of the way to my goal weight

Didn't have a huge loss this week but (tmi) have struggled to poo, so I've bought some docusate and will up the water intake this week in the hopes of getting things moving along a bit more frequently.

As ever, onwards and downwards!

I have similar to these:

Itsjunedeer · 14/06/2025 17:10

I did my first injection this morning, under the supervision of my DD who is about to start training as a paramedic 😁 all good!
Only thing I have noticed so far is a spaced out feeling. Intake wise I don’t find daytime difficult, my downfall is evening bored/reward snacking. So hoping after dinner I won’t succumb 🙏🏻

SW108kg
TW- initially 96kg ( was there a couple of years ago)
After that would love to get back closer to 83kg

Some fantastic losses. Even with this to help you are still having to keep focused and make a conscious effort so well done 🌟🌟🌟
