I can’t believe I’ve lost 1 1/2 stone, I feel so much better. My hips used to hurt, that’s gone and my blood pressure is back in the normal range!
I’m going to have 1/2 stone goals going forward. I expect the weight loss to slow down a lot now but that’s as it should be.

wheretheheckissummer · 25/06/2025 09:22

quick question about electrolytes. Are they all pretty much the same or are some better than others? There seems to be a variation in
price and don’t want to spend a fortune if the cheaper ones are just as good.

Yes I'm certain it's the Mounjaro- started soon after taking 4th jab. Sulphur burps, gurgling stomach, nausea and terrible diarrhoea like nothing I've ever had before. I haven't eaten for 2 days and don't think I'll be able to eat today. I feel shocking.

All the best @loopylou459 . Completely understandable. Wishing you luck on your weight loss journey whatever route you take.

I've got a trier 3 weight loss meeting today in the NHS . Do I tell them I'm on Mounjaro if they ask (private scrip) ? Will they kick me off? As I think I will need that support going forward.

I’d tell them, but I’m quite open with all my health people. I don’t always do what they say, but I’m honest 😂

I ordered a bundle of three 5mg pens to save money! Missed the bloody delivery yesterday by 30 min - had to go to work. Managed to get to Royal Mail delivery office today and retrieve before it went back out in delivery van. So it was in transit for 43 hours. The cold packs still feel cold so hope ok!! What a palaver

Where did you order from?

ChiaraMontague · 25/06/2025 10:38

Anyone else gone completely off tea?! I wouldn't survive the day without atleast 5 cups a day. I think i've had only 2 cups in the last 3 weeks! Still enjoying a coffee though!

Yes! I would be drinking 2 coffees and at least 3 teas during the day, usually more! Now I’m able to drink my morning coffee and I just don’t fancy any other hot drinks. I’m glad I’m not off it completely because I’ve got collagen powder that I dissolve in the coffee, I don’t know if it would taste weird if I put it in something cold.

I feel really thirsty for water though!

ChiaraMontague · 25/06/2025 10:41

Last night I went to yoga for the first time since starting the jabs. I was a bit worried that all the bending and stretching would unleash something terrible, but all was fine!

Also noticing that my gym T-shirts are A LOT looser around the waist, and my leggings fit much better.

Whatanidiot123 · 25/06/2025 11:04

@wheretheheckissummer Some electrolytes are full of sugar and additives - personally I would look for ones that are as natural as possible. I use ancient and brave but thinking of trying Humantra.

I can’t believe how much suppression everyone is getting. I’m still pretty hungry in week1 but hoping that it improves. Still reckon I’ve lost a couple of pounds though and will weigh in tomorrow.

My face is thinner and I can see the start of a collar bone emerging. I belive this id called a “non scale victory”. I’m going to keep an eye on that, it’s helpful to focus on things which change rather than scale numbers

Sadly tea and coffee don't really count as fluids as they make you pee. Water is best. Avoids dehydration and keeps your bowells in check too

Chellooo · 25/06/2025 11:24

So did my weigh in this morning before I take my 4th jab, and I'm down 9lbs, am absolutely delighted!!
Have ordered the 5 pen for once I finish the current 2.5 so will see how I go. Been fortunate enough not to have many side effects so hoping to lose a bit more then come off toward end of summer...in my head I needed the jump start and hope to be able to carry on on my own once I get a fair chunk off me.

farfallarocks · 25/06/2025 11:58

I think my friend just started feeling it from 5mg and lost all the eight from there although was trying to be sensible.

i have total suppression on day 3 and 2.5 to the point im forcing myself to eat but doubt im making it to 800 calories a day. Feel amazing and no energy dips, eating super clean, almost buzzing but not sure this is a good idea long term. Eek.

Has it been easy? Or did you have to tell yourself not to eat still

EmmaPoppins · 25/06/2025 14:51

Welcome new June Jabbers!

So much going on within this thread, great there are so many of us in the Mounjarno boat but appreciate some journeys are rockier than others!

Week 3 and 10lbs down for me, side effects have been ok, a couple of cold flushes the night after the injection have been the most dramatic for me.

I've focused on protein and eating well. I guess I am also fasting as don't tend to eat before 12 and not after 8pm but hadn't planned to fast.

I've had a couple of sessions with a PT teaching me how to strength train.

Losing weight just finally seems 'doable' with Mounjarno.

I went to my son's school fair, it would normally seem like a valley of temptation, hotdogs, chips, candyfloss, cakes, ice cream and I just wasn't bothered about any of it.

I don't feel like I am missing out at all. I still go out and been having a few drinks over the weekends.

I went out for Sunday lunch last weekend, just had a child's roast beef, which was plenty.

Buffet lunch at work meeting yesterday, just had chicken salad.

It all just feels very achievable, I'll still got a loooonggg way to go, but really think I'm going to make it.

Keep going everyone x

Starting tomorrow because I had a big meal already today. Nervous. Picking up some anti nausea meds (cyclazine) in preparation.

Tinybirdie · 25/06/2025 16:24

W4 D5 and my weigh in day tomorrow. I suspect I've not lost much if anything but I'm okay with that. Still planning to stay on 2.5mg. I have felt hungry at points today but fended it off with lots of juice. I am so sick of juice 😀😀 I'm scared of side effects so really want to stay on a low dose even though I do get periods of hunger. I don't want to depend on the medication to take that feeling away.

MummySharkDoodoododoo · 25/06/2025 17:05

Just done the golden dose with the needles somebody recommend in here. And it was so easy. Didn't feel the injection and no pain. And there was more than a full dose! 😀

How did you get it out the pen?

I did that. Still sitting by my bed unopened six weeks later - haven’t had the slightest side effect yet. Hope you’re as lucky.

Haven't really thought about it to be honest...it's just switched off the need to snack and overeat which is what I was doing, so I've had light breakfast and lunch then a fairly substantial dinner as I'm usually hungrier at night, I've just polished off a steak salad and chips but ended up leaving the chips as wasn't interested.
And I noticed in the run up to my period i lost nothing then it all came off the next week so deffo worth sticking out for a few weeks so it all evens out, as I was raging that week 😂
