W2D5 for me and today I am feeling great after a rather lacklustre week.

It’s funny - I’ve been feeling this week that it isn’t working like it was last week, as I’ve felt much more hungry than I did last week, even in the first couple of days after jabbing.

I’ve been slightly worrying that I still think about food a lot…

BUT…I have realised that actually I am thinking about good food only! It never crosses my mind that I would eat chocolate or cakes or crisps. I’m thinking about salmon and marinated chicken and good stuff!

I had a M&S halloumi shakshuka yesterday from their high protein low carb range and my god it tasted like the best thing I’d ever eaten!

I was worried that starting the jabs was me saying goodbye to ever enjoying any food again, so that’s a really pleasant surprise. I hope it lasts!

I’ve ordered my next jab and gone for 5mg. As I can feel it a lot less this week compared with last I think I’ll regret it if I stay on 2.5mg. I’m thinking that I will probably start on 3.75 though and see how that goes. Maybe if there’s more than 0.6ml in the bonus dose I’ll go up a bit then.

Just had a disappointment followed by a win! Weighed myself, sure I would get into a new stone bracket and didn’t lose any again for 3rd or 4th day running. But then I had a shower and got out and I realised that the (big bath sheet sized!) towel actually met and covered me up all the way to the bottom which it definitely did not before!!

SW 21-11
CW 21- 0
GW 11st in my wildest dreams, but my interim goal is 17-9, which would make my BMI under 40

BrilliantineStickInsect · 13/06/2025 12:56

Yeah I’m W1 D6 and feeling pretty much my normal hunger pangs - this morning was the first time I woke up properly hungry. Last night I ate my tea which had a lot of chicken and veg and I still felt hungry later on. Hoping jab 2 at the weekend will do its magic again.

Midlifecrisis23 · 13/06/2025 12:58

I have just picked up my first injections….any hints and tips welcome I’m a bit scared I’m going to feel sick.

I have drink 3L a day and light exercise. Anything else…any better time of days to inject?

PloopDeck · 13/06/2025 12:59

Hello all! Welcome to anyone new! Took my second jab last night, did it the same as the first one, but this time my thigh bled a fair bit and I have a bruise.. glad it didn’t happen the first time as that would’ve freaked me out a bit! Suppression has upped again now, which is reassuring.
I have lost 10lbs in the first week, but I do have A LOT to lose, I’m a very tall size 20/22 and my first goal is 4st (god…) and then and further 2st in an ideal world. Still not told anyone I’m doing this, so thank you for this community x
I’m finding this hard to put out there, but here we go:

SW 22st 2lb
CW 21st 6lb
GW 18st 2lb (first stage)

I thought I had done my jab really well on my stomach

The bruise there says otherwise 🤣

SomethingAboutYou · 13/06/2025 13:11

FirstDayonthePlanet · 13/06/2025 09:26

Morning! I just took 2nd dose last night and lost 3.8lb in the first week which I’m thrilled about.

I posted last week that I couldn’t feel any appetite suppression and it ‘wasn’t working’ but obviously it was it’s just quite subtle and I guess I need to be hit over the head with a brick to notice things 😂

The biggest thing for me is that I’m choosing what to eat not being led by cravings. Still can choose nice tasting things that I enjoy - but consciously thinking “I’ll have protein porridge which will keep me going until lunchtime, and add some nuts/seeds topper and raspberries for fibre” rather than just main-lining buttery toast.

Yesterday I chose to have a triangle of Toblerone, enjoyed it, but then could easily leave it at that.
The week before I would have had 4 (mindlessly consuming 800cals) and had to get my husband to take it away from me to stop.

Yes to this!

I'm making healthy choices without the "fuck it" attitude - or cravings - I normally would have! I've had a truffle from my birthday box every couple of days, just when I fancy it and I have space in my daily calories for it. The first half of the box was scoffed in 3mins (before I joined the MJ train!) So this box has been with me for over two weeks 🤯. There's one truffle left and I haven't been constantly thinking about it. Wild!

W1D5 here and I’ve lost 7 pounds! I am annoyed though yesterday I did start to feel a bit hungry (didn’t think I would on day 4?). Anyway I polished off 2 bags of crisps and then felt really guilty. I’ve started again today as the loss has spurred me on. Side effects have pretty much subsided apart from going to the toilet a lot 😬 I feel fine otherwise though. Averaging around 1100-1300 calories a day which I feel is probably too much but it’s a lot less than I was eating! I’m so happy with the loss though I appreciate a lot of it is probably water. I’ll take it though!

Dellabella83 · 13/06/2025 12:48

W1D6, due second jab tomorrow night. Yesterday and today some food noise has come back. I’m sat at my desk right now after having a high protein lunch and l, physically, am stuffed but mentally, I know I have a yummy protein bar in my bag. Sipping on black tea and water until the urge passes. Hopefully suppression will increase again after second jab.

I'm exactly the same! W1D6 and food noise is LOUD today. I am physically full, still being filled by small portions but my brain is telling me I want more food. It's very strange to have such a clear separation between those 2 feelings. I hope yours passes and you have an easier time this afternoon and tomorrow before the next jab 🙂

Hazey19 · 13/06/2025 13:14

Oh and I have not fancied bread or chocolate (my downfall), since I started. It’s a miracle!

SomethingFun · 13/06/2025 13:17

Hi 😊 I started yesterday. So far no side effects but I also have eaten what I was eating before - around 1300-1500 cals a day. My dh did the food shopping this week so the food in is quite calorie dense so a little is a lot of cals. Ironically he is also on mj and has been for a month but he has huel for lunch instead of food and I think it’s awful!

I’m really hoping this works for me because although I can diet and lose weight I also binge and emotionally eat which negates the days I stay on track.

SW - 180lb
GW - 133lb

baggybags · 13/06/2025 13:32

I had gotten into a binge cycle of eating. It's amazing to have a biscuit or piece of chocolate & feel satisfied with no need to eat the lot.

baggybags · 13/06/2025 13:32

I am feeling very tired this week but have been waking early.

UglyBastardFace · 13/06/2025 14:12

I opened a packet of cheese of onion crisps and what used to taste so heavenly, now tastes like the devils underpants. Oily, greasy, heavy.

Hell hath truly frozen over

AnnTillyMint · 13/06/2025 14:32

Did first jab late morning today after delivery on Tuesday and being super scared to do it. Doing ok but wouldn’t mind a little hand hold, as I’m so worried about being really ill on it.

After losing 8.5 stones under my own steam (which improved my BMI massively but was still at the overweight/obese border) I’ve put 3 back on and am struggling with many clothes in my ‘new’ wardrobe. Think it’s been affecting me more than I know too. I’m just constantly hungry and eat huge portions even though my diet is pretty good, absolutely nothing like it used to be! Just need to eat a lot less and not all the time!

Haven’t told anyone about MJ as afraid would be judged as I weighed a lot less before without having a jab. But it also means I can’t tell anyone how anxious I’m feeling right now.

Mumofboys2006 · 13/06/2025 14:54

@AnnTillyMint- welcome! Im on my second jab - also done this morning. I’ve not had any major side effects other than being more tired than usual after exercise. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you - I’m sure you’ll be fine.

@SomethingFun - Huel is actually quite calorific. Have you thought about making your own protein shake. I use a vegan protein powder and just add almond milk, fruit and some ice and blend. I’m finding that’s really filling me up now whereas before that would have been a snack between meals! I’m an emotional eater too…stress and tiredness is what gets me and it’s so lovely for that just to disappear on the jabs!

Ive just started listening to Dr Jack Moseleys book ‘Food noise’ - really interesting. Can recommend if you’re wanting to know more about the drugs and how they work 😊🙃

Sending you lots of positive vibes! You have done SO well, the jab should take away the desire for bigger portions, it has for so many people, you clearly already have the drive so I’m sure it’ll be a great success!
The first day or so is always a bit of the unknown, but remember that the side effects don’t affect everyone x

flameprincess · 13/06/2025 16:00

Its ok ladies ive solved the alcohol problem, found a non alcohol cocktail that is identical to the alcohol one 😁

W2 day 2 of same. No further weight loss. No SE at all .

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 13/06/2025 16:26

Had second 2.5mg jab last night. Big suppression again today but do feel tired and low blood sugary. Just ate apple hoping that will help

The bruise there says otherwise 🤣

When I was injecting medication years ago, the nurse said a bruise was good as it showed the medicine had hit your blood stream!

SomethingFun · 13/06/2025 17:26

@Mumofboys2006 it’s my dh that’s replaced food with huel - I think it’s minging and very expensive! He’s done it so he doesn’t have to think about food at all apart from the family meal we have at teatime. I’d rather have
400 cals of food myself.

Sideorderofchips · 13/06/2025 17:53

Edited

Oh it definitely did then!

Still had nausea on and off but doing OK with it

ShakespearesSisters · 13/06/2025 18:41

So I'm W2D2. After being away at half term I had a week of IF and lost 4lbs before I took the first jab 6 days later. Lost another 4lb the whem I weighed in the morning before my 2nd dose.
No real SE, tend to be a bit headachy anyway so no different to normal. I've ordered 5mg for my next one.
