Couldn't see a thread for may but hoping I can find fellow starters to chat with. I've opted to go with SheMed and have just received my blood test kit through so should be starting within the next week or 2!

Week 1, Day 5 and just had the most unusual experience. Went to the supermarket for one specific item and instead of rolling around, chucking stuff into the trolley just because I wanted to eat it, I only bought the item I'd gone in for. Very unusual. I looked at all the biscuits and cakes but just turned my nose up at it! Totally out of character.

Suppression really good so far. I have taken to having a small glass of cold chocolate milk (no fancy protein stuff, just chocolate milk) when I get in from work as I start to feel a bit odd by that point in the day, as not eating much between breakfast and dinner.

I was the same on Monday, I walked past all the treats like they didn’t exist and went and bought myself some flowers instead! What is this sorcery? 🤣

BerfyTigot · 15/05/2025 22:24

@Elle771 Good luck, hope you don't have any side effects

Hi all, well its W3 D1.
So far the suppression has been fab most of the time. The problem is actually making my self eat and struggling to hit the protein goals, I'm having to force myself to take my protein shake in the morning for breakfast. And supposed to have another one for lunch. But there are days where that really makes me feel sick as I'm drinking it. I'm definitely not taking in enough calories, I worry this will set me back as In the short term I know your body can store fat. However on the up side so far I'm down 9lb in the first two weeks, I'm happy with this.

Also thinking of ordering next one early as I'll definitely fret if there's some sort of delay.

I've had to add in some squash to the gallons of water I'm drinking as it really was getting boring lol.

Definitely feel appetite coming back on day 5and 6 but strangely enough I still don't want to reach for anything sweet so I'll take that as a win.

Also want to send virtual hugs, support and encouragement to all of you suffering. Such horrible side effects. 💐 I hope they fade fast.

TimeForTeaAndMe · 15/05/2025 23:03

I use scimx diet protein in strawberry. It's packed full of vitamins that I don't normally get from foods as I'm super fussy, but it's also got the protein and low calories. Comes in other flavours too. And to be honest very reasonably priced compared to some of them out there. I just noticed yesterday that the vegan one has actually got even more protein in it. That was in vanilla. I may check to see if they have strawberry and switch. As I'm definitely not getting enough protein in.

Sorry this was meant as a reply to someone but it doesn't seem to have tagged them. 🙈

I just read a couple of the posts about caffeine and realised I have forgot to put one update, I'm completely off my coffee. I did very much enjoy my morning coffee. Which is probably a good thing considering they're saying it can give you more side effects. But at the same time waking up and having a few sips of water just does not have the same effect 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Feeling a bit daunted by the road ahead tonight. Can't go back, to go back is to continue drinking heavily every day and feeling miserable and ashamed of my body, nothing fits, I'm exhausted from minor tasks, avoid going out because of shame over size.

To go forward is to lose at least 100lbs, or at least 7 stone and more. I'm exhausted and ashamed but I need to get out of the house. I would like to join a gym. I'd be woefully inept and knackered but I want to.

I want to move forward. There is no way back.

You’re doing great. Small steps at a time. Set realistic goals like each half stone. Don’t look at the bigger picture as that’s further down the line. But each 1 lb gets to the half stone and then the full stone.

You are doing brilliantly with the alcohol reduction as well which is going to help.

You can join a gym. Look up Aqua aerobics classes they’re great as a starting point and I personally can confirm you see some large ladies doing the moves and enjoying the support the water gives you whilst exercising.

Can I join, please?
I’ve taken my first dose this evening! Eeeek!
I’m so worried about side effects, but so far only awful pain at jab site, so that’s better so far than I expected.

my stats are:
F37
5ft 1
SW as of this evening before jab 11st 9lb,
TW 8st 7lb

I'm so excited to be doing this, but so nervous too.

Just had my second jab this evening,
SW 11st 9lb
CW 11st 1lb
I’ve lost 8lb in a week! I am so pleased with that!
I’ve not taken any measurements, but will starting from tomorrow.
I know I’m now only on w2 d1, but this is amazing, the only SE I’ve had are sulphur burps, for the first few days.

Dh is amazed & other people have started to notice, I’ve had a lot of people saying I look slightly different, & asking what I’ve done, the only person who knows is dh, so I’ve just been sort of shrugging to other people when they ask. I don’t want the judgement, & also don’t want to tell people if this only lasts a few weeks & then stops working. We shall see though, so far I am over the moon.

BrienneMonroe · 16/05/2025 06:58

End of wk 2 for me

SW 208.2
CW 198.8

so 4.2lb off this week and 9.4lbs in total in 2wks. Really pleased!

Macs18 · 16/05/2025 07:18

Hi everyone,

I took my first injection last night. Had a terrible sleep, but I think that’s just nerves!
SW-12 stone
GW-10

I am totally out of control with eating at the minute and my weight is creeping higher and higher. I really hope this works!! It’s so consuming.

I purchased from Voy. I ordered on Tuesday morning at 6am and it was here before Wednesday lunchtime. Just had to send a picture with ID. So straight forward.

Herewegoagain80 · 16/05/2025 07:19

Week 2 weigh in and I’ve lost 7lb in total. I’m really pleased with that 😊

It’s not been easy as I’ve had a fair few days with no suppression but at least I’ve had no side effects either.

Jab no.3 is will be later today and then I need to start thinking about ordering my next pen. I’m wondering how easy it is to switch suppliers each time to get the best discount.

AlrightTrouble · 16/05/2025 07:21

This is a weird outcome but something I’ve noticed is that ordinarily I can be a really compulsive shopper, in that I buy things as a means of moderating my emotional swings throughout the month. I mean, who doesn’t feel better after treating themselves? but I realised yesterday I haven’t done that since I started the jab. So this is having an really positive effect on my spending too!

Bundleflower · 16/05/2025 07:29

Morning all! Some absolutely fabulous losses above - well done!

TMI coming… I last pooed a week ago today. I’ve been having plenty of fibre and even those stool softening power drinks. I think I’m going to have to take some laxatives this evening. Any other ideas, please!? 🙏🏻

hottubsundays · 16/05/2025 07:41

I’m on W1 D5 and I’ve had a dull headache all week. I’ve never been great at drinking but struggle to drink enough as I feel so full! I’m having 3 baby sized meals every day but very low carbs. Last night I was going to yoga and didn’t fancy what I had cooked everyone else for dinner so I just picked on food and felt really full. Then I had my teenage daughters worried about me and husband joined in saying I’m not eating properly 😩 how does everyone else manage family meal times?

Needsomeadvice2234 · 16/05/2025 07:48

I just weighed myself before doing my second injection (second ever so very new to this) and I'm down from 80kg to 74.5kg. Flipping heck I was not expecting that and am a bit worried! And feel bloody rough today.

ElsieJay · 16/05/2025 07:50

@DrWu Amazing loss , well done !
I was looking out for your name , as we started on the same day - am weighing this morning at my little local pharmacy so will update later .
Congratulations- onward and downward !

FlorenceNightshade · 16/05/2025 07:58

@Bundleflower yoga! HRH Yoga With Adrienne has some simple yoga for digestion type videos on YouTube.

Otherwise really pushing your water intake, having a warm bath, strong black coffee and walking more. Sounds like you’re doing everything else!

Elle771 · 16/05/2025 08:04

12hrs after first jab and only side effect is a completely unquenchable thirst 🙈 must have drank 2litres of water overnight!

Still don't feel like all these amazing losses will happen to me but am going to just try my best!

Me too! I’m a compulsive spender, it just gives me a thrill, whether that’s on a nice lipstick or toilet cleaner 🤣. However this week I’ve literally spent consciously without even trying

BerfyTigot · 16/05/2025 09:03

Had 3 episodes of diarrhoea and vomited once overnight. Seem to be ok since about 3.30am. So that's almost 24 hours of diarrhoea and vomiting 🤢

At one point in the night I weighed myself thinking that I must have lost something- nope, not a sausage! I barely ate yesterday !!

But I'm still planning to jab again next week.

I've also noticed that my spending habits have abated as well.

Some of it was clothes and I absolutely refuse to buy any clothes now until I am a few sizes lighter. I have so many already and need to wear these until I require some new ones. In the loft there are loads in smaller sizes and I will be looking at these first before I purchase others.

5lbs loss overall in 2 weeks which I'm happy about. Slow and steady is my motto.

MoggiMay · 16/05/2025 09:10

Very interesting! I’ve changed my spending habits also! I’m a compulsive buyer too
