Thank you for the new thread @Thelittlestranger !
In the past few days it's like people have started to notice I've lost weight. I've had several 'you look well' s.
One outright 'you've lost weight' from a relative stranger and a non-commital 'you look trim . . . very trim!' 🤣🤣🤣
Someone has also told me my aura is different and I am on the cusp of something new. I do feel positive and much more confident in how I look.

Zempy · 09/04/2025 07:29

Checking in lads.

IdentityCrisis101 · 09/04/2025 07:46

Morning. I have found that i am suffering with diarrhoea the day before my jab is due, I can't work it out. It's been 3 weeks and each Tuesday I can't get off the toilet. I would have expected it to be the day after jabbing.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 09/04/2025 08:09

Checking in, thank you for the new thread. I haven’t posted for a while, I had surgery last week so have been focussed on trying to recover, had a few complications and been back and forth to hospital. Food has been a bit of an afterthought, I’ve just been listening to my body and eating what I fancy, not in huge amounts though. I weigh every Thursday, expecting a gain tomorrow but that can’t be helped. No exercise and not been able to cook this week so it was inevitable. Hoping I can get back on track next week.

Yep. Have had a couple of weeks where I've had an upset tummy and diarrhoea the day before or on jab day. No idea why! Have had to jab a day later as I've felt rubbish.

DGonMJ · 09/04/2025 08:35

Thanks for the new thread @Thelittlestranger 🫡

@BreezyPeer must be very noticeable if you’re getting lots of comments! Particularly like the aura comment 😁…do you feel on the cusp of something?

@Zempy sorry to hear you’re struggling on 7.5mg. At least you know your limit know. Hopefully going back to 5mg will be more manageable.

@MummyInTheNecropolis eating intuitively sounds very sensible. Did you have to stop MJ for the surgery?

@IdentityCrisis101 very strange side effect…perhaps as the dose wears off your metabolism suddenly jolts into action?

@heavyheidi congrats twinnie on getting over another set point! I think 65kg is a sticky point for me too. Will be very surprised once I get below it.

Weight fluctuating today. Put back the 200g I lost yesterday (back to 65.8)…despite not hitting calories yesterday. Thinking it might be the salt in the soy sauce I liberally applied to my dinner last night. Wondering if I was craving it after lifting very heavy on Monday. I just about managed to deadlift 70kg - so that’s my current one rep max. I used to be able to lift 80kg so I’ve got a way to go to rebuild my strength, but looking forward to it. Nice to have a goal that isn’t just losing weight.

DareDevil223 · 09/04/2025 08:35

I'm now starting to get a lot of "you are so skinny!" "there's nothing of you" type comments. I'm tallish but I'm 11st with a BMI of 24 so no danger of blowing over in a stiff breeze just yet! I want to lose another 7/8lbs because I'd like to be more in the middle of my BMI range and I really want to be 10 stone something.

I've been tracking my measurements (not from my very heaviest but from about 18st to now) and the inch loss is incredible:
Chest 44in to 35.5
Waist 40 to 27
Hips 49 (!) to 37.

It blows my mind to be a standard size 10, I know vanity sizing yadda yadda but I was dreaming about getting back into my size 14s and here I am a 10.

WLI have changed/saved my life. I wish they'd been available years ago, the grief and mental/physical anguish I would have been spared...

Have a good day everyone.

Just checking in. Thanks for the new thread @Thelittlestranger😘
Had a great night out on Sunday seeing one of my favourite bands from the 80’s. We found a restaurant near the club to have a meal beforehand which was absolutely amazing, but paid for it heavily later that evening with really bad indigestion, so maybe Peruvian food not so good on MJ!

Jins · 09/04/2025 09:07

New thread - Big news!

My BMI is 24.9!!!!!

Sub cut fat still high at over 28% so I’m a lardy looking ‘normal’. Oh and my Renpho scales are weighing me heavier but I started with my basic scales so I weigh on both.

In other news after yesterday’s lazy fit session I’ve found a new muscle in my stomach because it’s hurting. Who knew? I’m still on the free trial but I think I’ll pay for the year as I can actually feel that the exercises are targeting the muscles that need to be targeted, even after 3 days. I told DH what I was doing and instead of laughing he asked if he could use it as well. He’s super fit, cycles, swims, kayaks etc but it turns out he’s got concerns about muscle wastage (!) and is finding the exercise routine from his 20s a bit brutal now he’s turned 60.

I think we’re probably from an age group that missed out on sensible exercise advice unless you actually sought it out. Home equipment was limited to clunky exercise bikes or bullworkers and gyms didn’t really exist when I was young. A lot of my friends have now taken up classes or joined gyms but I’ve swerved them as I think I have PTSD from a vile PE teacher (and also it’s too peopley for me). That’s why I’ve loved my swimming - earplugs in, head down and the only time you’re aware of someone is when you swim over them because they’re arsing around in the lane swimming section 🤣

Who did you see? I love the 80's!
Congratulations @Jins amazing!
Week 15 day 1 today, 1lb loss this week which is a little disappointing but I've definitely not been as suppressed this week and I've just started my period so I might still be retaining water.
I've used my bonus dose today to go up a bit, I think it will have been 5.8 as it was 0.7ml. I lost loads getting the air bubbles out.

New fred 🤗! Marking my place.

Weigh day today - I have now lost 2 stone! My BMI has dropped from almost 35 to just above 30, and I really hope I can finally get into that elusive overweight class next week.
Still can't help wishing that it would all go a bit faster thank 1 kg/week, but hey-ho. I'm over the moon with so many NSVs, so I'm not complaining!
I have not had a single person commenting/asking if I have lost weight, though! Is everyone just too polite? Surely they would notice that I've dropped over 13 kg in recent months... Although I don't socialise much these days, maybe that's why 😂
Jabbed the bonus dose yesterday, 8.75 mg, but will stay on 7.5 mg for at least another pen.

@MummyInTheNecropolis hope you make a swift recovery following your surgery 😊

@Jins well done, that is fab! You’ve just reminded me to check my BMI as I’ve not done it for a while and it is 25.7 now so getting close to ‘normal’ range. I’ll also be a lardy looking normal as I still have wobbly thighs, stomach and upper arms but I am ok with that for now. I’ve been saying for weeks that I need to start doing some regular exercise but I find the whole thing so daunting, so have just been sticking to walking to dog for now.

I am due my second 7.5 tomorrow and weighed in at 10st 5.2 this morning, so have lost almost 3lbs this week. I’ve always been 1lb-1.5lbs a week (apart from the week I did my first extra dose from my 2.5 pen and randomly lost almost 4lbs!) so it does all add up slowly.

Despite my wobbliness everywhere else, I noticed how bony my collarbones look this morning. I’ve never had noticeable collarbones at all so it took me by surprise!

HeavyHeidi · 09/04/2025 09:52

@DareDevil223 I was just thinking about it. All my life I've been fighting my weight. How much easier it would have been..But oh well, can't change the past.

I absolutely agree with the exercise advice. It was all about being skinny, all teen and women's magazines cautioned against touching heavy weights or even bodyweight exercises, as you apparently get massively bulky the minute you even think about it. I hated PE with passion and was always last in everything. But as it turns out, just needed to find the right sports for me.

Congrats on the 2 stone loss! I do think people are just polite. I wouldn’t comment on someone’s weight loss unless I knew them extremely well, or if they mention it first, as I’m always worried it might be a sore subject for them. I think most of the time it isn’t but I’d hate to make anyone feel uncomfortable. The only people who have commented on mine is my DM who said I shouldn’t lose any more 🙄 and a friend I used to work with who has no filter whatsoever 😂

Seaitoverthere · 09/04/2025 10:44

Thanks for new thread @Thelittlestranger

Congratulations @Jins , that is great! There are some brilliant losses on here and it is all very encouraging. So sorry for anyone who had had horrible side effects.

I hope there will be a few of you sticking around please as I am going to be at this for some time judging on previous performance 😀 BMI is now into the 32s so about 10 points down from start (November 2023) so that’s great and the elusive overweight is over the horizon somewhere, I can kind of see it.

Rheumatolgy have just called and I am starting Methotrexate, straight to injections as there is less chance of gastric symptoms and I am now very bring it on about injections these days which is quite a change to getting in a state about a blood test. Apparently I don’t even need to press a button with the pen for Methotrexate. Am going to recover from lurgy, take Mounjaro as usual Friday then start Methotrexate Monday or Tuesday I think. Hopefully by next summer I will be a new woman !

What is the app? I need to do something. I walk loads but I need to do more.

I lost another 2.6lbs this week. It is falling off despite me now being in a healthy BMI (24.1 as if this morning!). I'm with SheMed but will be asking them about lowering my dose at my next medication check in (next week). I'm in 5mg but finding it too strong. I cannot finish a meal! I've gone off a lot of food. I like it, I just only want to lose about another stone and at this rate that's going to be very soon!!

Thank you for the new thread @Thelittlestranger

Checking into the new thread 👋

Jins · 09/04/2025 10:54

@tinyemmy it's This

I’ve started with a seated workout to build strength and focused on my midriff. It starts out very slow indeed but you can definitely feel the muscle groups working. I thought about the 28 day trial first but went for the short trial instead. Now I have the app I can see that there’s a lot more to it, mindfulness exercises, sleep improvement etc but it’s big selling point for me that it’s seated and starts with just 3 minutes.

Morning all, what a nice shiny new thread!
Off for a haircut this morning ready for the big family party this weekend. I don't see my family very often as they're hundreds of miles away so it'll be interesting to see if anyone notices/comments.
Ive started looking in earnest for a different provider for my next pen. Most people seem to be with Oushk on here?

mince3point14159265 · 09/04/2025 11:41

Sort of Everything But the Girl @UnderandOverwhelmed , but they were just billed as Tracy Thorn & Ben Watt. Was extremely lucky to get tickets as they were only doing a couple of gigs at a tiny club. As we came out someone behind me was saying that there were 12,000 on the waiting list! They sounded fantastic and had a wonderful night apart from some annoying git with the most selfish sartorial taste; he was wearing a cowboy hat that blocked out a large amount of our view, grr! Really, who does that? 🤬🤠😂

mince3point14159265 · 09/04/2025 11:44

@Jins that app keeps coming up as adverts on my phone, so interested to see how you find it. Not as free as they initially suggest then? Did wonder if that just meant there would be loads of ads on it, but clearly not the case!
