@tinyemmy it's This

I’ve started with a seated workout to build strength and focused on my midriff. It starts out very slow indeed but you can definitely feel the muscle groups working. I thought about the 28 day trial first but went for the short trial instead. Now I have the app I can see that there’s a lot more to it, mindfulness exercises, sleep improvement etc but it’s big selling point for me that it’s seated and starts with just 3 minutes.

@Jins thank you I will take a look!

Jins · 09/04/2025 12:00

@mince3point14159265 No it’s not free. There’s a free trial, a 28 day trial for 1.99 and a year’s subscription is £29.99.

So far so good but it’s only been 3 days so far. My stomach feels like I’ve done loads of sit-ups today which is madness from what I actually did.

I’m going to do some of the other challenges - I fancy the Pilates and indoor walking.

Thanks for new thread @Thelittlestranger

Congratulations @Jins , that is great! There are some brilliant losses on here and it is all very encouraging. So sorry for anyone who had had horrible side effects.

I hope there will be a few of you sticking around please as I am going to be at this for some time judging on previous performance 😀 BMI is now into the 32s so about 10 points down from start (November 2023) so that’s great and the elusive overweight is over the horizon somewhere, I can kind of see it.

Rheumatolgy have just called and I am starting Methotrexate, straight to injections as there is less chance of gastric symptoms and I am now very bring it on about injections these days which is quite a change to getting in a state about a blood test. Apparently I don’t even need to press a button with the pen for Methotrexate. Am going to recover from lurgy, take Mounjaro as usual Friday then start Methotrexate Monday or Tuesday I think. Hopefully by next summer I will be a new woman !

I'll be here until at least the end of the year I reckon, I've still got more than 3.5 stone to go.

Seaitoverthere · 09/04/2025 12:40

@UnderandOverwhelmed I have a similar amount but I think I will take until summer 2026.

Morning all, what a nice shiny new thread!
Off for a haircut this morning ready for the big family party this weekend. I don't see my family very often as they're hundreds of miles away so it'll be interesting to see if anyone notices/comments.
Ive started looking in earnest for a different provider for my next pen. Most people seem to be with Oushk on here?

I was with MedExpress to start with until I finished 5mg. Just ordered with MedicineMarketPlace as couldn't be arsed with price matching MedEx anymore. It was £135 for 7.5mg on MedicineMarketPlace. Found it on the Monj comparison page. After purchasing online, they asked me for a quick WhatsApp message with my details and a video of my face and the scales 😂 and I was approved the next day 🙂

HeavyHeidi · 09/04/2025 12:47

I hope it's not creating any bad feelings that some people are closer to goal than others? Obviously that's not the intent, we are still all on the same journey.

Jins · 09/04/2025 12:59

I hope not @HeavyHeidi.

Anyway I’ll be staying here with my mates after I reach goal to be a cheerleader (and keep on the straight and narrow). No loser left behind!

Absolutely 100% not, really pleased for those who are and find it very encouraging- I just don’t want to be here on my own 😀

BlueLimes · 09/04/2025 13:18

Thanks for the new thread and well done on all progress. Plodders let’s keep going - I’ll be here for months … I have felt disappointing with my pace but we’re away for a few days, I’m not over eating, we’ve done loads of walking and I feel so much better than I did last year.
Honestly of course i would like it to be quicker but let’s plod (or whoosh for those that can!).

Seaitoverthere · 09/04/2025 13:21

I have switched to IQ Doctor and just had my second 10mg pen from them which cost £136.59. Ordered in 7th and it arrived a couple of hours ago. The first one took a little longer. They seem to have a discount code running so it’s the same across the board for everyone currently.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 09/04/2025 14:26

@HeavyHeidi no bad feeling here, I had 6 stone to lose so it was never going to be quick. If I keep going as I am ill be really pleased, although I am getting a bit fed up of still looking so large! I feel like after almost 2.5 stone down i should be looking better and should be going down a size!

MJalltheway · 09/04/2025 15:45

I'm going to be here for a while yet too, aiming for a total loss of 30kg (4 st 10lb in old money). Happy scale has me reaching that in around September time.
And just delighted for those of us who reach goal sooner!

mince3point14159265 · 09/04/2025 16:40

Same here @UnderandOverwhelmed ! Definitely going to be a while before I get to goal and then feel these threads will be invaluable for keeping on the straight and narrow when it comes to maintaining.
As I approach 3 st lost I feel so much better than I did when I started, am moving so much easier, can feel it in how my clothes are fitting etc, but god did I get depressed when I caught my reflection in a shop window the other day and thought I'm still bloody huge. 😭 Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day and all that. Got to keep on winning losing! 😃

millenialmolly · 09/04/2025 18:16

Just catching up and marking my place. 🤗

After 8 weeks of 5mg, I’m ready for my first 7.5mg dose tonight. So ready for it- my weight loss has plateaued now and worryingly, my appetite has been steadily increasing and the snacks creeping back in the last week. This could be because I’m ovulating and I'm also off work (Teacher) but the hunger has been so noticeable. Did anyone find this after being on a dose for a long time?

2025istheyeari · 09/04/2025 18:34

Hiya
Thanks for the new thread! Well done everyone, 3 months in and we’re all lighter than we were 3 months ago and equally as importantly, still on it!!
I'm another one who’ll be sticking around, I’ve got around 2 stone to go but I’ve found you all so supportive and it’s fab to cheer people on/ talk about our ups and downs so I’m not going anywhere even when I am at goal. I think I’m still going to need support when I’m at maintenance, maybe even more so!!!

MananaPenelope · 09/04/2025 18:36

Placemarking with my new lighter name 🙃.

workingbalance · 09/04/2025 20:20

I’m a slow looser so not leaving anytime soon and I like reading about everyone’s positive journeys especially as I’ve chosen not to tell anyone that I’m on WLI!
millenialmolly I have just gone up to 5mg as finally I was seeing the suppression starting to disappear on 3.75. Day 2 of the higher dose and I remember now what it’s like to have zero appetite! Just hoping the side effects are not too horrendous as they are quite hard to manage when they flare up. Luckily I’m going nowhere for a few weeks!

usethedata · 09/04/2025 21:07

Hi all, another plodder here. I've lost 2 stone now, but still have another 4ish to lose so will be here a while. I found 5mg too strong so went back to 2.5mg and have been gradually increasing. I think I'm needing more of a dose now but going up slowly to avoid the really extreme reaction I had. Next dose tomorrow will be 4mg. Would love it to be faster, but pleased it has been steadily in the right direction!

cloudjumper · 09/04/2025 21:36

I'll be hanging around for a while, too! I still have another 2 stone to go to goal weight, which is going to take me until September at least. And I find this thread so supportive 😍

Chopsticks888 · 09/04/2025 21:51

place-marking the new thread, and thank you to everyone who contributes.
Had a bit of a panic as I ordered another pen online and then had a message saying the order was on hold and congratulating me on achieving a healthy weight. Had a discussion with my prescriber which was reassuring as they will support with maintenance. They were also happy for me to continue to lose a little bit more. (I would ideally like to get to the middle of the healthy bmi range) Loving how much lighter and stronger I feel now!
Still on 2.2 with a bit too much suppression on some days.

myladyjane · 09/04/2025 22:10

@Jins you skinny malinky super well done

i will also be here for a long time with my twinnie @MJalltheway.

little NSV today - I hate having my photo taken and had to have a couple taken with my boss for a newsletter. Just on a colleagues phone in the office. Well I didn’t hate them! In fact I thought I looked bright and relaxed in them and had a jaw line and everything.

supafish · 09/04/2025 22:26

Hi everyone,
im still plodding on . Have lost 20 pounds so far , slow and steady for me . I don’t do any excercise really , walking a bit , maybe I should start . Lovely nsv tho this week , new size 16 jeans thank you very much and all the size 20/22 stuff about to go to charity shop or on Vinted ! Just keep swimming everybody xx😘

RosaBaby2 · 09/04/2025 22:31

👋👋

MananaPenelope · 10/04/2025 06:06

Morning, fluctuation gone, constipation very much not gone. 😫

I had a photo taken at a PR thing last week @myladyjane and I liked it so much that I shared it on LinkedIn - world first.

I’m so busy at work this week that I’m not doing anything other than go to work early, come home late, eat, spend an hour chatting to DC, bed. Boring.

Thelittlestranger · 10/04/2025 06:35

@MananaPenelope I feel your pain re work. Laptop on till late all week. Last week was the same - managed to cram my exercise into the weekend. There is an end in sight luckily. Does take the focus off food somewhat - along with the additional 0.6 which really has made a difference.

Had a sneaky WI mid week and it looks like movement after a sloooowww few weeks. Hoping it sticks around.
