New thread for those who started in January 25. 3 months in and we're still going strong 💪

I wonder now about all those MN threads where people post their weights and claim they wear a lot smaller size than one might expect. So you weigh XXX and wear a size XX? But does it actually fit, or do you squeeze yourself into stretchy size XX, like we all seem to have done, and really need size XX+2? 😂

Polkadotdash · 11/04/2025 09:46

Thanks @BlueLimes I do like walking. The past couple of weekends while the weather has been nice I’ve done about 14,000 steps per day. But it’s not impacted my weight at all. Grrr.
I’m an apple shape too. No bum, skinny legs and arms. Moon face, huge boobs and look pregnant all the time 🤣. Egg on legs basically.

Polkadotdash · 11/04/2025 09:51

@Zempy I’m on 7.5mg, week 3 of that dose. Not sure what to do next. I’m tolerating it well, no side effects. I’ve kind of lost interest in food so I don’t know what I should be eating really. I’m worried that 10mg would mean I stopped eating altogether! I’m already driving my husband mad because he does all the cooking and whenever he asks me what I want, I don’t know. So he just makes me a salad. I fear that exercise is the key. I need a note to get out of PE.

Randomusernameforcode · 11/04/2025 10:16

Thanks losers for appeasing me and sharing stats. Seeing the massive variation has made me feel a lot better, and has been really interesting. Drives home that the message that the numbers on the scales at the end point don't actually matter as long as we are feeling good within ourselves. Onwards and downwards 💪🏾

DGonMJ · 11/04/2025 10:32

I’ve had a woosh! Taking today as my official weekly weigh-in instead of Sunday as I’m away for a week.

Week 14 Day 6 on 4th dose of 5mg
SW 79.6kg BMI 29.2
CW 65.1kg BMI 23.9
GW1 65kg BMI 23.9
GW2 62.5kg BMI 22.96 (officially healthy!)

Loss this week 0.9kg
Average weekly loss 1.04kg
Total body weight lost 14.5kg
% body weight lost 18.2%

Heading off for a walking/reading/relaxing week away in a cottage. So if I come back exactly the same weight I’ll be very happy.

HeavyHeidi · 11/04/2025 11:15

I can have a decent waistline, but really sturdy muscular calves, even when I'm slimmer. Thanks viking/farmer ancestors. The skinny jeans fashion really didn't work for me, looked like I parsnips for legs.

RosaBaby2 · 11/04/2025 11:19

I've got new numbers today after 4lb loss 😊

SW 18st13
CW 15st12

Start BMI 47
BMI now 39.3

On week 3 of 7.5 (I think) I've got another 7.5, a 10 and just ordered a 12.5 today. 7.5 still not working on temptation and food noise for me. I ate 1000 cals of mini eggs yesterday which is just like the old me.

RosaBaby2 · 11/04/2025 11:20

Delicious parsnips I'm sure!!

HeavyHeidi · 11/04/2025 11:54

but yes we're all built so different and it's sometimes good to remember that I will never, ever get slim legs like my best friend, no matter how much I diet. But on the other hand, she is apple shaped and even when at lower end of BMI, had people constantly asking if she's pregnant.

I've now accepted that I'm strong and sturdy, so I'll never be dainty and delicate - skinny cow is not a gazelle 😁

Randomusernameforcode · 11/04/2025 12:54

Ooh NSV that will make sense to you guys... I've just put on some new heigh waisted flowy trousers with a patterned vest top tucked in. I feel great in it and It made me realise this is the first time in ages I've put together and worn an "outfit" and not just clothes! 😁

Grecianrainbow · 11/04/2025 13:19

Normally a gain would make me eat a bag of mini eggs. But today I’m ok. I have finally been to the loo but I’m not weighing again as I’ve also been for a run and eaten breakfast and lunch so I know I’ll still weigh heavy.

Jabbed 2nd 7.5 so hopefully I’ll have a better weekend now.
I’ve started to be able to tuck in my tops too as less stomach conscious - so much better than having them untucked !!

HeavyHeidi · 11/04/2025 13:24

It's such a great feeling when you can put on an outfit and think that wow, I look good! As opposed to 'oh I guess it will do..'

MissPobjoysPonies · 11/04/2025 13:32

You are here!
SW: 198lbs
CW: 174.8lbs
GW: 150 (ish)

Slow and steady wins the race - still in 5mg - gives and it seems to be working for me still so am not seeing any reason to move up just yet.

had lots of comments on “how” and I’m a secret jabber so it’s been a lot of swerving the question. I am not ashamed of it but I have a close friend who is really anti jab and frankly I just don’t see what it has to do with anyone else. It’s working for me, I’m losing what I would per week on a strict calorie controlled diet (1-2lbs av)

HeavyHeidi · 11/04/2025 13:37

@MissPobjoysPonies I'm getting the same comments, that 'but such a sudden/fast/drastic weight loss!'
It hasn't been - I've been losing around a kilo per week, which is a perfectly reasonable and healthy rate of weight loss, recommended even by weightwatchers.

Thelittlestranger · 11/04/2025 13:45

Just under 5ft 2, with big boobs, slim ankles and wrists, good legs and used to have a big tummy until I cut all the loose skin away. Since then weight has gone mostly on my back, hips, and upper legs.

I was a 14/16 when I started at 12st. Clothes and bras were tight.

Now nearing 10st, still not at 'healthy BMI' and wearing 12s, or too big 14s.

We come in all different shapes and sizes - but most of us probably only see ourselves as the picture in our head.

NSV - had to buy a belt at the train station yesterday for a pair of jeans I couldn't do up when I started this 😊

Haven't been on the threads since I started but checking back in as I'm now 3 (and a week) months on it and very impressed (and impressed at everyone else's progress too).

For reference I'm 5'4, starting size was probably an 18 on top and 20-22 on bottom.

SW: 16 st 13 (BMI 40.7)
CW: 13 st 13 (BM 33.5)

Now wearing a comfortable 18 (as tested in M&S, anyway - I imagine it'll vary still) on bottom, haven't tried any new tops on yet and my style involves a lot of baggy tshirts by design. The pain in the arse is that nothing I own fits me on the bottom properly any more except leggings - and I'm loath to buy new clothes while I've got a way to go yet.

The top end of my healthy weight range for my height according to NHS is 10st 10 but honestly my goal at the moment is 12st, I'll be more than happy if I get there.

housemaus · 11/04/2025 14:43

This is one I have to remind myself of - I'm built like a corgi, haha. Even when I was a size 12 I had big calves and a bum, so suddenly becoming a willowy person isn't likely 😂

UnderandOverwhelmed · 11/04/2025 18:02

I'm also a curvy hourglass shape, always got big boobs no matter how much I lose. I'm never going to be able to wear thin person clothes as they tend to look indecent on me, even at my smallest. I got down to 9.5 stone in my early 30s and I was 11stone 9 on my wedding day almost 4 years ago and didn't look too bad, but that was after months of personal training. This gain is from a combo of pregnancy and I think medication in the last 6 months of last year (HRT and antidepressants). Medication seems to have done a number on several of us!

Polkadotdash · 11/04/2025 20:54

I definitely think pregnancy and hormones screw up your metabolism.

I’m having a really crappy end of week and I ate a load of chocolate earlier. Feel like I will never make any progress. I don’t want to give up on MJ because my losses have been so small that I would gain it all back in a heartbeat.

sociallydistained · 11/04/2025 22:30

Placemarking but also second dose of 7.5 last night and tonight I've eaten 2... 2!! Of my sons Easter eggs I just couldn't resist ffs so here's hoping 10mg is the one that takes the urge away. Nevertheless, im 2 stone 3lb down.

sociallydistained · 11/04/2025 22:31

RosaBaby2 · 10/04/2025 13:05

I just had a nap on the sofa, woke up and ate 600 calories of mini eggs FFS!!

Glad it's not just me 🙈

sociallydistained · 11/04/2025 22:31

It certainly is not. It ended up being 1000 cals of mini eggs ❤️

FuzzyFeelingFairy · 12/04/2025 01:00

Just seen we have a lovely new thread - thank you 😍
Gorgeous fellow losers. I feel like I need your help...
I've always ordered from MedExpress (a mix of reliability and naively maybe?) but I've never been able to get my head around the price matching piece.
I'm now on 10mg and Ive got still lots of weight to lose. At least another 2 stone till I'm entering normal BMI.
The cost is adding up! If anyone has any top tips to make pricing more affordable I'd really appreciate and love your views x

Hi @FuzzyFeelingFairy, have a look here, it’s the best place to compare prices, the prices include the best discounts ie are the ones you’d get as first time orderer. I started with MedExpress but also ordered from Zava, IQ Doctor and now settled on Oushk because of maintenance.

Well done on some great losses and nsvs all!!! Sorry to those of you who are struggling, Easter is tricky, and chocolate calls especially if you’re finding it tricky/ having a bit of a stall.

A snackccident as I saw it called on another thread, or a bad day or week doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it’s normal life, we’re all going to have those times. Hope you’re ok and refind your mojos, but try not to beat yourselves up. It’s also good to mix things up, especially if you’ve had a stall so a few days of eating differently/ more may be what your body needs.

@Polkadotdash are you eating lots of protein and drinking lots of water? That seems to make a massive difference to me, and I find if I let too many carbs creep back in that also stalls me. When I was ill the other week and on the BRAT diet as per doctors orders, I could feel the urge to eat more sweet things come in, to do with blood sugar levels and sugar/ carbs are so addictive! Really hope you can find something that works, can imagine how frustrating it is.

After my pound increase last week I seem to be stalling, so I’m praying for a whoosh! Went out with friends last night for drinks, I had a sparkling water!! I hadn’t seen my best friend for 2 months, and she barely mentioned my weight loss, I’ve lost 2 stone since seeing her last! Coupled with seeing my parents in law and sister in law last weekend who said nothing either I’m feeling slightly peeved!! I know people have different views on whether it should be mentioned but these are some of my closest family and friends and they know I’ve always struggled with my weight, oh well, I keep going!!!

Finally got a little scale movement so have lost a pound this week. I think I have been feeling so unwell, I have barely moved aside from shuffling from bed to sofa and back.

SW: 13 st 7
CW: 11: 0

Desperate for a weight starting with 10!!

Injected 45 clicks of 7.5 pen last night as the higher dose was wiping me out. Let’s see how I fare on this dose. Woke up without a headache which is a promising start.

@2025istheyeari that is so annoying. Either they really haven’t noticed, or they’re not sure, or they don’t want to say anything because they might offend you, or they’re jealous.

I am going to see a friend today who knows about the jabs. I’m hoping she will be complimentary.
