Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

Had my 2nd jab last night feel soooooo beloted this morning and had a cheeky weigh and 1lb off tomorrow is official weigh in day but feeling disheartened as I have been so good!

@TryingMJ Botox is painless, it depends on how many areas you have done, I will be getting 3 areas and a brow lift. I have a small amount around my eyes as they are getting a little wrinkly.

For your neck it would be filler. You can also have check and jaw filler this would combat the weight loss face.

Research who you go to and then research some more, my Botox lady is amazing and a trained dentist so she knows what she is doing.

In a few weeks I will name change and post a few before and after photos of my weight and some photos of Botox.

Polyneucleotides also v good for necks - i'm about to get some done in my under eye - they help with collagen production

1lb off is better than 1lb on that's what i tell myself!! Also slower loss means less likelihood of sagging skin

Injection day today - W4.

This week the suppression hasn't been very good for me. I've eaten a lot of crap. My meal planning wasn't great and work was awful so I didn't get home to cook what I'd intended on two nights.

Weigh in wasn't quite as bad as I'd anticipated - I lost a 1lb.

SW - too awful to type.
CW - 121.1 kg
GW - 73kg

I was swithering about whether to go up to 5mg but I'm going to have to or this isn't going to work for me. I"m seriously hoping the SEs on 5mg aren't too bad. The nausea in week 2 just about finished me off. I'm going to put through my pen order and then I can decide if I'm going to bonus dose for a week 5 of 2.5mg or just bash straight on into 5mg. Maybe week 4 will bring better suppression back with it.

BeaTwix · 02/04/2025 12:01

Oh and @taylorswift1989 I'm also in the "lots to lose" camp.
Except today it feels like that might only be a pipe dream.

FrozenFractal · 02/04/2025 12:12

For those thinking about their next pen, thought I’d share my experience with WePrescribe. My first pen was £86 (£40 off with intro offer). I am going up to 5mg for my second one. I’ve looked around for what would be the cheapest price after discount, and it was £104.99 with IQdoctor, took a screenshot and asked WePrescribe if they would price match. They did, and included delivery cost in that price. Easy and pretty good value I think.

Hi all

I would like to know if anyone is going to treat themselves to something when they hit a target or goal.

When I hit 2 stone loss, I am treating myself some new sunglasses and some Botox which I have had a few times before.

I am looking back over photos from the last 2 year or so and I am shocked how I have let myself go. I always took great pride in my appearance, wore well cut clothes that looked good, put make up on, did my hair but looking at the few photos in the last 2 years I can see that I was hiding behind leggings and sweatshirts, and generally not liking myself perhaps even hating myself. I have tried to diet in the last 2 years and nothing would happen (thanks HRT)

The last 5 weeks have been revolutionary for me, I am finally putting myself first and doing something for me, and it is bloody working. Sorry for the long post but you guys are the only people that I have told that I am doing MJ.

Defo well deserved thanks so much for this thread.

we go on holiday on 5th May hoping to be near the 2 stone mark off by then treat myself to some new holiday clothes.

i get how ur feeling since i had my little girl almost 4 years ago I let myself go too but since starting MJ I’ve started getting my hair brows and nails done again to look good.

KeepLookingUp · 02/04/2025 12:27

Hi all, I did my last injection with current 2.5mg pen last night and was worried as there seemed to be a bit left in the pen. I wondered had I injected too small a dose one week. But I did a bit of googling and found that Mounjaro tends to have a bit left over (now it makes sense that people are ordering syringes to get the last bit out).
Anyway. I have my 5mg pen ready in the fridge and going to start on that next week. Am a wee bit disappointed as only lost 5 lbs in 4 weeks, possibly I need the higher dose to boost suppression.
I do feel better and clothes seem to fit better, and I haven’t eaten any crisps or had any of the other mad cravings I used to which is a miracle 😊
SW 207 lbs (12 March)
CW 202.8 lbs (2April)

SharpOpalNewt · 02/04/2025 12:37

Is anyone feeling tired and achy on it? I felt great to start with but recently feel a bit knackered and rubbish. It could be that I've lost weight too quickly and my body is adjusting, or menopause, or stress - I'm not sleeping well so that would account for the tiredness. I have had 4 x 2.5g and 1 x 5mg.

Polyneucleodites are great for plumping/firming but they do not get rid of folds or wrinkles they are great for plumping.

Good luck with the under eye treatment, I have had them in my lower check chin area.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 02/04/2025 17:15

Rewards - I'm going to reward myself with something when I hit a 2 stone loss. The first stone has been ridiculously quick and easy!

I'm not sure what I'll reward myself with yet though tbh, I'll prob need a new pair of jeans but it'll be vinted for those given that I plan to lose several more stone!

That's insanely cheap! What is their discount code do you know? I need to order 5mg.

I thought suppression was disappearing fir me today then realised it's just that I've barely eaten anything. So I was hungry. I e just had a crap white bread sliced chicken sandwich and am full. Normally I'd have that, packet of crisps and loads of biscuits. And then dinner.

museumum · 02/04/2025 19:18

Tomorrow is my fourth jab, I need to decide what to order.
I am only losing 0.5kg per week, but I have bad heartburn and I’m not sure I should eat any less. I’m only 5’2 and eating only about 1 1/2 small meals a day. So I’m leaning towards another 2.5mg pen.
WWYD?

I'm not sure what to do either. I've ordered syringes for the "golden dose".

I think I might order 5mg, then have options to carry on with 2.5 or go up gradually .

I'm also thinking this. Have done 2 doses and got 2 to go (3 if golden dosing)

I'm happy on 2.5 as have no real side effects although I don't seem to have as much suppression this week as last week.

I'm thinking of ordering 5 then doing the click count to maybe do 3.75 or something.

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine take a look at https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/

You can sort prescribers per lowest price for the dose you need. On the far end you can see details of the discount. The March on for IQdoctor isn’t there anymore but plenty are cheaper or similar. I’d WePrescribe refused to price match, I would’ve just switched.

I think I'd stick at 2.5mg in your situation. It sounds like you aren't eating enough and more suppression wouldn't be great. You're losing weight even though it's slow so I wouldn't rush to 5mg.

Just my opinion, for whatever it's worth!

Ballbagisnotmyname · 02/04/2025 19:36

If anyone is microdosing and needs more needles I have loads going spare! I ordered a box without realising I had the needles included 🤦‍♀️ happy to post some out to any who need them😊

Hey folks, it's w4 d2 here and I've had mega suppression today. I jabbed in my thigh yesterday as opposed to stomach.
Weirdly, I had little to no suppression until today, unlike when I did the stomach jab and felt it in a couple of hours.

I really lost my mental calm this week, stressful shit happened and my anxiety went through the roof. So I guess MJ isn't a panacea! I comfort ate a bag of Haribo last night which I haven't wanted to touch since I started. But today, it disgusts me! I'm surprised I didn't vomit it up, but nothing happened. Very strange.

Beinthepresent · 03/04/2025 08:39
