Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

Hi, I'm afraid I've been so rubbish keeping up with the posts on here!

I've currently in week 4, and have just taken the plunge and ordered the 5 dose for next week, and wondering if I should have stuck at 2.5... I have lost 10lb in just over 3 weeks, but my appetite has been coming back at times and I've had times where I'm really tempted to raid the kitchen. I want to keep things going, so I've gone for the 5. Hopefully I won't regret it

@EchoNova
i have been using Happy scale for years (weight has been up and down over the years). It is great- I totally recommend

and @Sweetlikeblueberries That's good to hear about HappyScale I must get it. I like the idea of being able to see the trend.

I've done the opposite and gone for 2.5mg and worried that I will regret it in 2-3 weeks. Ah well, you can always take fewer clicks and I can just try to employ more willpower for a few weeks.

I went for the 5 for my second pen and took my first 5 on Thursday last week. I was doing ok on the 2.5 and have been losing, but just went with 5 to get it to the therapeutic dose. I'll stick here until it stops working.

I had no side effects at all on 2.5 and quite good suppression. My 5 jab last week did make me feel a bit sick-y on injection day though, but nothing too bad and it went by the evening (I inject first thing). Not anything I couldn't ignore, but just keep in mind when going up the strengths if you are affected. You can always count clicks and just inject 3/4 if needed (I managed the golden dose last week no bother with a diabetic needle/syringe I got off a medical website if you are worried about the pen locking).

Good luck.

I decided to stick with 2.5
to try and train myself to live with mild hunger.
the funny thing About Mounjaro is I don't want to eat but when I taste the food it's delicious! I had my first wine in 4.5 weeks (couldn't hear the thought of it) but I really enjoyed it once it was in hand!

Interesting. Will be good to compare notes over the next 4 week block (I’m W3D4 now)

BeFairAzureSeal · 13/04/2025 01:08

Have friends staying for the start of the Easter holidays, went out for pizza and ice cream last night- 8 of us. I shared a pizza with my youngest (half and half toppings- I had lots of veggies on my side) and I DIDN’T GET ICE CREAM. I did get a good few licks of the youngest’s to “stop it dripping” 😉 And I did feel a bit of a party pooper being the only one not indulging in a holiday treat but at the end of the day I’m prioritising me now. Before I definitely would’ve put away a whole pizza to myself and probably multiple scoops of ice cream in a chocolate dipped cone. I was satisfied with my pizza I had and found the decision fairly easy to not get an ice cream (I was a tiny bit tempted but was able to quiet it). Another full day out with family and friends today so will see how it goes, I’ll be taking a picnic and snacks like babybel lights. Will also be getting a lot of steps in.
