Just started.

Would be great to hear from others who are just starting.

First injection was was 28th July. No side effects so far. Appetite is decreasing but not as much as I've seen on other threads.

4 stone at least to lose.

I'm going to use this thread to give myself an online record.

I ordered MJ last night so hoping to start soon.

OlympicsFanGirl · 31/07/2024 18:20

Hi @Usernamechangeforthis12

Great to hear from you. I hope your delivery comes soon

Dose: 2.5 week 1

B: 200 cal protein shake
L: Roll with ham and lettuce
Snack: very small cup of homemade celery soup
D: small portion of homemade chicken curry and rice

Last week would have eaten double that or even more

I’m waiting for mine to be despatched. Hoping to start this Saturday. I have at least four stone to lose. Not sure what my end target will be because it is going to be based on when I feel happy rather than an exact weight. Good luck to the other newbies.

MissFancyDay · 31/07/2024 18:28

Iv'e been thinking about it for a while but I'm scared, mainly of the needle. I have been trying to lose weight for about forty years and it's getting to be now or never. I'm diligently reading all the information here though and am about to take the plunge. Haven't quite decided who to go with yet though, or whether to let anyone know in real life. Good luck everyone

Sarahlouise86 · 31/07/2024 18:32

Can I join please? The last thread I was on got hijacked by discount codes.

First injection on 26th July. About 2 and a half stone to lose

It's been a weird week! No side effects really apart from a dry mouth over the weekend. Major suppression until about Monday and then it's tapered off but it's definitely still having an effect as my meals are smaller and the fear of getting ill is keeping my meals very healthy.

So far so good!

honkifyalikebeans · 31/07/2024 18:39

@MissFancyDay - the needle is no bother at all, it's tiny and you don't even feel it go in (I was needle phobic most of my life)

WitchDancer · 31/07/2024 18:41

I've ordered mine today and too am reading everything here on this topic.

Moier · 31/07/2024 18:48

Good luck to you all.
I'm 65 and just had my second jab last night.
I've lost half a stone the first week.
( 4 to 5 stone to loose).
I do love salads and veg.. and eating more salads.
Usually l would have them with a big slice of quiche and loads of new potatoes.. but can't manage all that.
Just the salad and 2 small new potatoes is enough.. or one slice of chicken and salad.
Breakfast is now two scrambled eggs ( no toast) or one weetabix.. used to have two.
I'm eating feta / chicken/ fish/ eggs for protein.
Haven't had any chocolate ( I use to have a bar or two every night).
No cream buns/ sausage rolls etc.
No side effects.
Bought some peppermint oil capsules/ ginger capsules and collagen capsules.
Only taken collagen so far..
It really is a Godsend.
I am type 2 as well.
My diabetic nurse is ringing me next week.
I have paid for my mounjaro.

Panfriedscallops · 31/07/2024 18:57

Ordered mine last night. Hoping to lose at around four stone if not more.
Just crossing my fingers the side effects are minimal and it works.
Spent most of my adult life having to starve myself to lose weight. I need this to work, I'm pre diabetic and at 62 finding carry all this extra weight affecting my mobility for the first time.
This is a dream.
Good luck everyone

Quite a lot of us aiming for 4 stone.

I'm also interested to find out more about the 5th dose that people are talking about on other threads.

troppibambini6 · 31/07/2024 19:35

Hi I'm just starting too. I've taken wegovy before but kind of fell by the way side a bit.

I jabbed yesterday and have definitely felt a reduction in appetite and also not been able to eat as much.

I go on holiday on Monday for two weeks but I'm going to continue the best I can. I'm planning on lots of fish and salads.

troppibambini6 · 31/07/2024 19:35

I'd like to lose about 4 stone too.

WitchDancer · 31/07/2024 19:43

I've just started a thread about this very same thing! Please do jump on it as there's some great thoughts and tips on there

WitchDancer · 31/07/2024 19:44

I've got about 5.5 stones to loose by the way

GreyMoose44 · 31/07/2024 19:45

I have ordered mine yesterday. Hoping to loose two stones. Struggled with weight all my adult life. I am reading through posts on here so I prepared and know what to expect and get some tips what ro eat etc.
Good luck everybody x

trulybee · 31/07/2024 19:50

I have been approved from MedExpress and hoping to start Friday/Saturday as should arrive by then. Have 4 stone to lose. Managed to put most of this on due to undiagnosed thyroid issues. Have been medicated for 3 years and just cannot seem to shift.

trulybee · 31/07/2024 19:51

Whoops posted before finishing. Good luck everyone.

trulybee · 31/07/2024 19:52

PS- for the first month I am going to monitor my progress via non scale victories and measurements. I tend to get fixated on scales and need to just trust the process for a few weeks before I monitor by weight. I know it sounds strange but it is better for my mental health.

OlympicsFanGirl · 31/07/2024 20:11

@WitchDancer great thank you off to look

winstinsandgins · 31/07/2024 22:05

I'm considering this. Tell me all about it. I keep seeing it on threads but no idea about it.

Redlightbulb · 01/08/2024 09:55

Ordered from Med Express yesterday lunchtime and waiting for my prescription to be approved.
Really want to start before the weekend!
Hopefully it will be approved and dispatched today.
I lost a lot of weight prior to lockdown.. nearly got to a healthy BMI.
But piled it back on and now have 8 stone to lose.
Tried so many times to restart but with working from home now the food cravings take over. Hoping this drug will curb them.

Potterson13 · 01/08/2024 10:46

I've had my approval from Zava this morning! I'm at a wedding tomorrow so planning on starting on Saturday I think.

I had my second child in March 2022 and have just got heavier and heavier since I stopped feeding him. My problem is snacking and boredom/stress eating!

How are you feeling about starting? I'm excited but a bit nervous of the side effects!

AuntieDote · 01/08/2024 10:50

I just started a thread without seeing this one, so I'll join here if that's ok?

Also got 4 stone to lose.

Should receive my pen tomorrow, planning on starting on Tuesday as got a hectic few days until then and don't want to risk side effects, Tuesday onwards ia much calmer!
