Callmejudith · 30/06/2024 19:02

My heart rate is through the roof watching the football so a few more calories there 😀

GeorgiePorge · 30/06/2024 21:17

thanks for the new thread. Looking forward to July...hopefully by the end of it I will be that bit smaller!

Lovingeveryrainbow · 30/06/2024 21:18

Thanks for the new thread. Is anyone a thigh injector? This is the first week I've had a slightly runny tummy and wondered if injection site was contributing towards it

GoingforitJune24 · 30/06/2024 21:22

Well first 4 weeks nearly down and I've lost 18.5lb!

Only negative side effects have been metallic taste in my mouth a few days (chewing gum and sugar free mints helped) after each jab and the fatigue from week 2 onwards. I have noticed my menstrual cramps were much worse this month, no idea if this is connected!

I've been on 2.5ml the whole time and am starting on 3.5ml of my new 5ml jab tomorrow. I'm possibly going to stay there for the remainder of the month. I've noticed my willpower has been tested more so this last few weeks.

Wk1: 8.5lb
Wk2: 3.5lb
Wk3: 3lb
Wk4: 3.5lb

SW: 15s 6lb
CW: 14s 1.5lb
GW: 11s

I do my thigh too. I read it was less likely to have gastro side effects but I suspect it's different for everyone.

30not13 · 30/06/2024 21:56

Checking in, let's hope for a successful July 🤘

Fantastic loss! Well done.

I wasn't sure if the jab was making me extra tired at first but my goodness, I can barely wake up some mornings, especially a few days after the jab. Glad it isn't just me.

I’m super tired too. I fell asleep yesterday afternoon, which is unheard of.

SarahB88 · 30/06/2024 22:44

Thanks for setting up a new one!

fairydust11 · 30/06/2024 22:59

Thanks for the new thread!

SarahB88 · 01/07/2024 05:54

Up early with the baby so did my first weigh in and not lost as much as I was hoping for.

SW: 106.5kg
CW: 105.4kg
GW: 85kg (would be amazing to get to 80)

Will do my second jab soon. I think this week will be more successful as my partner is going to fully commit to the healthy eating side too and has got our meals planned out for the week. 3 more weeks on 2.5 so will see how things go but thinking I might need the 5 to really see a difference.

Callmejudith · 01/07/2024 07:14

@SarahB88 over a kilo is good!

Another weekend for me of zero snacking - it’s a miracle!

I have two bbqs this week and then our annual street party on Saturday. I can drive for the bbqs and the street party I’ll think about nearer the time.

I wore a top yesterday that I haven’t worn for a year - it was finally not straining against my belly

Callmejudith · 01/07/2024 10:13

I have a wedding at the end of month, I have a dress which I love which I have never been able to wear out of the house - tried it on this morning and it zips up! It's a bit tight over the tummy and boobs but I would be utterly delighted if I could lose enough to wear it comfortably at the wedding

mandarindreams · 01/07/2024 10:24

Back from 5 days with family and up 0.5kg - annoying but not unexpected. The supression definitely hasn't been as strong with my second jab and that coupled with zero control over the food available to me was always likely to cause a bit of a backslide. I'm also three days out from my period so pretty bloated to boot. Back on the clean eating train and third dose due tomorrow so hopefully the scales will start moving downwards again in short order.

I did stomach on Week 1 and thigh on Week 2 - I found the thigh caused less side effects but also less suppresion (but maybe that's just me getting used to the medicine). Going back to stomach tomorrow for my third so we'll see if it makes a difference.

Callmejudith · 01/07/2024 10:57

@mandarindreams .5kg is good considering!

@Sewfrickinamazeballs I just realised the thread title - very clever ;)

thesugarbumfairy · 01/07/2024 11:20

So I took my 5th dose from my 1st pen last night.

Was hoping to get 3.75mg dose out of it, but only managed to draw out 0.7ml using a diabetic syringe, which equates to just under a 3mg dose. That will do though. The needle on the syringe is slightly longer than the ones for the pen, but not an issue as its just like the ones I used when I had to take blood thinners for a month. Still can't feel it.

I do think that even though the pens are expensive, I am not spending a huge amount more than normal, because I'm not frittering money away on snacks, meal deals etc, plus I'm not suggesting family trips to fast food places at the weekend because I personally don't fancy it. I did take eldest to Kaspas at the weekend as his brother was away (at his request) and couldn't face anything on the dessert menu (I mean, its ALL dessert menu) so I had a caramel frappe and then felt sick all day 😂

I think I will move to 3.75mg next week rather than 5mg because the suppression was working ok on 2.5 but gone by the weekend.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 01/07/2024 12:12

Thanks so much for the new thread @Sewfrickinamazeballs
@GoingforitJune24 sorry to hear that you have the metallic taste but I am relieved to hear it’s not just me 😂In a way it’s a good thing as it makes me drink more water to try and get rid of it but also bad as I spend a lot of time thinking what I can eat to stop it which just = mad food noise! I can’t go down the gum route as peppermint makes me nauseous ever since the birth of my third (who is now 23!). Toothpaste is a real struggle 🤦‍♀️

@thesugarbumfairy this is my plan too so would love to hear how you get on please!

Lynsey14 · 01/07/2024 12:45

Oh my word the metallic mouth taste is doing my head in 😅

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 01/07/2024 12:45

Does anyone need a ZAVA code for 15% off their next dose? I have one to share; REFP6RVR
