That’s brillant @IReallyNeedThisToWork and all the other losses.
I decided to leave a 10d gap before starting 6th jab as was having some odd symptoms. I managed to carry on eating as I had been but didn’t lose anything! So I restarted last night sticking at 2.5mg counting clicks on my new 5mg pen. I think dose 5 was my bonus dose and I got 3.3mg which was too much for me so I’ll stick at 2.5mg if I’m losing., No one has noticed here either but I’ve felt so much more confident in myself even said yes to a work overnight trip & big in person meeting of the kind I’ve been avoiding for a while. Hopefully I’ll cope with it.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 26/07/2024 06:54

@Summerheels thanks and sorry to hear you are having odd symptoms😔 I managed to give myself 4.6 as my bonus dose despite aiming for 3.75 and was terrified but it turned out to be a good week and I am now on day 2 of full 5 and yesterday was brilliant! Goes to show how differently MJ affects people.

Good luck with your 2.5 this week🙂

Lynsey14 · 26/07/2024 07:43

Hey everyone, work has been crazy so haven’t posted in the last few weeks but the weight loss keeps coming!
weigh in this morning:
SW: 13st 3.5
WI: 12st 0.75
GW: 10st 6

My boss commented at work this week like “have you lost some weight? Your face is looking slimmer” - and he’s a guy that notices nothing so that was pretty good to hear - although it does mirror my frustration that I feel like all the weight has come off my face and shoulders when I’d really like it to come off my tum and thighs! 😅

JomonotFomo · 26/07/2024 07:56

Weekly weigh in:

SW - 15st12
wk1: -10
wk2: -4
wk3: -3
wk4: -1
wk5: -5
wk6: -2
wk7: stayed the same
wk8: -5
total loss: 30lb
CW: 13st10

I am planning to stay on 5mg again this month as I don’t think I can cope any higher.

I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks and whilst I don’t want to stop taking, I am worried about how I will manage symptoms whilst I’m away.

Tirzepatide · 26/07/2024 08:46

I was surprised she noticed! Rounding numbers here but last time I lost a significant amount of weight the earliest someone noticed was after a 2st loss (and my starting weight this time was 1st heavier, so I am just back down to that starting weight now). I had an explosion of people noticing after 4.5 st loss (a big part of that was I went on a 1 week holiday and came back in new clothes that properly fitted me, shirts tucked in etc). Some people thought I had somehow done it overnight (it took 9 months). I'm expecting it to be similar this time. Apart from this time I will lose the last bit and get to my actual goal weight and keep it off...

Ineffable23 · 26/07/2024 09:04

My weight loss has been slower the last week or so, but I was away with work and had friends round for dinner, and a barbeque and a day out. So probably should be pleased with losing a pound in a week like that, really!

I went up to only 3mg as I'd like to keep my doses as low as I can.

I've lost 15lb in 6 weeks, which is pretty great tbh, especially as those 6 weeks contained 2 weeks holiday, a hen do, and being away with work as well as having various friends over for dinner. It's a funny one because the early losses were so speedy that it feels slow now in comparison but I have to distance myself from that. The weight loss is massively noticeable in my face in a good way, though I think I am showing a few more wrinkles!

I've lost a total of 32lb since I started trying to lose weight last June. 17lb now to get to a healthy weight. Still feels a long way away but previously I had set myself a goal of getting to my current weight so the idea that getting to a healthy weight is possible is a massive boon.

Even if I lose only a pound a week, I should still be down to 11 stone 3 (which would be a BMI of 27.0) by the first week of September.

How are others managing work based trips away? I usually book a self catering place if I go away on holiday which gives me a lot more flexibility to manage what I eat, but if I am away with work I have to stay in a hotel and I find the hotel breakfast/meal deal lunch/dinner out quite hard to manage.

Greyrockin · 26/07/2024 12:29

Weigh in day for me after 4 weeks on MJ and I'm losing just over 2 lbs per week, which is good progress considering that I'm still eating carbs and treats and have experienced hunger and food noise on 2.5mg:

Starting weight - 184.5 lb
week 2 - 181.8 lb
week 3 - 178.6 lb
week 4 - 175 lb

Total loss in first 4 weeks 9.5 lbs and average calories 1,284 a day. I may well have lost that just by calorie counting, but it wouldn't have happened as I wasn't in the mindset to 'diet'. MJ has really helped me to reduce my food intake 😊

I took the bonus dose last night using the hard twist method so not quite sure how much was left in the pen, but I feel okay today.

Greyrockin · 26/07/2024 12:38

If anyone is interested I renewed my subscription with Hava today and got 3-months free access. It's from the Diet Doctor team. The new site is still a bit of a work in progress, but they have some good clean recipes and the approach is more about satiety than low-carbing (but still lots of low carb recipes). I think it's similar to the Zoe approach but obviously not tailored individually. They are offering 90 days free as standard I think.

Edit - the link below was automatically generated by MN, it's the Hava link I wanted to promote.

Wow excellent victories this week. Absolutely love reading them all. Ive lost 2lbs this week which I'm so happy about. Has anyone got an extra dose from their 5mg pen?

SW 15st 6
CW 13st 11
TL 23lbs in 8 weeks.

So so happy. Hoping for another cheeky 2lbs next week if I can get an extra dose out of the pen as I don't get paid until weds and I should be dosing tomorrow morning 😭

There have been a couple of posters complaining about promo codes being either advertising or annoying in site stuff and all the post have been getting reported so it was only a matter of time. Personally I don't have any issue, it is a new product, this is the forum where everyone is interested and will be talking about their providers promo code or not, just scroll past them unless I need one.

It just moves the non-problem to another board.......Promo codes board today....and instead of giving their promo code they will give a link to their thread in Promo codes instead.

Oh how annoying re codes, I doubt people would think to look there, I wouldn’t have!

That’s a great loss!!! I started last week at same SW as you. 5lb loss so happy with that. If I can lose 23lbs in 8 weeks I’ll be well chuffed!

Newme24 · 26/07/2024 20:37

@Somersetmumma28 thank you so much. Ahh I love when I find someone who's starting weight is the same. It's honestly been life changing over these 8 weeks. I just don't consume half as much crap and it doesn't consume my every waking moment. I'm not thinking where or when I can eat next. It's amazing. I think what's helped me personally is snacking on protein. I have the teeniest amount of carbs with my dinner. Maybe a few chips, or half a jacket potato or a small amount of rice or pasta where as before I'd fill the plate. I also never finish my whole plate and I drink a lot of water as I find it helps me feel full along with all the extra protein. I basically snack on cooked chicken and pepperamis and babybel. The odd protein bagel if I'm taking a lunch somewhere but then won't eat carbs with dinner.

You've totally got this. This is the tool that makes everything you know already much easier to do.

Goodluck. 5lbs is a fantastic loss by the way!

Summerheels · 27/07/2024 07:25

Some fab losses and it’s great seeing how everyone is getting on. I’ve still not told anyone I’m using MJ but then no one has commented yet on my weight loss despite my teenage who helped me buy a new pair of jeans said I was “looking good mum”. I’ve lost 16lbs in 6weeks which is average 2.6lbs per week. Plus a dress size down and bmi is now 28.9.. I’ve got covid now so it will be interesting to see what happens as previously I’ve always gained 4-5lbs with covid and not been able to lose it. So I’m hoping for a stall as a min!

Snozzlemaid · 27/07/2024 07:58

Back from a few days away, where I didn't snack but meals out sometimes made it difficult to make healthy choices, I've weighed this morning and I've stayed the same, so pleased with that.
I've been this weight for 2 weeks, so now home I'm ready to tackle this, eat healthily and hopefully see some loss again.
4th dose of 5mg taken whilst away.
SW 18st 6lb
CW 16st 10lb.

daffodilandtulip · 27/07/2024 08:06

Jab 3 of 5mg today, 2lb lost this week, which I was worrying about as I indulged a bit at my birthday last week and lots of food based activities during my week off this week 🙈

15th June SW 13st 7lb, BMI 36.9
CW 12st 6lb, BMI 34.0.

So 1st 1lb lost in six weeks ... and I've started to put clothes away forever!

Callmejudith · 27/07/2024 08:22

Huge Irish weddings and MJ do not mix! I feel gross to admit this but I had to make myself sick after dinner, even though I was nowhere near finishing all the food there was so much of it - and combined with Prosecco for the toasts it was bleurgh!

I did however dance for hours and was drinking pints and pints of water. Great day apart from that blip

oh and I wore a size 14 dress that fitted really really well

Summerheels · 27/07/2024 08:22

Arrh @daffodilandtulip you must be a shortie like me with a bmi of 34 at 12.6 It’s really hard when your short as the BMR is so low trying to lose weight without MJ was just miserable trying to exist on 1000c. But my healthy BMI is 8st7 which I would just look ill at and have not been since I was a young teenager! If I get to 10st or under I’ll be happy even if my bmi still has me as overweight!

Summerheels · 27/07/2024 08:24

Glad you enjoyed the dancing @Callmejudith even if being sick was horrid. Reminds me of student days being sick then carrying on drinking 🫣only did that once never again.

I am indeed! Totally agree for the BMI. I'm aiming for 10st to 10 and a half. But it's so hard to lose anything if you eat more than 1000 cals, which is quite frankly impossible without Mounjaro. I've got perimenopause added in for extra fun 😭

Summerheels · 27/07/2024 08:27

Yep ditto I’m early 50s nothing was shifting the extra 5” of belly fat I’ve gained in last 4years of peri-menopause but MJ has melted it off!

Summerheels · 27/07/2024 08:28

Plus big reduction in joint pain & brain fog it’s been brilliant
