Anyone - when you extract the bonus dose with an insulin needle, do you use the same needle to inject it in you? Or is the needle blunted from going through the stopper?

Eating like a slim person is so true. A friend of mine who is slim but strong (my ideal) maintains what I always thought of as a super controlled diet but in fact she is just eating when she has to and nothing more. Thats exactly how I feel now on MJ.

For lunch I had a couple of small samosas, broccoli, cauliflower and squash and I was completely done. I’m finding now I’m also serving myself a lot less than before portion wise. No desire for a fizzy drink or cake. We have a bbq with friends tonight and I’m planning to eat what I fancy but will be interesting to see how I feel.

Obviously you can buy cyclizine but it's expensive. About £35 for 100. And the hassle of filling in the online forms.

5mg just arrived (injection day Thursday)....why am I so nervous again?!

Mine hasn't been dispatched yet. They say I'll get it on Thursday.

I'm really looking forward to starting it.

I have a bit of the munchies tonight.
I seem to go about 3-4 days of feeling sick then 3 days of wanting to munch and a bit of food noise.
I definitely stay fuller longer though.

I'm due to come on tomorrow and I'm much hungrier than normal and as usual, a humongous spot has shown up😭

I haven't wanted anything today at all. It's a very strange feeling. I've just spent half an hour trying to finish a smoothie.

I went out for a walk and noticed I felt much healthier than I do normally though.

Where are people buying protein powder from? What to look for?

Anyone else feeling cold? I notice it at night particularly. It's by no means chilly in my bedroom but I'm bundling up under the duvet feeling like it's November!

I took dose 2 on Friday. Some diarrhoea but nothing particularly unpleasant and no other side effects so far. Apart from drinking a pint and feeling super nauseous afterwards, lol.

Ordered my second pen from Zava and it arrived today was really quick. I’ve gone for 5mg but bought some extra needles so will count clicks to try the mid-way dose I think. Have felt really tired yesterday and today it could be my busy weekend or the meds it’s hard to tell but I had to have a lie down earlier luckily was working from home so took 10mins as my break. I weigh most mornings and was down another 1lb if I can get another off I’ll break into the 11st mark for the first time in 5years.

I did my first dose of 5mg on Sunday evening and it's been awful. I had no side effects on 2.5mg, so it's taken me by surprise. I was sick yesterday morning, and feel nauseous, cold and achey. Weirdly anytime I think about the injection or think of the smell of the alcohol wipes I use is enough to make me start retching. It's awful.

All I ate yesterday was 2 slices of toast, and today all I have eaten is 1 slice of toast. I'm just patiently waiting it out, but I have decided to come off the injection completely as it's not worth it to me. I think 4 weeks has been a good reset and has helped me see what normal portion sizes are.

Oh no if it’s any reassurance it should be better after a day or two it’s just the increase in dose

I took my second 5mg lastnight and yes I’ve been a bit off today and needed a man nap after work but it’s easing now

I have bought some from Amazon and some from B&M bargains.
I looked for a diet powder (some are high calorie for body builders bulking up) with a high protein content per portion then compared the cost per portion.

I find it supresses my appetite even more and obviously means that it is easy to hit daily protein targets.

Ahh see this is what was confusing me! I’ve only ever known it as a body building thing. Thank you!

I have eaten crisps for the first time since the second of June. I actually want more. The food noise is back tonight.

So I have had 4 days of feeling nauseous and today the hunger is back a bit.

I am going to have to meal plan as hadn't been with feeling so sick moving up to 5mg. I wasn't hungry for crisps I just wanted them and now I keep thinking about them.

@daffodilandtulip i get protein powder from Bulk. I get the pure whey protein and love either strawberry or choc mint flavours. Both are lovely with frozen banana and coconut milk.

BBQ tonight was lovely. I had a very very weak g&t and then drank cordial and sparkling water. Lots of nibbles but I had zero crisps, some cheese and biscuits, chicken and salad and then a bit of chocolate torte. Home and I am so so so bloated and uncomfortable

@hoarahloux Yes! I am getting the chills too. Definitely jab related rather than due to the crappy weather as I was feeing a bit chilly even on warm days.

For anyone who doesn’t fancy a protein shake, Aldi do protein fortified yoghurts that have 20g in them. You can get it as a drink, a pouch, a yoghurt and sometimes they have a mousse. I tend to have a drink and a yoghurt in a day so it’s covering off a good bit of protein.
