Anyone starting wegovy this week?

would love to hear from others starting out.. I’m nervous!

@Toooldforthis36 I done first injection last night. Didn’t hurt ☺️ I got to my wits end too..

I’m a week in, second dose last night. Lost 2lb. I found Monday and Tuesday I was really hungry!

I started on Sunday!

@Whatcolou that’s good! Did you change what you ate at all? I’m confused to how it works. I don’t feel hungry today, I’m usually a ravenous beast that eats every couple of hours lol

i stopping thinking about food, suddenly it’d be 11am and I won’t have eaten, so I’d have a bit of fruit /cereal then it’d be 5pm and I’d skipped lunch. I’ve just tried to make sure I eat variety but I can’t eat the same portion sizes.

I've had no appetite at all since I started. Am forcing myself to eat 3 meals a day but smaller portions. Focussing on high protein. Main issue is constipation for me, no other side effects as yet.

I'm having Greek yogurt/berries/chia seeds for breakfast, a high protein ready meal (350 calories) for lunch and normal dinner. Trying to drink loads of fluid.

Anyone find a change to just thinking about food all the time?

I struggle with just knowing if there’s food around I can have (eg if I am going anywhere in car on my own it’s an opportunity to do some snacking/if there’s Xmas goodies leftover I can’t settle if I know they’re around)

just want to be free of it occupying my head all the time 😓

@Toooldforthis36 yes - this is what I experienced when I started ozempic (which I think is more or less the same thing). It was a revelation

@WeeWeeGoGo how do you feel? I haven’t felt nauseous but the feeling could be likened to it. Like a cold feeling in my stomach sometimes. It’s really weird when I feel my stomach begin to rumble it doesn’t? So like the full hunger pang doesn’t happen as such..

i started wegovy about 4 months ago and i am now on the top dose. i have lost a total of 2 stone in this time. initally i simply was not hungry... now i tend to suffer mainly with heartburn, chronic constipation and the odd headache. i've pretty much 'winged' it for the past few months, but this week i have started to count calories. i think i'd started to not eat enough which was in fact hampering my weight loss

I've been nauseous, exhausted, headache, dizzy, constipated 😩
Unsure whether to carry on or not, definitely couldn't deal with this permanently 😬
Hoping I'm over the worst of it and tomorrow will be better.

I started 8 weeks ago and have lost 1st. I’ve just gone up to the 1mg dose, love feeling less dominated by food thoughts.
I’m hoping to stay on the 1mg dose for around three months. I have another 3 st to lose.

I'm in my 2nd week .. I've lost my appetite in the morning and not bothered about snacking which is my downfall.. if I don't have something to eat in the evening I get really bad heartburn but not suffered any other side affects I've lost a couple of pounds so far 👍

I've recently started it, took my second 0.25 dose yesterday. Tbh I haven't felt much difference so far. I did feel a bit nauseous bending down one day but that's the only side effects I've really noticed so far. I still feel like I'm eating normally, no dramatic loss of appetite for me yet! I have lost 1.5lb but that may be just normal fluctuation after Christmas. So difficult to tell but I'm sticking with it and hoping when I up the dose it will make more of a difference. I was pleased that the injections aren't painful 😄

I have started last week and lost 7 pounds. Second injection last night. No side effects yet

Waiting (im)patiently for Boots to come back with approval, filled out all the online consulation yesterday, just want to get started now 🤞

@Ralphinesonvoice @LastCall24 glad it’s going well for you. So far I’m just finding it really weird that when it gets to lunch time the only way I think about food is when people mention lunch. It’s so odd like my stomach forgets I’m hungry but my brain kind of notices 😂

Do you mind me asking where you got it from? Everyone seems to be out of stock except boots but their prices are sooo high?

DS is a year old now. Just can’t seem to shift the weight of my own :(

I am on Mounjaro and it is a miracle drug for me. No side effects and I don't obsess with food!
Been on it for 3 months and lost 16kg.
Not sure if they have Mounjaro in UK... I think it is also referred to as Zepbound.

It works 3 ways - appetite suppression, slows down your digestion and stops you thinking about food. Wegovy (Ozempic) only works on 2.

Can I ask what is the third way of working that mounjaro has?

Doesn’t look like anyone in the UK has stock of the mounjaro as it’s listed on websites but always out of stock.

I did my 3rd .25 yesterday and was starving all day. I ate way too much but hoping it's just a blip.

I've found it really good until then. I wonder if I'm getting more used to it now and will have to be patient while I level the dose up.
