I've lost 5kg since starting a week before Christmas, so almost a stone in a month. I wasn't overweight to begin with, just had final stone of baby weight to go, so nearly where I want to be. Best part is it's stopped me wanting alcohol; I feel fantastic.

Same as you, my alcohol cravings have disappeared! From half a bottle of gin a night to nothing.

I did something really stupid with my first .25 dose. I don’t think it worked so I did it again. I suppose I will feel the effects. Now in a panic.

Someone else did this and they were pretty sick but okay after a few days.
Maybe you'll be okay.

Ive not been hungry at all the past couple of days. I'm due to inject my 4th .25 today but I'm going to put it off until tomorrow, if I can stretch to 8/9 days it'll be better for me financially.

Toooldforthis36 · 20/01/2024 07:53

I’m weighing every day (I know 😫) and just had a BIG drop - slightly disbelieving - and it was after a strong coffee and a big old poo 😂😂

but even so, a nice surprise…

Joining the party. 1.5 weeks in and down 8 lbs. Constipated but no other issues.

I thought the weight loss would be the best part but not mindlessly downing half a bottle of wine because it's there has been life changing.

I can't believe how it just never occurs to me to get up and get a glass of wine or vodka! My liver will be cheering!

Nootkah · 21/01/2024 13:18

@roarrfeckingroar if you werent overweight ti begin with, how did you get it? Its only supposed to be for obese or bmi27+ with comorbidities?

Herewegovy1 · 21/01/2024 16:22

I wonder this too. An awful lot of people seem to only need to lose half a stone or not be overweight at all. It’s really not made for that.

@Paperclipp it does for me. Mostly. If you do emotionally eat there seems to be a very hard limit on what you CAN eat. Sweet things give me cramps and nausea. Tortilla chips are fine but I can only eat a small ramekin of them and I am full. I can’t eat a whole slice of toast.
And on top of that your intake will be massively reduced at mealtimes, so even if you do some emotional eating, it won’t have as much impact.

Definitely does for me. I can't even consider eating chocolate or sweets, for some reason I just don't fancy them at all.

My Christmas chocolate is still sitting in the drawer.

hey all, I must be the only person ever to still manage to over eat still 😂 I’m nearly 2 weeks in and my cravings are returning?? I’m soo pissed off. I feel like 0.25 maybe is a bit weak for me..

@BlueMumma2018 oh no 😫 I’ve been using the WW app for GLP-1 medication users and it’s been useful, basically 0.8g protein per 1kg of starting weight/4 portions fruit & veg/8 glasses water per day.

by the time I’ve got that protein target hit I’m pretty stuffed, might be worth a go? Could do this DIY for free on My fitness pal, no problem 👍

good luck, you’ll most likely see a big change when you up the dose on next pen 🤞

Some people don't feel any effects till on 2.4 - keep going!

Nicebloomers · 24/01/2024 07:06

First week-4.5lbs!

very happy with that. Also a little bit constipated so need to address that. I was definitely more hungry yesterday and I’ve woken up hungry today (dose will be this afternoon). It would be nice to lose this much every week but I think that might be a bit unrealistic 😀

Pushkinini · 24/01/2024 07:17

I'm in the middle of my 3rd dose of 0.25. 2.5lbs lost in 2.5 weeks. Pretty slow but in the right direction.

My bowels are a bit slower than usual, I'm usually a once a day person but I'm every other day now. The one side effect I'm struggling with is a really nasty taste in my mouth. I drink lots of water, like 3l a day, which isn't helping so I'm not sure what else to try.

Toooldforthis36 · 24/01/2024 08:30

-7.5lbs in week 1, happy with that!

but GOD I FELT HUNGRY on day 7 and was thinking about food all day - definitely ready for the next dose which I did last night..

I think it’s the dialling down of food chatter in brain that was noticeable…and noticeable when it came back 😳

not constipated as such but activity decreased in that direction, something to watch!!

Nicebloomers · 24/01/2024 08:38

I think we had the same experiences@Toooldforthis36 😃which is actually really good to know. I can’t wait until I’m not hungry again!

@Pushkinini the weird taste sounds really annoying. I did read that it’s a common side effect to get a metallic taste. No advice but I hope there’s something you can do to combat it ☝

Toooldforthis36 · 24/01/2024 08:59

@Nicebloomers yes it’s v reassuring to know others are feeling similar - well done on a great start 👍👍👍

And hunger eased off this morning after last nights 💉😂👍

BlueMumma2018 · 24/01/2024 10:46

Hi all! So in 2 weeks I’ve lost 5.2 pounds. I spoke with the pharmacist as I have honestly been craving and hungry this week (week 2) so I’m going up to 0.5 today as my 3rd injection. I think some people acclimatise to it quicker. Happy with that though, I felt a little deflated only losing a pound this week but in hindsight I have never had a week where I’ve eaten a full roast dinner and lost a pound so something is happening 😬

Nicebloomers · 24/01/2024 11:03

I do feel like I’ve lost a lot of water weight this first week. Possibly due to where I am in my cycle. I was peeing a lot but then I was also trying to drink a lot so who knows. I think my next weeks results will be more indicative of what I can expect going forward.

I suppose I should start to think about a plan to do some exercise. Not a fan of aerobics type things anyway so I’ll dig out my hand weights from the back of the wardrobe I think 😬

Toooldforthis36 · 24/01/2024 11:35

@BlueMumma2018 that sounds like a good plan, interested to hear how you get on with the step up x

BlueMumma2018 · 26/01/2024 08:36

@Toooldforthis36 definitely a lot better! A total of 7 pounds down in 2 weeks and 2 days..

Toooldforthis36 · 26/01/2024 08:45

Oh that’s really good news @BlueMumma2018 - onwards and upwards (or downwards 😜)

I’m getting a sense week 2 hasn’t been quite as dramatic on the lack of appetite front, so I’ll be ready for a change of dose when I’ve done the first pen for sure 👍
