We are a few weeks away from the start of meteorological summer (1st June) so here are some early thoughts from Netweather

It is a bit breezy and has been for a few days here.

There are weather warnings issued for tomorrow and this storm has been named ~ Storm Lilian.

Walked round the Great Orme today - was blowing a hooley, but sunny and dry, so actually a great walking day! I even went in the sea (in a calm bit behind a breakwater) - result!

So meteorologically, today is the last day of summer () and we move into autumn tomorrow. But we have warm/very warm weather with us (especially for the midlands/south/SE) over the weekend. There is the chance of thundery showers/storms breaking out though overnight and tomorrow.

Weekend weather from Netweather and the metoffice.

Sitting in my garden in glorious sunshine which is frustrating as last week walking in N Wales we had Storm Lilian… we did have some sunny days (around the Great Orme) but the last day in particular on Anglesey was very cold and wet and windy…

Metoffice weather warning issued for tomorrow.

It was quite chilly here (Leicester) this morning but we had some sun and it's warmed up a bit but has gone overcast now.

Beautiful day in Edinburgh after getting down to 6c overnight. Friends further north had frost on their greenhouse 😂

I hope you had a good holiday there's been a heat haze over Conwy estuary today.

It's been a scorcher here today sitting in the garden. I'm lying on the sofa, the back door, conservatory, doors are open still. It's going to be a hot night.

We did have a good few days, Conwy was one of our favourite bits, we stayed for a few days and day-packed the coast. It’s a lovely town isn’t it. I had a dip in the sea near Daganwy, lovely beach.
