We’ve just got home after 30 mins stationary on the A11 just past Cambridge due to a tree brought down by lightning. It’s still bad in the area now

More storms coming in overnight in the SE, the Met Office warning is still valid.

Following last nights windy storms, later today could be quite lively from a thunderstorm aspect with gusty winds, hail and lightning all possible in the south.

As ever, thunderstorms. are difficult to predict and even more difficult to pin down to any one location.

We had some very ominous black/green clouds and a bit of thunder earlier in North Hampshire!

We had thunder & lightning for about 20mins this afternoon around 2.30pm - just in time for school pickup

I am further west than normal, there is a lot of intermittent but very heavy rain showers coming in off the Atlantic in County Clare, and the almost full westerly wind (usually there's more south in it here) is howling around the house.

And we're on a yellow warning all day tomorrow.
