I'm sorry for starting this when we still have 200 posts to go, but I really should sleep and I'm worried that the previous thread will fill up. Here it is --> www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weather/4481220-Storm-Eunice please fill it, before using this one.

Just had a warning post on local FB (Reading)- a small dog has been badly injured by being picked up and flung aside by the wind Sad

Cheekypeach · 18/02/2022 13:58

South Devon. Bright & blue sky but very strong winds still.

Oh god, poor thing. Really hope that it will be OK

Seemed to be dying down here (wilts) but the gusts have started to just pick up again.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 18/02/2022 14:02

Just saw my twat neighbours shitty lean-to fold up and collapse. Roof went flying somewhere, hopefully into his equally shitty illegal warehouse (outside office) in his garden.

In West Midlands. I've got to go out for an X-ray later. Can't postpone as its quite vital.

Vebrithien · 18/02/2022 14:05

Bath here, we've lost part of our front fence. 3 doors along trampoline took off, took out an entire fence panel and then smashed the windows of the car 2 doors along.

Lots of smaller trees down, flickering lights at times. Chimney pots and covers in the road.

BestIsWest · 18/02/2022 14:05

Still very strong here in South Wales. We are back to Amber now but a friend has just seen his trampoline rip it’s ropes and fly ten feet.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 18/02/2022 14:07

It's reached us now in Derbyshire, very windy but nothing too scary. I'm leaving soon to do the school run.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 18/02/2022 14:07

Haven't seen any trees or fences down but a few bins have gone over.

Piggywaspushed · 18/02/2022 14:08

Edge of red zone here, north of Luton. Blowy.

youhadmeatjello · 18/02/2022 14:08

We are in Essex. Thought it had largely missed us but it’s ramping up again now - it’s so noisy!

Dodie66 · 18/02/2022 14:11

North Hampshire here. An archway covered in clematis in the garden has blown down, branches off the trees out the front of the house and a horses stable in the field near our house has blown over the fence into the lane. Still quite windy here

Do we know when it’s supposed to die down? I’m SE London, supposed to be driving up to Birmingham ASAP (it’s something I can’t really avoid). It should be okay to drive in a few hours right?!
-keeps everything crossed-

@ImprobablePuffin yikes!
Garden office with electricity and foundations? Were you in it?!

LIZS · 18/02/2022 14:18

Lost another fence panel ( lost 2 before Christmas) and next one looking wobbly.

I would wait until the amber warning is over at 9pm.

Starting to get power blips now here. So I might vanish.

West Midlands here. Came home to find my poly tunnel cover has gone even though we secured it. Very gusty here.

MarshaBradyo · 18/02/2022 14:21
@MarshaBradyo is that wind speed? Have a look at the estimates for gusts.
Ok yes that could be the difference

Quite blowy now here SE London

Tanith · 18/02/2022 14:23

We have acquired a cherry tree! I've always wanted one, next door's looks so lovely when it's in flower.

Oh. It is next door's cherry tree Sad Looks like we'll need to fix the fence, too Sad Sad

Grin it's a gift from God, obviously you should keep it. In recompense for the fence Wink

I am joking, before anyone jumps on me.

I have visions of assorted garden paraphernalia switching gardens like the tea party in Alice in Wonderland. Change places!

Xiaoxiong · 18/02/2022 14:26

Just went for a walk to check on the car, absolutely gorgeous out and if it weren't for the occasional insane gusts and the roaring sound in the sky like a military jet is flying over, it would be just a normal winter windy day in coastal Cornwall! There is a French fishing boat right in the bay, I guess they're here sheltering from the wind.

Neome · 18/02/2022 14:30

Appears to be hail starting in Falmouth. Small area of front wall (Cornish hedge) down.

Sowhatifiam · 18/02/2022 14:32

North West coast - we are ramping up. Tiles flying off the roof. So glad I moved the car - lost the windscreen with storm Arwen.
