The more I read the more I think Meghan won’t last 3 months back in the U.K.

But she'll be in the bosom of the 'family she never had'! Hmm Grin

LaMarschallin · Today 18:19

If anyone has a share token, there's a very funny "The Royal Family's WhatsApp Group" spoof by Hugo Rifkind in the main paper.

IAmATorturedPoet · Today 18:19

Thank you @Lunde

There's manifestation and then there is desperation.

Are journalists paid by the click these days? That's the only reason I can think of for indulging these two by putting such drivel to print.

This has really got my gander up today!!

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · Today 18:23

As the last few days have played out, I am feeling more and more that until those two unspeakable halfwits are actually proven to be in the UK then I don’t believe that they will do it. I do wonder how much of this uproar has been engineered to detract from the real story, which is that Harry is in the hole for millions.

ETA And it’s all his own fault.

Harry’s return might force the Waleses to work harder for the King

I'm told that they are in the smaller and "fringe" publications, @IAmATorturedPoet, but what people used to think of as proper journalists still receive a salary

However even the second group have performance reviews, and bonuses and the like can indeed be tied to clicks, so it comes into things for most of them in the end

W doesn't work for the king.

And if the king tells him to do more because H is back, I think W will tell him to go do one. W has a lot of power, a lot of money, and is his own man. KC3 will know by now to respect him.

Edit to change 'them' to 'him'.

I think before anyone casts aspersions about what work William does, they should spend a moment or two contemplating what Harry actually does. I’m not sure ‘getting stoned and playing computer games all day’ is all that noble a profession, really.

Lifestooshort71 · Today 18:58

A couple of wet November Sundays, when you need lights on all day and you've got 2 bored children used to running outside barefoot....nah, she'll love being back ☔️

I hope it is clear, I am just sharing tokens from The Times as I have a subscription. I often post before reading.

Oh that's interesting Puzzled, thank you.
That explains why some journalists would be keen to be part of the 'H&M select journo' WhatsApp group.
Whether there is any truth in the scraps of info they are given to print is clearly neither here nor there. 💰

I wonder what the admission criteria is.

Be fair, now. He does like to stroll around West London ringing random doorbells.
Plus; I have seen him juggle through the window as Meghan sits at her desk.
Also....er, no I think that's it.

That's a useful reminder @bluegreygreen. The one difficulty is that I'd see it as hard to invite them to the church walk and not then to Christmas itself at Sandringham. And I am guessing that if they are invited for Christmas then the Waleses won't go.

I think it would be very easy to tell them they aren't doing the church walk.

Simply say that they've been very keen to keep the privacy of their children, and KC doesn't want to see that change as he knows how important it is to them, so he's arranged a car to go the back way with Andrew and them...

And Harry can reconnect with the sister in law he was obviously v fond of before Meghan told him otherwise. Wasn't she the sister he never had or some such thing ?

MyGreyLurker · Today 19:06

Tom Sykes (The Royalist) now reporting that Harry is coming back with the kids. Meghan will 'come and go' (hinting at mainly 'go') and that the Guy Ritchie gig is not happening and has been pulled.

The sister he had always wanted.

I think that was very largely the root of problem.

Meghan was ever going to tolerate that!

That's a useful reminder @bluegreygreen. The one difficulty is that I'd see it as hard to invite them to the church walk and not then to Christmas itself at Sandringham. And I am guessing that if they are invited for Christmas then the Waleses won't go.

The Sandringham church service comes at the end of the Christmas celebrations for the RF - they still follow the tradition of the main celebration being on Christmas Eve.

That said, I assume the entire event is by invitation of the King.

Lunde · Today 19:13

ShamedBySiri · Today 11:14

The way to do Christmas is to give them lock them up in the cottage on the estate that used to be made available for Sarah Ferguson so that she could see the children at Christmas.
Invite the children over for a private children’s tea party. Which won’t include the Wales children as the Wales’s will be at the Middletons.

They can come to Church and say their general confession “I have done those things I ought not to have done and I have left undone those things I ought to have done”. Walk back.
Send some cold turkey over with a flunky.
And send them packing.

TBH I think this would be a recipe for disaster. Sarah - for all her faults - was prepared to be private in return for the invitation. Meghan would always attempt to get PR photos

You know Meghan would have her favourite WhatsApp paps on standby for the "money shots"

  • latching on to the Wales family for a planted olive branch 🌿 /reunion story "brothers reunited"
  • A photo of the Waleslings and the Hamlets - with an "Archie to support his new best buddy George"

If they were not invited to Christmas at Sandringham - Meghan would contrive to be photographed looking sad 😔 either at their house or near a Sandringham cottage with a "No room at the Inn? Charles leaves son and grandchildren out in the cold at Christmas" headline

The only way they could do it would require very careful choreography and a certain level of cooperation - possibly putting them in a car with Camilla would be a solution or using certain adult younger royals as a buffer to keep them away from the Wales (Peter & Harriet, Zara and Mike, Beatrice and Edo, Eugenie and Jack, Louise, James etc) - risk is that Meghan and Harry will linger and delay like they did at the jubilee

It was interesting that for the "Balmoral Summit" yesterday that along with the usual senior royals - Mike and James were pictured arriving.

The print media is struggling so having Harry and Meghan behaving like Kardashians gives them more revenue - and HAM seem happy to do it for their own PR.
