Tom Sykes (The Royalist) now reporting that Harry is coming back with the kids. Meghan will 'come and go' (hinting at mainly 'go') and that the Guy Ritchie gig is not happening and has been pulled.

As with all of it, let's wait and see

I guess we all knew the media were going to go crazy over this - H&M really are a gift to them - but even I didn't think it would be this bad, and if they knew as much as they pretend and their "sources" are so good, why didn't they see this so-called plan coming?

BemusedAmerican · Today 19:17

Just make HAM and the Hamlets ride with Andrew. They will crawl into the church to avoid being photographed next to them. BTW, has someone told Andrew that according to Harry, Meghan thought Andrew was a servant?

Thank you @Lunde

There's manifestation and then there is desperation.

Are journalists paid by the click these days? That's the only reason I can think of for indulging these two by putting such drivel to print.

This has really got my gander up today!!

Legacy media has an issue with rapidly falling circulation; they are trying to deal with this either with online subscriptions or advertising on their pages.

Anything that gets increased engagement is important for them, in the same way as for social media or for YouTube channels, but they are still restricted by the code of conduct that does not restrict the others.

ETA @Lunde got there first!

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 19:18

I'm not sure I believe in a "Balmoral summit" - I think it's more likely that C3 and W had a discussion/shouting match, and that after that settles there will be other conversations with different groupings - the Edinburghs, the Tindalls, etc etc to agree an approach.

But I do feel genuinely sorry for both W&C. W because he and H were so close pre-Meghan and this is just reopening old wounds, and C because, having grown up in a close and functional family, this must still be, no matter how long she's spent in the RF, baffling and distressing. And threatening to the Wales-world that they have painstakingly built to support and protect the children.

It did take long for the first confirmed disaster of their UK return to kick in. The whole 'manifesting work' isn't a solid business plan. MM is not coming to stay, she'll be here to get the pics of her arrival, maybe overshadow George's first day at Eton and then she'll disappear, leaving H to deal with the fall out.

Puzzledandpissedoff · Today 19:23

MM is not coming to stay ...

Just like last time then, @Dizzierblonde? Wink

What does that mean, come and go ? Surely they all coming and staying together

I think she's going to be working in the USA on her projects.

As ever? Can she not do that from UK ?

bluegreygreen · Today 19:26

@SqueakyDinosaur There was no 'Balmoral summit' - it was a headline invented to balance the 'Sandringham summit' discussed further down the page.

The Wales family always visit Balmoral for the last week or so of August.

I don't see why there should have been a shouting match. Despite all the pro-Sussex tabloid spin, it's clear when you see the King and Prince of Wales together than they have a warm relationship. Yes, each of them may get irritated occasionally, but that's not a crime, and doesn't necessarily lead to rows.

It's interesting. I suspect that she's preferring to work alone.

Was watching a commentator on GB news. Didn't see his name but something he said made a lot of sense. RF either has to welcome them back as working royals or cut them loose completely ala AMW. Strip titles, etc. otherwise it'll be the gift that keeps on giving.

Well, i don't agree with GBNews in general, so it's not surprising i disagree with this.

Whipping up hysteria, it's either/or!!!!

Rather than they are a bit pathetic and embarrassing, but not on the scale of Nazi support by Edward VIII or AMW's misconduct. They continually making fools of themselves. They gave made some very nasty accusations which have then turned out to be dubious to anyone who can think for themselves.

It's laughable that they cling on to their titles. Edward and Sophie have shown a lot more sense and dignity. But it's part of making themselves a laughing stock.

I have to admit I'd be surprised if this is the actual plan. I thought she wouldnt want to come across as anything other than a devoted mother, and leaving your children in another country and swanning off definitely isnt that. I suppose she can frame it as having no other choice due to the evil royal family and racist british public who are constantly out to get her

Starryfifty · Today 19:33

The Guy Ritchie TV series was utterly ridiculous. She now looks like a complete fool

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 19:34

If the visa speculations about H are correct, even partially, then it may not be possible for him to return to the US.

I agree. All this Sussex spin about KC and William not getting on is nonsense. KC wants to pass on the monarchy effectively, and William wants to learn. Both have learned from the stupidity, and greed of Harry and his desperate wife, also from KC and Kate having cancer. It's bound to have made them consider the future.
Shouting match my arse.

Sadly nice guys don’t win. And most people seem to have no memory and no critical thinking ability. If they see constant pictures/instas/whatever of Meghan swanning around in innumerable new outfits at glam spots, and Harry being Mr Fun Clown of the People - then H&M will have achieved Project Back in Britain. Any nfi events of the rf will just result in rf looking mean to H&M and worse A&L.

In the medium term the nice guys have won. Look at the uk popularity figures for W&C compared to H&M these days.

There's a level of desperation there. It's not great.

No. He will not be able to return. He's lucky he won't get a jail sentence either. US take that stuff very seriously

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 19:41

Shouting match my arse.

I am not convinced. Both of them have fairly fiery tempers, as has been documented frequently, and both of them, due to their hereditary positions, are unaccustomed to being contradicted or in situations that are not being controlled for them. To be clear, I don't think a fiery temper is a bad thing, just something that needs to be managed and used to good purpose. But I think that the level of entitlement that H has shown, which has only become apparent since he abandoned the advice of the MIGS, is unlikely to be absent in either C3 or W.

Starryfifty · Today 19:47

A very odd narrative. "Meg will come and go". Her 2 very young children are moving to a different continent. Surely a parent should be with them all the time?

"Documented frequently" by whom? People Magazine?
We are talking about the Head of State and the Heir to the Throne.
When Harry was writing/telling all that guff he was less than clueless. He didn't even know they had constitutional and political briefings together. I would file it under "Stuff Harry Has Claimed" like where he was when the Queen Mother died or how many sausages he got.

I think that's the most puzzling part of this move, tbh. I know neither of them are known for honest communication, but it's a strange one.

sunflowersintheday · Today 19:51

Anyone still believing stories trotted out by Harry should realise that only a year ago he said that the UK wasn't safe for his wife and children.

Starryfifty · Today 19:52

And it gets stranger
