So, do people think the school is the one the Tindall kids go to?

That's my thinking.
It forces a connection and relationship with the most popular non working Royal family.
And then they will piggy back off them into the wider circle of friends and family. And the closeness with W &C is well known so the potential to piss them off could well be a bonus to an embittered man like H

Mylovelygreendress · Today 14:53

Starryfifty · Today 14:44

They never clapped back either. I 100 💯 believe a post divorce book is inevitable and will destroy H

I am not so sure . As I have said before , Meghan wants 2 things - money and her title - so the RF could really make life uncomfortable for her should she go down the book route .

What does that mean for the family now? Because we were told that’s the reason why they were bloody moving over here.

They can’t even keep this crap going for 24hrs

They don't need to.

They only need to decide which statement to put out.

I wonder if they have a list to go through, or just make one up on the day?

Choux · Today 14:56

Tina Brown on X is stating the role for The Gentlemen isn’t going ahead now!

Yeh, it never was! Liam was laughing his ass off at the press falling for this crap, which helped him disguise the bad news that Harry owes millions….and millions.

Why the hell does the Telegraph, The sun, The BBC and The Guardian keep printing this stuff without bloody doing some journalism first….they might as well just let Liam write their headlines for them. It’s ridiculous

So it was a dead cat story and, as it’s shown to be inaccurate, the average reader is now unsure how much of everything else reported is inaccurate. 🙄

I wish Guy Ritchie would put out a statement.

Obama to blame 😅

Oh dear. Meghan doth Megretsit.

@BasiliskStare we can say cunt on here without the astrix, despite the depravity of many areas of the internet, swearing is often forbidden - so I do think we should make the most of the fact we can swear like adults on here.

@Scorchio84 that tweet is hilarious.

Re Nigel Farage- now he is worthy of being called a cunt - however at least he is 'working' whilst having security - the Hams think they can swan around doing nothing and still get tax payer funded security.

Oh @CoffeeCantata I do agree! I felt weirdly depressed by this news, I think because - whilst they were in California - their behaviour could be seen as completely ridiculous and a nonsense but ultimately removed from the RF (who I think have done a great job of grey rocking them so far). Now, they're almost shouldering themselves back into the fold and making it much harder for the RF to distance themselves.
I really despise them both, but Harry in particular, for bringing a whole load of stress to the doors of the very people they allowed to be defamed, mocked and criticised whilst they stood by and watched. People who've risen above their bullshit, kept quiet and tried to live their own lives whilst dealing with illness and fears for the future. All this without a single shred of apology or self awareness/reflection from H&M...certainly not publicly. It's just awful.

And I also have questions....where's Doria in all of this? She's the only family A&L have known growing up, but now they're happy to up and leave her. And I truly, genuinely would love to know how Meghan is going to cope when her children have to have brushed hair for school and wear socks, shoes and - the horror!!! even tights in winter! She will be railing against 'panty hose' in the inevitable tell-all book one day!

BemusedAmerican · Today 15:11

Nile Gardiner is doing the YouTube rounds. He just did a long show with Kinsey Schofield talking about the harm that HAM will cause as well as the visa issue. He came across very well as he did with Kevin O'Sullivan.

I agree that appearing with Government officials is not helpful, although celebrities who get involved with campaigns do it all the time. The problem for Harry is that he has changed status so there needs to be very clear comms around his participation in events.

Having said that it for the government to intervene, not the monarch. If Harry is interfering politically then the political part of the establishment should be the ones to reign him in. This where I feel constitutional monarchy needs a bit of work. The checks and balances don't work if politicians are going to defer to the monarch even if that monarch is wrong (the AMW debacle) or pose for group photos with a minor royal who is making political statements (Harry).

Harry can, and will, say whatever he wants, but the establishment need to avoid any hint of official status or approval.

Yes absolutely. This is why I think the steer has to come from Burnham as part of how he wants his administration to approach things. It's not a case of Charles telling him what to do, more the kind of sharing of years of wisdom gained from watching things play out on the world stage.

Celebrities do this of course and in those situations there's a clearer sense of what everyone's getting out of the transaction. Harry though likes to shift between being seen as a celeb and seen as royal depending on what advantages him most, while not thinking he needs to bring anything to the party himself other than, well, himself. The point about them returning as private citizens has to be the underlying principle governing everything. Half in half out would suit HAM nicely, but everyone else would be carrying the cost.

Lifestooshort71 · Today 15:19

Apart from knowing that they are moving back to the UK, isn't the rest just speculation (as usual)? Possibly the Cotswolds and the Tindall's schools, possibly acting for Meghan, possibly....nothing for Harry? I find it depressing that all the news feeds are full of it 😟

bluegreygreen · Today 15:21

It keeps the attention away from the court case, @Lifestooshort71.

The DM is claiming that Harry is whining 'privately' to the Home Secretary about lack of tax payer funded security. It is beyond belief that he doesn't see the absolute crassness of this behaviour.

Harry doesn't know the meaning of the word "privately" 🙄

How much are these ‘journalists’ being paid? How ever much it is, it’s too much. They are all being played (again).

I'm not sure they're being "played" exactly, IAmATouturedPoet - more that they'll know perfectly well most of it is crap but produce it anyway because they know it sells, and for too many editors that's all that matters

BreadInCaptivity · Today 15:44

I don’t think anyone needs to be depressed by this news.

HaM will fuck this next chapter of their lives up - they just can’t help themselves - without “help” from anyone else.

It’s already started. H pressing the Home Secretary for security - what a surprise, clearly motivation for this move is him saving an estimated $3m pa on security when he’s financially screwed himself over re:ANL.

Even now he can’t see how poor the optics will be of him returning after all they have both done to malign the UK and the RF and still expect the taxpayer to pick up the tab to protect him (though god knows the pair of them need protection from their own poor judgement).

On this issue alone they are already coming back to a growing swell of public resentment (as if they needed to add to more grist to the mill of already poor public perception).

As for Christmas/Royal family events the press are touting that PW risks looking petty if he refuses to bury the hatchet with HaM.

I disagree. W&C are the most popular royals and if KC invites HAM to Sandringham I think the vast majority of the public would applaud them deciding to spend the holiday season with the Middleton clan at Forest lodge (or at C’s parents home) rather than be played by HAM.

I also don’t think they’d be alone, especially if reports are true that Anne, Edward and Sophie are also not in a forgiving mood (and where Anne goes I think it’s safe to say the Tindall’s and Phillip’s will follow).

So KC risks spending Xmas with just HAM if he offers an invitation and the optics of a rift with PW look far worse than any noise about HAM whinging about being left out - when anyone with half a brain can understand why the majority of the RF don’t want to spend 5 mins with them, never mind 5 days.

The RF just need to keep on doing what they are doing. Grey rock, short, private meetings with KC only and deprive them of content for what I expect will be a new documentary to peddle to Netflix on their return to salty island (where M can say “I tried again and it was still shit” and H can slag off his family for not welcoming him with open arms and wallets - which they will do regardless of the warmth or coolness of the response from the RF).

Not sure how true it is but Rob Shuter claims they are making a return to the UK with a camera crew in tow to make another Netflix documentary………

@BreadInCaptivity

Yes, that is something to be grateful for - W & C do have the Middletons to take refuge with from time to time if M&H manage to wheedle their way into Christmas etc. I bet the Middies have a much more relaxing time than they do at Sandringham!

On reddit, there are rumours that the sudden move to the UK is because Archwell Fauxlanthropies is going to be investigated for fraud. I do wonder if it's some such "big thing" because the UK is surely the last place on earth she wants to live, especially without the grand apology and exceptional security detail which, up until this month, were major reasons for her refusal to set foot on British soil.
