Another escape flight? 😬

Will be interesting to see what they do next. Wasn’t their As Ever brand marketed around the California lifestyle? How would that translate to the UK?
Do you think King Charles has agreed to a half-in, half-out deal?
Will Doria visit?
so many questions!

ABitFab · Yesterday 03:41

Its Not an april fools joke is it?

Irememberwhenitwasallfieldsroundhere · Yesterday 04:43

Thanks for the new thread.

I'm really shocked they’re moving here.

FortnamsTea · Yesterday 04:47

I hope it all goes well for them. Good schools and family connections for the children too. It's nice.

BemusedAmerican · Yesterday 04:52

The visa situation a little too close to home? And what's wrong with US schools? I have a much better public school education and public university education than Harry.

AtIusvue · Yesterday 06:26

There must be SOMETHING else going on for this to happen @BemusedAmerican

It could be Visa or tax issues

But their businesses are a total failure and there’s no way for them to make millions out there again. The lifestyle out there costs way too much and he will now be expecting KC to stump up an estate and cash for him

AtIusvue · Yesterday 06:30

So how is he going to explain that Meghan and his family could never return to the UK because of security issues and had to leave in the first place because of the racist ….(insert as appropriate) ….now they are coming back??!!!

This is insane

Recklessismymiddlename · Yesterday 06:31

They are broke. Must be. I feel for the Waleses.

Lifestooshort71 · Yesterday 06:40

If, as reported, they will not be living on one of the royal estates with its in-built security protection, how the heck will that work! Are we back to square one and the jolly old taxpayer will be in the frame again?!! Full transparency please.

AtIusvue · Yesterday 06:41

There must be huge money issues but I’m also getting vibes that this is the end for Harry and Meg.

She will hate it here, like last time- (to the point she didn’t want to live anymore) and now he’s bringing her back to that? I can see a divorce in the near future…it’s clear the kids will remain here

StrawberryWasp · Yesterday 06:48

I did not see this coming!! I can't believe she's agreed to it!
Obviously Harry hasn't been happy in the USA and has been yearning for his old life. But california is everything she wants and the UK has nothing she wants.

What's she going to do here? She has no charity roles, no business, no friends, no family, is hated by a large parentage of the public, it sounds miserable.

What about As Ever? Can she still pretend to run a business based on her california garden from Northampton?

At least things have got interesting again! All that is he going to visit next month stuff got very dull.

Edited

Why would she agree to it??
I can't understand it.

Also if they didnt tell the king he must be bloody furious. They came to tea, supposedly building bridges, but failed to raise this huge change which would impact the king. And just announced it to the press a week later?
They really don't have a clue on how to build relationships do they?

Harry never explains anything, remember his feelings about events are just as true as actual facts, according to him. We may see the contradictions and the hypocrisy and the sadness in a man of 40 thinking turning up at the odd charity event that her makes about himself is a life of service, but Harry genuinely believes everything he says at the time he says it.

I don't think Meghan is hated by most of the public, I believe they are indifferent. All that goodwill has just faded away with the constant accusations and drama.

I agree, they don't have a clue about relationships, and would add to that working. There was potential in pretty much everything they started in the US but they don't seem to put time or effort in any of it. Harry was clearly used to the MIGS doing all the logistical work for visits that he obviously never took real interest in. Meghan, as an actress, was used to turning up and doing her bit with everything else set up. Neither of them had the skills or the attention span to start anything from scratch. So sad.

Also the BBC saying this isn’t permanent?
why uproot your kids like this to put them in a UK school (that Meg previously had said she would never do, because they’d be followed by the paps) to move them again?

BBC:

‘Is this a forever move?
Not at the moment but they are expecting to be in the UK for what has been described to me as "an extended period of time".’

StrawberryWasp · Yesterday 07:06

Also, it's clear this isn't about the children. Again they're used as a smoke screen for HAM to do what they want.
The children were already in good private schools. They don't need to move.
It might be about the children if they were focused on building relationships with their family but HAM seem incapable of doing this.

I anticipate those children are going to be dragged from pillar to post, disoriented about where they belong, why they are estranged from their wider families, confused about the history and differing accounts, and pawns in their parents never ending psychodramas.
It's really not good for those kids all this.

Exactly.

Ok they're young and can cope with a school change. But it's not going to end up being one school change is it?
And it's in the context of family alienation, unstable parents, and knee jerk decision making.

I wonder how many threads we will get through before their return.

How can they be stopped from attending the Sandringham walk about now.
