I do think KCs state visit to the US really shook them up. From memory Camilla's son in law and great nephew were invited to the state banquet. H & M were not invited to any of the events or even mentioned. A huge snub to them which they probably weren't expecting.

H’s friend Guy Pelly - who was snubbed for an evening invite to H’s wedding - was also invited. H and M weren’t invited and the fact that KC had American gc wasn’t mentioned in the speech about all the links between the RF and the US.
I expect a plethora of articles speculating about H and M being invited to various rf events over the next few months. The tabloids are going to be delighted at all the mischief they can make and space they can fill.

Very well but at least try and make sense

I’m making perfect sense. It’s you who seems to have led a very sheltered life and is unable to understand a different opinion to yours based on real life experience in a world where children move schools frequently.

Till now 3 posters have said the same thing on the subject. Are you suggesting that they also need to be making sense of their posts.

Consolidating what I’ve posted elsewhere, I saw this broken last night and caught The Royalist’s “emergency” podcast, Tom Sykes (ex royal rota) and Robert Jobson discussing.

TS is calling the Cotswolds as their base and Beaudesert Park as the school, Zara and Peter went there and Zara’s children are current pupils.

TS thinks there is no way this was sprung on the King, it’s been in the works at least since the balcony meeting as part of Project Thaw. RJ not so sure, given the way they orchestrated the Canada move.

People are speculating about C’s health but TS has heard treatment has gone better than anyone expected and C is expected to live out his natural life. (Both of his parents lived with cancer until their nineties.)

I’m sceptical about much of the You Tube output but there are some who seem to have better intel.

Unfortunately, Anmer Hall is on the Sandringham estate and is very much beloved of the Waleses! Also, the reports so far state that Meghan and Harry are going to live in a private house. Not a crown property

Highgrove is a private property.

HoldMyWine · Yesterday 13:00

smilesy · Yesterday 12:49

It’s now being reported that the PM has said he wishes H&M well on their return to the UK, but that their security is a private matter. So no special protection

I hope this is correct

Starryfifty · Yesterday 13:00

So Meg was right. She's coming back and Catherine has no choice but to suck it up

JSMill · Yesterday 13:02

Sandringham is a private estate. That’s why AMW was put there. Highgrove belongs to the Duchy of Cornwall so that’s a definite no no!

Starryfifty · Yesterday 13:06

Justdancevance · Yesterday 12:19

Meghan’s struggles to keep friendships and will end up surrounded by z listers as thirsty as attention for herself.

Harry and Meghan want soap opera drama so serious people will run for the hills

They must be revelling in all the drama / publicity now. Apparently they can't wait to be reunited with close friends in Cotswolds (whoever they are)

Highgrove is a private property.

Yes but I was replying to a poster that said they should be put in a house on the Sandringham estate I doubt very much they would be at Highgrove. Although they might try and be near the king like they tried to be near the late Queen at Windsor, I suppose. Not sure that would wash. They seem to think that their machinations will not be obvious to anyone else 😆

I also thought of how they were able to keep the Canada move secret till it was underway so the speed of this move hasn’t surprised me at all.

feellikeanalien · Yesterday 13:11

I'm a very infrequent poster but a long time lurker on these threads.

I am completely shocked that they are coming back. I really can't see how Meghan will stand it.

The tabloid nonsense has already started in the DM and others.

I really feel for W&C.

I think they will try to do royal type appearances as there do still seem to be people prepared to invite them and also others who will like the idea of sticking it to the RF. It will be a nightmare for the RF.

I really can't see them having complete personality changes and living quietly.

Yes sorry, I was just raising a flag! There’s speculation about where they might end up, outside London must mean the Cotswolds, the school is likely to be Beaudesert, Highgrove is nearby and has been set up with security good enough for the King.

Goodness yes - that was a totally supposedly ludicrous quote from only last week…..

I said on the other thread that the killer line is that MM will lead her businesses from their international residences. I read that as she’s not coming - this is a fade out divorce (even if PH doesn’t realise yet) - she will be in Cali and pop to Portugal for half terms to save the kids a long haul / jet lag flight.

I think she is consistent in her behaviour of swerving every single shit storm PH generates. She went to ground around Spare, she changed very public plans at the very last minute to avoid being by his side in UK when the ANL verdict was announced in early July.

She is now strategically avoiding being at his side for the Sentebale trial which will muller his character and at the collapse of IG as PH scrabbles around desperate for sponsors at the eleventh hour.

She knows they need royal adjacency but the being held to such tight parameters by KC3 in July will have been intolerable for her. So she will get her royal adjacency through her DCs who will be educated in British upper class / royal system that she can merch off in the US.

Debt and divorce is driving this move.

We won’t see MM in the UK for dust.

Dontevenlookatme · Yesterday 13:17

I wish I could remember the poster who coined the excellent phrase “half in, ass out”.

KatherineParr · Yesterday 13:17

I don't think it's possible to generalise about overseas moves. My husband and I both moved internationally as children. His moves were for job related reasons and they were well planned out by engaged parents who provided a stable family unit and ensured educational continuity in English language schools. He is largely unaffected, although he misses some of his friends who live overseas. My moves were chaotic and based on parental whim. One was thrown together within a few weeks and my mother put me into schools where I couldn't speak the language. Unsurprisingly I'm much more affected. We agree the international background drew us together.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 13:17

Sentable will have to be settled out of court. No way RF can be anywhere near H if it goes to Court

bluegreygreen · Yesterday 13:18

Highgrove is not an official royal residence, but belongs to the Duchy of Cornwall, so currently is owned by William. They are not going to be living there.

They are non-working royals, so do not need to be provided with 24 hr security, especially as the working royals, Princess Anne and the Edinburghs, are only provided with police security when on official duty. The only royals who have 24 hr security are the monarch, his wife, and the heir and his family.

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 13:18

@Paunchyy I do agree that M either doesn't want to or realises she never will be a member of the WRF again , but I suspect can see the advantages of her children being in the RF wider fold , even if never working royals themselves.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · Yesterday 13:19

Obviously the funniest place to put our returned difficult younger son would be Royal Lodge, Andrew & Fergie would be livid.

they won’t but it would be fun to see Meghan realise she was the new Fergie, not the new Diana.

Yes I agree. It’s why I said if handled well the moves are doable/not such a big deal.

Looking how well Charles treats the York girls, I can see Meghan would think that would be a good deal for her kids.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 13:31

Yes but KC not around forever. HAM's next move is to target PW for a "reconciliation "

flapjackfairy · Yesterday 13:32

But I just dont understand how they are going to support themselves long term. The jam isn't going to.provide a massive income and what other money will they have coming in .

JoanChitty · Yesterday 13:35

I saw on YouTube that allegedly HAM will be based near Northampton and Althorp “As it’s close to family” I’m afraid I can’t post it as my tech support isn’t here!
