That dreadful outfit wearing soneone elses jeans has surprised me. if i was her i would wonder how H stuff wss put in wrong wardrobe OR who the jeans really belong to. They just dont fit.

I am sure i read somewhere that Oprah turned down a second interview with H&M recently. I cant find it now!

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/08/2026 22:44

It's never too late for wine, @Mylovelygreendress .

Unless you plan to dump a load of random, indiscreet holiday photos on Instagram after three pints of rosè.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/08/2026 23:10

It’s never too late for a cheeky vino! 🍷

Going back to how the last thread ended - Meghan needs to take a (sober) look at what she is posting. Whatever her intention is, public perception is that she is a. (often) drunk b. ‘Doing a Britney’ c. posting happy birthday messages to herself, posing as some mythical ‘As Ever’ staff d. contriving to imitate her dead mother in law with whom her husband has a strange Oedipal obsession. Perhaps none of these things are true, but the fact that people think they might be should be enough to give her pause. Perception is everything.

I can’t believe we already need another new thread.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 05/08/2026 08:25

Regarding Diana's charisma, I was at an event she attended, there was something about her, you just had to keep looking at her. I think you either have it or not; it can't be faked or learnt. Its odd because I wasn't a super fan of Diana although I mostly liked her.

Starryfifty · 05/08/2026 08:28

Thanks for the new thread 🩷🩷

Starryfifty · 05/08/2026 08:30

The video is utter cringe. So contrived and are appears drunk 🤔 no hamlets either

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 05/08/2026 08:38

Thanks Todger.

From the last thread

bit of an echo chamber really. No one else involved, just M wishing herself a happy birthday whilst imitating her dead mother in law

Which is all the more weird as she doesn't have a relationship with the living in-laws

Perhaps none of these things are true, but the fact that people think they might be should be enough to give her pause

Indeed, in the words of Dowager Countess of Grantham "The truth is neither here nor there. It's the look of the thing that matters"

MrsLeonFarrell · 05/08/2026 08:51

Harking back to the Platell article, I think she is wrong about the public causing an outcry. This forum is skewed because we want to discuss the Royal family but the vast majority of the public are indifferent to most of the things we discuss in detail. Her point reminds me of twitter where people, of any opinion, assume that the public feel the same way they do verbatim others tweet in support of their points, when in reality only a tiny minority of the country is even on twitter.

AMW cuts through, so did the racism allegation but in general it's all sound and fury signifying nothing. Most have far more important personal things to focus on.

The press would make a fuss of course, and the comment sections, but I'm not sure the general public would care about Charles and his grandchildren, particularly if the palace keep grey rocking.

Yes, you'd think MM would understand that, having trained as an actress albeit not a very good one!

DH poured me a glass but by the time he brought it to the living room I had fallen asleep !
Ho hum .
They go home today .

StaySpicy · 05/08/2026 09:42

Well, it's my birthday today and I'm exactly 1 day younger than the ol' Duchess.

I know the world is disappointed not to see me jumping with balloons in a cossie but the pool is undergoing refurbishment...

My dad met her (and Harry!) back in about 1986 and I still remember him saying all the men (RAF visit so lots of young officers) were saying they'd never wash their hand again having had it shaken by her.

Can't imagine people saying that about MM.

P.S. Thanks for the new thread, @BigWillyLittleTodger !

Edit to add - I must have been 5 when the visit happened, so perhaps he mentioned it some years later which is why I can remember what he said!

Remmin · 05/08/2026 09:50

That pooljumping photo is so weird.

It's clearly meant to have a "wild and spontaneous" vibe, but it's been carefully set up and the photographer is there to capture just the right angle.

It's the kind of behaviour you might expect at a party, but there seems to be literally nobody else there (except that hardworking photographer, of course). Did the photographer bring the balloons, or did she just buy them for herself to jump into the pool with?

It's a summertime celebration pool photo, but in ominous black-and-white, as if it's some 1950s news article or something.

All of it is just bizarre and off-kilter.

Butteredtoast55 · 05/08/2026 09:54

@Remmin that's exactly it....where is everybody? Why on earth would you leap into a pool holding birthday balloons? It's so very odd. I've said it before and I'll say it again, HAM (especially Meghan on the old socials) never put a foot right.

savemydrawers · 05/08/2026 10:02

They say it's much more difficult to spot AI on black and white photos but I have always wondered if she chooses them to minimise her skin tone.

Birthday balloons are very non-u these days anyway, what with all the helium and non-biodegradable waste.
Shame on you Meghan!

binkie163 · 05/08/2026 10:06

I would want to wash my hand after touching m. She is constantly touching face, hair, nose, food, like h she sometimes has a distinctly sweaty, grubby look. I will never forget the sweat stains on the brown satin trousers, I had a beautiful pair of chocolate brown satin trousers and binned them after seeing that.

Pool pic:
What is the rope in the pic? Full length of photo.
