Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

Was there not another illegitimate child of Mark Phillips in New Zealand or Australia or somewhere?

Why?

Where I live it is pointless to plant Lupins as the slugs find them delectable.

Yes I've given up on Lupins because of the slugs. But I do love them and my parents have masses of them in their cottage garden.

Why would Lupins be illegal?

They are regarded as an invasive species - I have quite a few wild ones on the edge of my garden and I thought I might have to pull them up. But apparently you are only obliged to remove them on public/communal land. They add colour to my garden in summer

That’s good to hear about your dogs and foxgloves OP. I’m desperate for a bit of height in my back borders. I also like gladioli. Any bets for those to appear in the bouquet?

Incidentally, how do you pronounce “bouquet”? I say Bo-kay but I watched a Willow Crossley video and she pronounces it Boo-kay which reminds me of Mrs Bucket TBH.

Imusthavesaiditwrong · Yesterday 16:22

Love lupins.

PrincessBeatch · Yesterday 16:22

Will Willow be doing the flowers? If the bride has an informal deconstructed bouquet then that’s her style.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Yesterday 16:35

My Gladioli are always a disappointment, too much wind and not enough stalk strength.

I would love a walled cottage garden.

The flowers for the wedding look beautiful.

I think I saw some trees being taken into the church (I may be wrong here) . They do seem to be quite the thing at expensive weddings these days. When DH and I got married we were doing it almost on a shoe string , or ,not quite , rather a v. tight budget) Luckily for us our neighbours were getting married the day before in the same church ( they were older and more prosperous than we ) and they said - don't spend money on flowers , we'll leave ours. They did and they were lovely .

I've read it's 'an intimate, private affair'. It better not be too private as pictures of some gorgeous outfits and flowers are needed!

I think I've read they are setting up a press area outside the church. So ceremony inside the church , not filmed , nor the reception on the Gatcombe estate , but frock and flowers coming and go to the church - should be photos. I think there will be plenty !

I think her dad was a solicitor. I’m sure she will be very elegant. Do we know who from the royals is attending. I think Charles and Camilla are going to a bit of it and then going to the races.

The Wales family and the Edinburghs are going .
” Sources” close to Harry say he blames William for telling PP not to invite him and Meg .
It couldn’t possibly be any other reason !!

PostcardFromDoggerland · Yesterday 16:54

I'd want a Harry-free wedding too, if I were Harriet. Anne's probably banned him from Gatcombe anyway.

That feather didn't find its way there by accident, just saying.

MrsLeonFarrell · Yesterday 17:22

Most royal weddings only have press photos as people go in and out of the Church, I expect this will be the same.

I love weddings, all the details are always fascinating. Am I right that Harriet is a nurse?

Well done, Harry. Insult your cousin Peter by suggesting he has no mind of his own, nor an understanding of wider family dynamics.

Lovely, thank you!! Think we all need a bit of a lift 👒 🎩 💐 🌹 🌸 👗 🥻 😁

ERthree · Yesterday 17:28

I will look forward to seeing what Sophie is wearing, she always looks lovely. I wonder if Anne will buy new or wear something from her wardrobe?

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 17:35

Oh yes @ERthree I'll be interested to see what Anne wears. She's obviously very sporty and has a trim figure and by goodness she looks good in uniform on a horse. I'd be rather disappointed if she didn't "recycle" something - or in my parlance "wear it again". As long as it's not her wedding dress to CMP - which I thought was one of the best Royal wedding dresses , but I think MN would consider it too bridal 😂. Frankly how brilliant to still be able to fit into things you wore donkey's years ago. I'm sure she'll look great though.

Berlinlover · Yesterday 17:42

Mark Philips fathered a daughter named Felicity Tonkin in 1985 when he was still married to Princess Anne. It is not believed she has ever met Peter and Zara.

PrincessBeatch · Yesterday 17:50

Harry is an arse.

SqueakyDinosaur · Yesterday 17:51

I was thinking meanly that it would be funny if all guests who'd been at H&M's wedding wore the same outfits again for this one.

santamole · Yesterday 17:51

Will Capt. Mark be there also? I presume so as his Dad!

Ooh drama ! I am looking forward to the photos

Chrysanthemum5 · Yesterday 18:11

Thank you @StrawberryWaspi do enjoy seeing a wedding and I thought the pictures I’ve seen of the flowers look lovely. I think she will be an elegant bride and I look forward to seeing it all tomorrow!

ajandjjmum · Yesterday 18:12

I was amazed to see Anne was doing engagements today - if I had dozens of people turning up at my place tomorrow, and my son was getting married, I'd want to be there to make sure everything was running to plan!

She is truly amazing.

Hope it's a lovely day for them all - thanks for the thread OP.
