Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

Foxgloves are highly toxic, are they not? I only say this because AI keeps recommending me to plant foxgloves/digitalis in a particular spot in my garden but I won’t because I have a dog that likes to go grubbing there. So, after the drama over the Lily of the Valley in Meghan’s bouquet, foxgloves are an interesting choice.

OMG.

Thanks for the thread, I do love a wedding and gossip, I am all here for some idle chit chat.

AsparagusSeason · Yesterday 15:37

I’ll be interested to see what the bride wears. I think she’s very stylish but I hope she’s not ‘full bridal’ as I think it’s a bit daft for second marriages and in middle age.

I have been coveting foxgloves, they are beautiful but highly poisonous. They would look beautiful in a bouquet.

Does anyone know where the photos will be shown?

Lindy2 · Yesterday 15:40

I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.

I love foxgloves. As long as no one is planning on eating the bouquets all should be fine.

PostcardFromDoggerland · Yesterday 15:40

As long as it's proper idle, I'm here. None of these serious points about patriarchal hierarchies or the commercialisation of the royal family, got it? Fripperies all round!

Who's on the guest list, do we know? Will there be appalling York millinery? Maybe Bea and Eugenie could have hats styled in the fashion of peasants' cottages.

HoldMyWine · Yesterday 15:42

Absolutely @PostcardFromDoggerland. Frocks and flowers please!

KimTheresPeopleThatAreDying · Yesterday 15:43

I love a wedding so will be happily watching as the photos come out!

NoCommentingFromNowOn · Yesterday 15:44

Are Beatrice and Eugenie even invited?

I’m interested in frocks of all varieties and the cake.

Is his wife to be from a……how do you describe it……..society family? Or ‘normal’?

NoCommentingFromNowOn · Yesterday 15:45

What time is it happening?

I have dogs and foxgloves all seem to be surviving.

I never think to use them in the house for cut flowers though. Do they last well does anyone know?

I think her dad was a solicitor. I’m sure she will be very elegant. Do we know who from the royals is attending. I think Charles and Camilla are going to a bit of it and then going to the races.

Love a fancy wedding and just as keen to see dress / flowers / bridesmaids. I hope they keep it out of Hello and that they have a successful blended future.

Normal I think

Definitely the more idle superficial nonsense the better.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the children together. There should be a fair few children if all the cousins are bringing all their kids which I presume they will be.

I do like kids at weddings, zooming around in gangs creating chaos.

Looks like they are going for an English country garden vibe as I see Lupins and Peonies as well

(Where I live it is illegal to plant Lupins)

I was wondering about this.
Maybe she wont have a veil as a second time bride? Just a headpiece of some sort. Which can look very beautiful.

Apparently she's a very committed Christian. (this is unrelated to her tiara obvs)

All my favourite flowers!! I love the cottage garden look.

Isn't there another half-sibling as well? Felicity? IIRC she was born in NZ as a result of Mark Phillips having an affair with her mother which ultimately caused the divorce from Princess Anne.

But I'm not sure there is any contact with that half-sibling.

Why?

Where I live it is pointless to plant Lupins as the slugs find them delectable.

AsparagusSeason · Yesterday 15:55

I’d put money on no veil.
