Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

All this talk of Isla Phillips being "gorgeous" etc.....she's only 13.

Agree it is inappropriate.

I wish the happy couple well.

HoldMyWine · Today 10:30

It’s so creepy

PlentifulPeoniesPlease · Today 10:33

So far the rain has held off, it is grey and blustery with snatches of sunshine.
I’m here, the road to the church is closed off, the wind just blew down the police barricade 😆. Not many people around.

Next to the church is a rather gorgeous huge Manor House and it looked as if the wedding party walked out from there in the clip of them attending the rehearsal yesterday. I wonder if they are friends/relatives of the owners or have hired it for a couple of days so they can get ready and walk out from there 🤔.
In which case I will see nothing!

It must be a lot for Harriet's teenage daughter getting two step sisters and the whole circus of the wider family.

Yes, overwhelming I imagine.

That was such a nice thing to do.. I love hearing things like that

Also @PrincessBeatch I say bo-kay too.. my crazy nana (not unlike Mrs Bucket) would def have said "boo-kay" 😆

Our Vicar said to let him know our colour scheme and he'd pass it on to the ladies who did the church flowers. He said he couldn't promise anything. Indeed, there was a profusion of red roses on the day which went with my bouquet beautifully. 🌹

(I think I say boo-quet but it's more like b'quet. Definitely not bo-quet although I'm not claiming that I'm right!)

Why on earth is it inappropriate. You can say it about makes or females at any age, it’s not sexual.

Well, just one poster said ‘gorgeous’ tbf. I said she’s pretty, which she is. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

Ok.
I just think these comments about the physical attractiveness of a 13 year old girl shouldn't be encouraged.
Just my opinion.

Great on the ground reporting @PlentifulPeoniesPlease 😊💐

Do we know what time the wedding is ?

NoCommentingFromNowOn · Today 11:12

Are you able to hang around all day @PlentifulPeoniesPlease ? If so, are you allowed to take photos?

I always fancied going to Sandringham one Christmas morning to wait on the path or Road the royals walk along to get to church. I’m not particularly a royal lover, I’m not a church goer, I like my privacy so would not like to be filmed for the lunchtime news and I don’t live anywhere near Sandringham. But still, every year I have the thought that I should go there. Weird!

Continuing my theme this week of ‘old threads’, there was a thread one late summer about a poorly woman who wanted to do something special for what might have been her last Christmas and she decided to go to Sandringham. She didn’t come back to the thread to say she’d done it unfortunately, but she was looking forward to it. A few people on the thread said they had done it but they mainly seemed to be locals.

I must be missing something as I find the comments about Isla looking very like Zara very odd. Other than being blond and a similar face shape she doesn’t imo. Different eyes, nose and mouth.

When you look at younger photos of her mother, Autumn Kelly, Isla very obviously takes after her.

I don't see the resemblance with Zara either

NoCommentingFromNowOn · Today 11:21

Do they live in the UK? I suppose (on the assumption that the three girls get on) it must be nice to have someone who can show you the unofficial ropes eg ‘this is where the chocolate cupboard is in the banqueting kitchen’ or whatever odd things there are to know 🤣.

CaramacBar · Today 11:23

The Royals I do see a resemblance between are Louis and Grandpa Middleton. Beatrice and Queen Victoria

You wrote that like they are talking about her body, they clearly aren’t. She’s obviously a very pretty girl and there is absolutely no issue in saying this. It is not sexual, and not about her body.

it’s ok to say someone is gorgeous, be they a baby or a young boy or a middle aged man, there is nothing inappropriate about it.

midJulytarget · Today 11:32

I wouldn't like my 13 year old ds to be described as gorgeous on social media, I don't like the idea of him thinking that's what's most important. And it could make him either self-conscious or big headed.

Exactly. Isla is objectively pretty, and there’s absolutely nothing inappropriate about saying so. I sent an old school friend pics of my sons. Her comment back was ‘wow, they are so good looking!’. Was I supposed to take offence or ask her not to comment? No, because I’m not a twit.

I think you should read what I have written. Not what you imagine.
I said absolutely nothing about her body. Those are your words and yours alone.
I've made my points. You want to comment on how attractive a teenage girl is? Go for it.

For me, it’s also the ‘this one specific child is beautiful’ with no mention of the other.

They’re both much loved daughters of a man who is remarrying this weekend and I hope they have a great time.

When will we have photos of the frocks? I want to see them now dammit *stamps feet.

Any guesses on colours? Sunny yellow for someone I’m sure.

Wedding guests never seem to wear cardigans on top of posh frocks 🤔. Maybe they add a thermal layer underneath?

I think a private comment between friends is different to a published comment about a girl who has been photographed at an event though.

Sometimes I don’t see resemblances between various people, but then someone will look over their shoulder or laugh and then for a split second they look identical!

Well the Church is on a triangle of lanes and I decided to come round to the bigger road guessing traffic would go up that way to turn down to the church. Plonked myself on a seat outside the village hall which has provided a little entertainment. Media and police had a briefing in the hall, then loads of press bearing cameras and lots of equipment bags came out. Followed by three policemen who stood in front of me and had a whispered conversation - you know how tennis players do when they are playing doubles, hands over their mouths in case of lip readers.
Then an old boy came out who cleared away the sign and told me he was sworn to secrecy and had to sign a form before telling me a few things which I’d better not reveal in case he gets into trouble but nothing of substance anyway. Meanwhile a press lady came back insearch of food and coffee and he directed her to a shop a long walk away. Like in Bridget Jones when she nips off to buy some fags and misses the big press moment of the guy in the court case coming out.
Anyway I’m going to head back to the other side of the triangle as apparently that is the planned route but I don’t think I’ll see anything more than a convoy of posh cars and minibuses with blacked out windows. It’s a bit later than I expected and I could do with some food and a coffee too. 🤦‍♀️

I don’t like the photo really as she looks much older than 13. She has a pretty face but the makeup, jewellery, scarf and hair are artfully contrived in a way that’s not appropriate for her age.
