The royal family

Should Beatrice and Eugenie voluntarily give up their titles if they want any public respect ever again?

Just that really.
I think the only possible way forward for them is to choose to give up the princess thing, make a brief public statement in support of victims and to end their middle east business jaunts.

So their father’s behaviour now has to impact on his daughters?

BillericayDickie · 22/02/2026 09:33

why would the public ever respect them...

ZenNudist · 22/02/2026 09:34

They are the late queen's granddaughters and haven't done anything wrong have they?. Stop the witch-hunt.

LittleBearPad · 22/02/2026 09:35

They should cooperate with the police investigation. Otherwise they should keep their heads down.

ZenNudist · 22/02/2026 09:35

Also I don't respect or particularly care about them but don't see the need to hound his entire family.

Untailored · 22/02/2026 09:35

Why? What have they done?

Supported their sex predator father and have also been involved in their own very dodgy financial deals. They are very much part of their parents ‘questionable’ social circles. They’re not innocent. Read Entitled by Andrew Lownie.

Viviennemary · 22/02/2026 09:56

They are a pair of grifters. Everything they have is because of their royal position. Without it they would be nothing.

NewAgeNewMe · 22/02/2026 09:58

I said this on the Andrew thread and B&E thread. If I was them, I’d become Mrs Husbandname, not York or MW, as aligns too closely to their now disgraced father, they don’t have to, but if I was them, that’s what I’d do.

That is true of every single member of the RF!

Marylou2 · 22/02/2026 10:02

They definitely should. They went with their mother to visit Epstein after he'd been convicted as a sex offender when they were in their late teens and 20s. They knew.

They could choose a completely new name, they don’t need a man’s name. Thats very old fashioned thinking. In their position, if I wanted a clean slate and was innocent of wrong doing, I wouldn’t have my husbands name. Who knows what could come out about their husbands in future. I would want my own name, not linked to anyone. But then, I’m not doing dodgy deals, benefitting from bad people like they are. They’re in it up to their necks, happy to mix with their parents dodgy pals.

AlwaysRightISwear · 22/02/2026 10:05

They won't do it voluntarily.

socks1107 · 22/02/2026 10:06

I don’t think they are anywhere near as awful as their parents but I don’t think they are innocent either and maybe a step down should happen. They had lunch as adults with a known trafficker. That’s not innocent to me. Although they may well have been manipulated by their mum they are old enough to see that

Nickyknackered · 22/02/2026 10:11

I also think, they are potential victims (not sexual abuse but neglect of good parenting and providers of moral compass). Growing up with a parent doing this kind of behaviour and poor morals at the very least will have affected them. Their mother isnt much better with her bribery dealings etc.

I dont know much about them but I do remember one had surgery on her back when she was a child. She reportedly chose a wedding dress with a low back to show the scar as an example to children going through the surgery that it was nothing to be ashamed of.

No idea which one it was or if it was true but it did strike me as a positive thing to do, if she did it.

No, but their own behaviour should. And that includes willingly associating with Jeffrey Epstein after his release from prison. The fact that after this was revealed they didn't even bother to put a statement out apologising for "misjudgement" and condemning his crimes shows they don't give a fuck.

Gowlett · 22/02/2026 10:17

B & E have nothing to do with this! They were young women, when their mother took them to see Epstein. She was wrong!

They are William’s cousins. An important part of the Royal Family. My cousin has a dodgy dad. She can’t change that…

It was a good PR move. You can’t dislike someone who had surgery for scoliosis as a child and has a big scar after all. 🧐 Meanwhile behind the scenes, the dodgy deals and friendships were happening. Beatrice and Eugenie not good people.

Only they're been doing their own dodgy things now, well into adulthood. Again, read Entitled and you’ll see they have everything to do with this.

Are you the author of this book? 🤔

Mosman2020 · 22/02/2026 10:25

Not sure if the public have ever respected them, but no it’s not fair on them. They’ve done nothing wrong as far as we know.

Brightlittlecanary · 22/02/2026 10:25

No I don’t think they need to, I don’t feel they can be blamed for their parents behaviour and I feel it’s wrong to try to do so.

however I feel all of them have been blighted by the awful behaviour of their parents, all of them, the spouses, and ultimately the grandkids. It is seen as shameful to be part of this family, I don’t think they can recover from it. And their titles are now meaningless.

I am shocked andrew was potentially committing treason, accused of passing on confidential trade information to benefit from it financially, and to potentially damage the uk interests so to create a benefit for him and his friends,

the shagging behaviour was awful but the sheer scale of what was going on as it now is slowly being unveiled, from the grabby behaviour over money from him and Sarah, with their hands out, to the selling the uk out for cash is just appalling.

i don’t understand any of them, take Harry and Megan, they could have lived a life of luxury, they just had to do the job, but they wanted much more money and fame. Andrew and fergie also had a life of luxury, but they were the same, they wanted more money, and andrew couldn’t keep it in his pants.

its fucking tawdry. And I don’t think they can recover. It’s thay sense of entitlement, of sheer greed, of resentment that it’s not them to be monarch, that seems to drive these second sons.

If the victims in their late teens and 20s were groomed and unable to escape their role, why assume that these 2 girls should be better able to resist their circumstances at that age?
