The royal family

Should Beatrice and Eugenie voluntarily give up their titles if they want any public respect ever again?

Just that really.
I think the only possible way forward for them is to choose to give up the princess thing, make a brief public statement in support of victims and to end their middle east business jaunts.

He is and always has been a working royal.

He does the FTE of two months a year.

TBF it's more than some but the whole 'working' lot between them score about six months graft.

'Working' royals are a disgraceful PR placed myth.

Working Royals is an oxymoron 🤣

And Eugenie’s charity is under scrutiny. The apples don’t fall far from the tree.

I think B is a person who only sees the best in people, and is somewhat naive, hence her support of her dad and her involvement in his interview.

Naivity combined with a sense of entitlement is never a good mix. E seems much more grounded.

This anti trafficking charity sounds to me like a workshopped / focus group outcome for an intentional ameliorating / fig leaf PR effort to cover the sins of her father. It’s so cynical - but also so so lazy and entitled. They totally believed that some token gesture was enough to deflect. Same as Camilla - sent out to bat for BRF on a VAWGs ticket over the decade where her own BIL was being publicly accused of repeatedly raping a trafficked teenager - but their response was to silence her with £12m of tax payers money and keep him front and centre of BRF again courtesy of tax payers.

ThePoshUns · 28/02/2026 09:08

Yes @Chesterdrawssits all very cynical and obvious. Great name btw!

GoldenCupsatHarvestTime · 28/02/2026 09:20

I don’t think the sin of the father should be laid upon the child, no.

Worth a read
Eugenie's charity.

Thanks for the articles on Eug's charity.

Interesting reading and good to see questions being raised about it in the mainstream press.

I think the timing of it finally stumbling into life after six years lying pretty much dormant is no coincidence coming as it did as allegations about MW's behaviour were being reported ever more frequently.

Cynical and obvious indeed.

This is interesting too.

We're probably not allowed to speculate openly but I have my theories 🤐

Same @CathyorClaire

It’s not a surprise that a husband has cheated. The “royal access” he was buying into has disappeared, so the interest in the marriage has disappeared too. 🤷‍♀️

It’s surprising that he was foolish enough to impregnate someone though. I had assumed that both men were pretty canny.

jeffgoldblum · 28/02/2026 12:53

I’m hoping this isn’t true they have young children and no matter what we think of them, this isn’t something that people should crow over.

simpsonthecat · 28/02/2026 12:56

I don't see any 'crowing over' at all.

If it is true it is very sad and the whole family are really a bit of a mess.

I have seen a few hints about cheating over the past few weeks so not totally surprised about this if true.

Wasn't Eugenie's husband photographed on a yacht with girls a couple of years back? Possibly innocent but not a great look.

What, men and women are allowed to socialise together. Good grief. I can only assume your issue is religious or cultural but trust me, men and women can be together in social settings. He didn’t need to be on a male only yaght,

ThePoshUns · 28/02/2026 14:56

Yes he looked very handsy as well.

You clearly didn’t see the photos !

Is anyone crowing over it? They’re discussing it. There is a difference. However if people want to crow over it, they will.

Is it not quite arrogant to tell adult women what they can discuss and how they can discuss it?

At the time, Sarah Ferguson said Eugenie’s husband was just doing his job and defended him calling him a superhero and a man of integrity. That sounds frighteningly familiar.

Did you see the photos? I mean I do tend to interact with men shock horror but I don't tend to conduct business meetings in a thong bikini - maybe I am doing something wrong though? ;)

VictorianChic · 28/02/2026 19:19

I’m not crowing either. But neither do I feel sorry. I don’t care what happens to them as long as taxpayers’ money isn’t involved.

And I’m sure the sisters knew that their grandmother was the main draw.
