The royal family

Should Beatrice and Eugenie voluntarily give up their titles if they want any public respect ever again?

Just that really.
I think the only possible way forward for them is to choose to give up the princess thing, make a brief public statement in support of victims and to end their middle east business jaunts.

I’ve got nothing against the truth @JacknDiane But for it to go through the correct channels. What happens if Andrew argues he can’t have a fair trial because there are so many details in a book that everyone knows about. Who has that helped?

BestBefore2000 · 22/02/2026 10:44

@BoxingHare Ms would have been better 😀

Because you're pinning accusations on people (B and E) on 'something I read in a book'.

Everything In the book has been okayed by lawyers and verified by multiple people. If it’s not true, let’s see them sue. They won’t, because it’s true.

sittingonabeach · 22/02/2026 10:49

If it has been verified by multiple people why have the police not acted on it before?

I read somewhere that Harry didn’t agree with a particular section of the book, so I’m guessing he didn’t verify the part where he is mentioned

Zara is an Olympian. She didn’t achieve that by being a member of the RF.

Of course she did.

Unless you're saying an equally talented but disadvantaged child is just as able to achieve Olympic standard horsemanship, which we know is not true.

Zara's family had extreme wealth, and royal access to every type of training facility and equestrian connection that she needed to succeed.

Even with a choice between a talented royal child and an otherwise rich and well-connected talented child, royalty wins.

Dgll · 22/02/2026 10:51

Of all the people you can pick on when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, why pick on these two? Even if it isn't your intention, it sounds like faux outrage over the sexual abuse to further your own anti-royal agenda.

Dazedandconfused28 · 22/02/2026 10:51

I really dislike the current hounding by the press & mob mentality surrounding this case. I say this as someone who was assaulted as a teenager - part of what made it such an ordeal was the inevitable maelstrom I knew it would invoke if I reported it.

I absolutely do think the law needs to take its course & those guilty of crimes should be suitably punished.

I have no idea if B&E are good people, anything they have attempted to do in the public good could be construed as a PR stunt - as demonstrated above. Unless they're forced into some sort of walk of shame and pelted with rotten eggs, I don't think many of the posters above will be satisfied.

I think it's impossible to say what any of us would do in their position, would I have followed my parents if they invited to meet friends? Possibly. Most people inherently trust their parent's judgement to a point.

To publicly denounce their parents is an incredibly hard thing to do, and who does it ultimately benefit? A vengeful public who won't be happy until AMW is dead.

Smeuse · 22/02/2026 10:54

Weren't they involved with the Maitliss interview?

I don’t want him dead. I want him imprisoned. I would think that’s what most people want. A dead Andrew is one who has escaped facing justice. Who would want that?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

From me.
Won't happen though

NewAgeNewMe · 22/02/2026 10:57

I read on another thread the Sarah Ferguson told Epstein that eugenie was on a shagging weekend, who on earth says that about their own dc? I think that’s weird & dysfunctional.

It's strange because if we replace Beatrice or Eugenie in this situation with Megan then this thread would be completely one sided outrage.

and yet with these two its all "how DARE you criticise them. They are just POOR GIRLS.

BestBefore2000 · 22/02/2026 10:58

@BoxingHare This. As part of my job I work with young people on a huge financial spectrum. I can tell you now that the children in care homes are (quite obviously) at a huge disadvantage to the children living in multi-million pound properties.
The looked-after children I have the privilege of supporting are so incredibly inspiring as they have a level of resilience that puts most adults to shame.
But unfortunately it doesn't buy them a horse.

SpringsOnTheWay · 22/02/2026 10:58

I do feel for them, whatever they do will be wrong to some. They’ve done nothing wrong, and seem to just live their lives away from the spot light.

I also thinking doing too much can compromise a fair trial - I think the lawyers already have a good case for that.

Takersgonnatake · 22/02/2026 10:59

What a ridiculous premise.

simpsonthecat · 22/02/2026 10:59

ItsThatWayNotThisWay · 22/02/2026 10:34

It couldn’t possibly be that people just want the world to know the real truth about this family because they have caused a lot of harm. Why do some people not want this book mentioned?

Because it makes royalists very uncomfortable.

This is the Royal board. I’ve talked about non Royals on other boards, but it obviously wouldn’t really be the place for it on this board. Here it’s obviously Andrew as the main person. Then Fergie, Beatrice, Eugenie, for their parts, Charles and William for what they knew, the late Queen for her cover up and paying off an victim etc.

DoctorMarten · 22/02/2026 11:00

sittingonabeach · 22/02/2026 10:38

@ItsThatWayNotThisWay so is the author making lots of money from knowing information about trafficked women. Instead of writing a book why not work with the police

Your naïveté is hilarious. Stop wanging on about a book that is one of the few that dared to expose some of this. There was clearly a taboo around bringing this up and anything happening but since the release of the files this has changed and actions have to be taken. Former PM Gordon Brown is only now able to release what he knew. And he was the PM!!

Not comparable. You can’t help who your parents are. You can help who you marry and how you behave.

Applecup · 22/02/2026 11:01

I think these girls are victims too. They have two incredibly selfish and manipulative parents and I would imagine that it has been hard to stand back and look at things from a neutral point of view. I think there are many other people who deserve to be under the spotlight rather than these two women. The silence from America is deafening about the number of other high profile people who are mentioned in the Epstein files. All the media attention on B and E is a convenient smokescreen for that.

ItsThatWayNotThisWay · 22/02/2026 10:18

It was a good PR move. You can’t dislike someone who had surgery for scoliosis as a child and has a big scar after all. 🧐 Meanwhile behind the scenes, the dodgy deals and friendships were happening. Beatrice and Eugenie not good people.

You missed the point I was making. It wasn't that you can't dislike someone who had surgery and has a scar. It was a nice gesture that she reportedly wanted to be a positive role model for young people going through the same.

At least she wasn't a bridezilla stamping her feet and demanding everything looked perfect and it was all about her.

Vengeful public? So do you think he should be left alone? This is about the law not emotional responses to alleged extremely serious crimes, which should quite rightly disgust people.

Why the fuck do people have to be so vindictive as to punish children for what their parents do? Leave them the fuck alone, they have NOTHING to apologise for.

Dollymylove · 22/02/2026 11:06

They didnt ask to be born the Queens granddaughters, they are not financially supported by the Tax payer and they don't have security guards unless they are in the presence of the Monarch.
They didnt ask to have parents like A&S and probably feel they have loyalty to their parents, however hard it must be with their behaviour. So how about everyone just gives them a break and leaves them alone
