Is Kate Middleton wearing a blonde WIG?

Saw pictures today of Catherine, The Princess of Wales at the Natural History Museum.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-15064693/Princess-Wales-natural-history-museum-return-work-summer.html

I’m glad to see her back to work and looking happy. I’m also stunned by how different her hair looks. I always admired her amazing brown hair, so the blonde is quite the shock. Maybe it’s the wind and the rain creating the effect, but it almost looks like she is wearing a wig?

Just to clarify, I understand she went through cancer treatment and that can affect the hair in many ways. If she is wearing a wig, I really really don’t see a problem with it. If anything, it would be such a boon to cancer patients and people with alopecia etc who do wear wigs frequently. They could see that even wearing a wig you could look as fabulous as Kate.

Either way what is your verdict, wig or her own hair? Does the blonde suit her or do you prefer her as a brunette?

For the Vote:
You are being unreasonable, Kate's hair is all her own.
You are NOT being unreasonable, it's defiantly a wig.

Also as a side note I love her outfit.

Good Heir Day! Kate returns to duties with blonde post-holiday hair

The Princess of Wales joined her husband Prince William to visit the Natural History Museum in London today as they returned to duties after their summer break.

No. But people in the public eye don’t die from being too fat. If you don’t care about her visible and obvious current state then you don’t care about the woman at all.

😂😂😂😂

Obesity is the biggest public health challenge we are facing. It's crippling the country. It lessens productivity and causes huge amounts of other illnesses and costs the NHS billions

Yet the PoW's body is somehow the problem?

cumbriaisbest · 10/09/2025 17:15

@Delphigirl it's the lack of compassion really and " The Palace". And the past

Wow, do you post similar about fat women, or is it just slim women who upset you?

I think she is beyond "slim"

spanieleyes · 11/09/2025 20:35

There’s a recent video of her putting her hair up in a low bun, no pins or clips, and it looks immaculate. I try and it looks like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards!

Jealous.

I think she is looking really well.
I loved her dress and POW check trouser suit Good to see her out and about.

Took me a moment to realise POW is Princess of Wales, NOT prisoner of war!

Which is why I always use actual names. I've seen PH used in posts when just Harry is fine.

Though I think in the most recent post the poster meant that Kate was wearing a Prince of Wales check trouser suit.

Edited

Yes I was . Apologies if not clear .

CurlewKate · 12/09/2025 08:48

I try not to use just first names for any of them. I don’t know them, obviously they don’t know me and I think it contributes to the “they’re just like us” narrative.

Plastictreees · 12/09/2025 09:09

@CurlewKate No, they’re so much better aren’t they!

It was completely clear, it’s just my brain reads POW as prisoner of war, because I’m more familiar with that abbreviation.
Of course 2 seconds of my brain ticking over worked it out!

I suppose if you start thinking of them as real people rather than just purveyors of complicated narratives it does make it harder to hold certain positions.

You call Meghan, Meghan all the time though. What’s the difference in your thinking there?

If you (I don’t expect you to do this, of course!) check my other posts you will see that I don’t use first names alone for any public figures. They are not my friends or family, and I think it is a mistake to develop a mindset where there is any sort of crossover. I am in a FB group that fangirls over a long ago actor, and I never use his first name either. I can’t actually remember the last time I called the DofS anything. If I did call her Meghan it probably would have been because I don’t actually know what her proper name is. It would amuse me to call her Mrs Markle- Mountbatten-Windsor. But life’s too short.

And as Camilla will in my mind continue to be Camilla Parker Bowles as I flatly refuse to refer to her as queen, queen consort or anything remotely human.

Someone has - allegedly - acted in a way you disapprove of 30 years ago and you don't consider them 'remotely human'?

That's quite disturbing.

MyDadWasAnArse · 12/09/2025 12:59

@YourBrickTiger is that because you're a Diana Spencer fan?

She is beautiful but she is far too thin. Rumour has it she has a laxative addiction. I wonder what would happen if Prince William had fallen for a really fat woman? There goes my mad Royal thoughts again 😋

Seems more likely you are trying to start that rumour...

You don’t half talk rubbish, I did as you suggested and checked back and within the first couple of posts you were using Andrew and Charles without their titles, unless of course Andrew and Charles are your friends?

I did, before I posted. Many, many posts referring to “Meghan’, hence my question!

Fair enough. I obviously don’t follow my own rule as closely as I thought I did. I’ll try harder! I still can’t remember the last time I called the DofS anything…

No one ever called Anne of Cleves the “Flanders Mare” during her lifetime. For one thing, she wasn’t from Flanders at all! Shock horror: Anne came from the Duchy of Cleves (near modern-day Düsseldorf), whereas Flanders was (and still is) essentially French-speaking Belgium.

The insult was only pinned on her well over a century later by the cleric Gilbert Burnet in his history of the Reformation.

What Henry VIII did complain about was the “looseness of her breasts” and the “slackness of her body” (in other words he said she had saggy boobs and loose skin around her stomach). He used this as supposed “proof” that she wasn’t a virgin (no idea where he got that notion, and judging by his marital history, he didn’t exactly have a great track record of knowing who was a virgin and who wasn’t) and as an excuse for why he couldn’t consummate the marriage. The truth was he’d already taken against her when he tried to surprise her in disguise and she didn’t react to him with instant adoration. So much for love at first sight!

Funnily enough, Henry never turned that same critical eye on himself 🤔

Well exactly, he should coco, he was a slob himself.

Pyjamatimenow · 18/09/2025 20:13

Just seen a fb post of her tying her hair up on a visit. Categorically not wearing a wig or hair extensions. If she was wearing either it would have been very obvious in the video
