Thread after thread of pulling apart Harry and Meghan. 0.1% discussing what Andrew did?

What is going on with MN?

Apparently the footage with the scouts was taken a month ago.

I will say, Kate rocks hats, she can get away with any, even a baker boy!

drivinmecrazy · 15/04/2025 11:08

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but why are some posters so hung up on and determined to repeat the phrase ‘but we don’t pay for them though’, as if that’s often their slam dunk point.

Where Do these posters imagine where the majority H&M’s wealth come from?

they didn’t just magically reject all things royal & reset their finances to zero

Samcro · 15/04/2025 11:56

imo its the fact that they are not working royals. like other non working royals, they use their royal connection to make money. they are not alone in this. but for some reason they are the ones that people pick on.

CurlewKate · 15/04/2025 12:14

@drivinmecrazywell, a lot of H&M’s money is inherited. They use their “connections”to grift-as most members of the RF do. They aren’t taking money directly from the tax payer, though.

But they did.
it’s the reason why they think that they are or can be influential.
because of the RF.

i suppose i could change the language re Harry and refer to him as a ‘nepo baby’ if that makes you feel better.

then we can compare him to Brooklyn Beckam et al.

still not sure that’s going to help your case

But where did their money originate?

BemusedAmerican · 15/04/2025 12:56

@CurlewKate I'm saying that I've been criticized for taking 3 weeks of vacation in three months by people who think public employees should work 24/7. I get the same "I pay your salary" comments.

But indirectly yes...

CurlewKate · 15/04/2025 16:47

@BemusedAmerican but any criticism you get is obviously wildly unfair.W&C on the other hand….

Is this justified criticism or slagging off as I’m not quite sure

That’s not true. There have been many posts bringing up Peter Phillips’ milk commercial, and Sarah Ferguson’s many money-making schemes over the years (and not in complimentary terms, either). Or critiquing Zara and Mike Tindall for riding on the coattails of Zara’s family.

I remember posters being highly critical of Zara for wearing a coat in a photo shoot for Musto, a longterm sponsor, that was named “Windsor Wine”. Funny though, they seemed to not have a word to say when Meghan’s first sponsored links page contained a dress called the “Windsor dress”, despite Zara’s actions being “on the nose” and ”incredibly exploitative”.

i don't see the relevance in what holidays someone on mn takes.
unless you are the future king and queen.

anyways saw some nice picture's of Kate with some scouts.

Why not?

They are the only ones to rub our faces in it with all the publicity. The others get on with it under the radar. And of course none of them have sold family secrets for money either, just Harry and Meghan.

I also remember the furore when Peter and Autumn Philips's wedding was featured in 'Hello'!

Not really the same. He's an idiot, we all know it, and he doesn't go around shoving his face all over the media then whining about privacy. He's also IMO paid for his mistakes in many ways.

CurlewKate · 15/04/2025 20:10

@mainecooncatonahottinroof Double standards?? @BemusedAmericanhas said that she works incredibly long days, takes work home and has considered learning kick boxing to defend herself from her violent clients. I don’t think any rational person would question her need for a holiday!!

Most celebrities whine about privacy some have even attacked photographers and fans what's your point?

It's his story to tell and share if he wants to. Other celebrities have done the same it's not a new concept. People want to know and will pay to find out.

He hid under mummies skirt when it came out and did one interview.

I agree although I think the picking on is because the naked greed and desperation is particularly blatant. I've said before I think their mistake was actually announcing their intention to grind that unearned privilege for hard bucks.

The rest of the also rans milk just as unrelentingly but inexplicably manage to slip it under the radar with barely any comment.

WTHisgoingonhere · 15/04/2025 20:58

He's the kings son everything he does is in the spotlight. Harry could be sat on a bench picking his nose and it will make front page news.

Can you point to celebrities you have in mind who have done this and aren’t generally regarded as idiots, by any chance? Because I rather think that is the point?

Double standards, because however hard a person works, or doesn't, the system means that they are still entitled to the same amount of leave! I can't actually remember how much leave I get, but I'm also a public servant and I work hard for my money, working into the evenings and going over and above, but I don't get any more leave than the actual waste of space colleagues who do bugger all!!! That's not how it works!

I'm sure @BemusedAmerican understands where I am coming from, because she is a rational, intelligent lady and she absolutely deserves all the leave she can get. I very much respect her as a poster and she's clearly a good person all round. However, your work ethic does not determine the amount of time you get off work unfortunately!

The violent clients are a disgrace. I get a lot of dick clients some of whom can be verbally aggressive but not physically violent so far!

Only it's not, when he shares the private lives of others. He loves to bleat on about privacy for himself and his family, yet he is happy to violate that of others, like the matron in his school and the girl he lost his virginity to! What cheap shots!

He didn't use to be a "celebrity" either and imho, he still isn't. He's unfortunately a member of the British Royal Family.
