Thread after thread of pulling apart Harry and Meghan. 0.1% discussing what Andrew did?

What is going on with MN?

I don't think Andrew needs to make money like H&m do. It's easier to lie low if you never need to make any money.
I agree that's it's weird that Meghan causes such extreme hatred in a certain type of person but Andrew doesn't.

I can see why they want money but dont see why they need it? but I guess my point was people in the media more would get talked about more rather than it being a competition on who did what

Firenzeflower · 02/04/2025 03:49

He’s more or less disappeared. Maybe when he releases his own jam people will comment.

H&M are ghastly but I agree he is next level.

Overtheatlantic · 02/04/2025 04:00

I think it’s jealousy. H&M left and are doing well. We see pictures of them looking beautiful and engaged with the world around them, American style. Andrew is fat, pasty, and angry faced in every picture, riding some poor horse in dreadful weather.

CallMeFlo · 02/04/2025 04:08

You must be seeing different photos than I am 😂😂

Harry has been looking awful recently. Looks miserable too

Many vitriolic posts aimed at Harry and Meghan on Mumsnet. I hate it. It's really nasty.

Spewing hate at people you don't even know personally. What does that say about you? 🙄

So fucking what if she wants to make jam?!

I say good for them for escaping that golden cage.

It's more than nasty, I think it is actually pretty unhinged and also libellous. If I were Mumsnet I wouldn't allow it. It at the very least reflects badly on MN.

Agree completely, its deranged. It would be different if this was a regular thing with anyone, but thread after thread every few days about Meghan is bullying and I would assume "not in the spirit of MN"

Needspaceforlego · 02/04/2025 04:56

Andrew was told by Daddy Prince Philip he'd need to take his punishment and step back from public life to protect the monarchy. No more fuel to the fire.
Which to be fair he pretty much has. He's kept his head down (wouldn't surprise me if he's under threat keep your mouth shut or your allowance goes)
The only things he's been seen at are essentially family events. His parents funerals and his brothers Coronation.

Harry had a half baked plan to do the glam side of Royal life, the Trooping the Colour etc, skipping the mundane opening community centres, while commercialising himself.
Granny, Daddy & Big Bro just weren't having it.
Harry then got upset. And decided to do his own thing. Put his side of the story out there which backfired massively. (And probably cost him his Allowance from Daddy) Trust was lost.
He could do an Andrew keep his head down live off investments. Let the dust settle.
But Harry & Meghan seem to have a desire to be world celebrities. But famous for what??

CurlewKate · 02/04/2025 05:24

It’s all bollocks. But I do think QEII apparently supporting Andrew is the most shameless of the recent royal scandals. And I am pretty sure that if he hadn’t done that interview he would still have his old place in the royal circle.

Needspaceforlego · 02/04/2025 05:32

Nah "the photo" and the threats of court cases would have ended his career as a Prince with or without the stupid interview.

Now that I think about it, surely Harry should have learnt from Andrews interview, don't lie in interviews, people will have great amusement pulling them apart. And disproving every other word.

Makes you look like a fud who can't be trusted.

Tugsfh · 02/04/2025 05:33

Your right but I don’t know why

beachcitygirl · 02/04/2025 05:51

Racism & English exceptionalism. It’s as simple as that. They are so invested in their royal families that they excuse anything even paedophilia

beachcitygirl · 02/04/2025 05:54

Honestly I see the hate against Meghan & I googled and she was literally putting a strawberry on a plate
Andrew was pals with Epstein after the truth came out.
people are blinded by patriotism and racism and daily mail it is

RedRosesPinkLilies · 02/04/2025 06:27

Given that Andrew is known to be pompous, he probably hates not being in the public eye, and not being talked about.

Meghan appears to love being in the public eye - for her not being talked about would be worse than being talked about. All publicity is good publicity…
I bet Harry and Meghan could turn public opinion around if they just followed decent advice.

myrtleWilson · 02/04/2025 06:34

@beachcitygirl where did anyone excuse paedophilia ?

He's white and so they focus on H&M.

Oh DFOD. Harry is white, Meghan is as white as she is black. The criticism of them isn't racist.

The thing with Andrew is there's no debate. Everyone knows he's a piece of shit. There's nothing to discuss, and he's not doing anything new to talk about.

DefundthePolice · 02/04/2025 06:52

We also forget to mention the late Queen’s role as an enabler and apologist for Andrew. She has paid something like 12 million dollars to bail out a paedophile and secure the victims silence. Shame on her!

Spectre8 · 02/04/2025 06:55

Harry going after the press, no surprises they write article after article bad mouthing then e.g. daily mail. That case is ongoing. So low and behind article after article picking them apart over things that happened over 5yrs ago! Even recently yet again dragging up stuff from when they were here as working royals...one article was revived about how mehgan supposedly didn't follow royal protocol. 🙄 who cares? She isnt a working royal now and if was over 5yrs ago. Let it go!!!

Guarantee this stuff will continue to always be revived over and over. Whether it's the pressor this board up can come back on 10yrs and on this board up will still see ppl bring it up, her wedding, her pregnancy etc.

This. She also chose him as an escort to several events POST the revelations. As I said earlier, IMHO one of the biggest royal scandals.

legsekeven · 02/04/2025 07:09

There were loads of threads while his case was in the news and when the shows about it came on. He’s not really in the news right now so not a lot to say.

Guitaryo · 02/04/2025 07:11

I suspect it's because there are zero Andrew defenders so the discussions don't get as polarised. What would be the point of thread after thread about the same thing, I'm sure if he had a documentary (his interview was discussed a lot on here), released some products or wrote a book people would be on here saying their piece; but he isn't.

Harry just authorised his pal Alex Rayner to speak on his behalf and defend him - to the Daily Mail.

TheAutumnCrow · 02/04/2025 07:16

Seriously, Harry’s cool with using the Daily Mail as his mouthpiece.

ThePoshUns · 02/04/2025 07:17

Because in the many previous threads there has been pretty much unanimous vilification towards him. What else is there to say. If he rears his ugly head again, I’m sure there will be plenty to say.

Borrowandmiss · 02/04/2025 07:48

@suburberphobe
You write that H and M wanted to escape the golden cage of royalty. However, Meghan in particular seems desperate to hang on to her royal links. She insists on being called Sussex, which is not Harry’s name but a title gifted to them after marriage. Her recent business logo has a crown as part of the design.
I have asked so many times if her supporters want to see her as American royalty which is what Meghan seems to want. I respect anyone who is a republican and sees M and H as a blow to the royal institution. Meghan very much wants to be seen as royal though. She is not anti royalty as long as she is part of it on her own terms. Presumably, most of her vocal followers are therefore also monarchists and they want Meghan and Harry as the American pseudo royal family.
Prince Andrew has gone against his will. He has been kicked out of the Royal Family. Meghan very much wants to brand herself royal in everything she does. America is a proud republican country. I think America would admire her more if she no longer wanted to be seen and treated as royalty. Meghan wants to be part of the whole thing, titles and all, as long as it is on her terms. She still doesn’t realise that when she walked, that was it. She is free to do anything and be anyone but she isn’t part of the royal family anymore. She can’t trade on being royal and neither can Andrew.

Oh give over with your patronising racism
