He's said it looked like fun!

He works so hard he must've prepped for months studying his lines etc.

The actresses certainly didn't work half as hard as he does and we're simply having fun telling such a traumatic story.

His hard working staff will be round shortly to put right any misconceptions.

Anyone know what the OP's going on about? I think the answer's a lemon, but I can't be sure...

He'll have had very thorough cheat notes prepped for him by lackeys.

Even I appreciate he has other things on his mind but he's not done a lot officially for weeks now. Finally stepping out on an untaxing jolly while not being arsed to read or absorb them is his failing not theirs.

Yeah but you know what if most of us are honest we’d struggle to remember everything too. I mean most people (me included) forget someone’s name two seconds after they’ve learnt it.

I mean we’ve all seen the Devil Wears Prada scene. How can you be expected to remember all those details when you’ve learnt them off a bit of paper.

ToffeeTalk · 20/02/2024 09:12

Ah well, at least it was just the superficial world of film

That's an incredibly superficial view of the world of film.

I remember the things that are my job to remember, like everyone (apart from the spectacularly incompetent)! I’m an academic. I can’t forget my students’ names, or stand up in a lecture theatre in front of 200 first years and say ‘You know, Thingie, the protagonist in Whatshisname’s first novel…’

Boring post about complete non issue!

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 20/02/2024 09:25

@user1477255159 pretty sure that william and kate would not watch such a film! absolutely shocked that someone would even write a film like this!

The awards people seem to think it an ok subject. Maybe it's more one for Andrew though tbf.

DancesWithDucks · 20/02/2024 09:38

Got an agenda have you, OP?

Samcro · 20/02/2024 09:41

there are some really strange threads in this topic, but this one is extra odd.
do the people who start the threads even check the facts first.

can't see what William did wrong.

It would be a poorly run film set if everyone involved was traumatised by shooting a film that had an unpleasant scene. Part of the job of the director, producers etc is to make sure everyone is comfortable and has a good experience shooting.

Quite - I'm sure his comments were regards the whole experience as a free and cast of making a film. Having a good time working on a project together. Not jolly hockey sticks about filming a rape scene.

Films/scenes like this are important though.

The moment of the photo, which has also gone viral, with delightful comments like “what racist comment did William make to cause these women to react like this?” ACTUALLY captured the moment when William said to the Rising Star nominees “Have you had any moments when you thought “This is it, I’ve done it?” And one of them immediately responded “right now!”. And they all laughed.

🙄🙄🙄

I didn't see any of the comments thankfully, just saw the photo and thought it was amusing with all the different expressions, and I haven't seen the video either. I have no doubt it would have been misconstrued, thanks for the explanation of the context.

ETA, I didn't read the DM article either, nor any comments, only saw the photo.

That's an incredibly superficial view of the world of film.

Not as superficial as decontextualising my comment to make an attempt at a comeback 😁

The world of film is superficial in comparison to the atrocities being carried out by African Parks. And Harry’s calculated minimisation of it 🤯 Even if William had made this gaffe (which it’s now been revealed, he hadn’t) it would have been superficial in comparison to a non working Royal pretending they’re speaking for the crown, getting involved in politics when they have no authority and taking away the platform of the actual designated person, who happens to be a native woman. Harry’s white privledge is showing. Again.

Khepri2000 · 20/02/2024 09:58

Such a shame he lacks any charm. He always looks so awkward

LoreleiG · 20/02/2024 10:01

Why do so many royal family threads have capitalised thread names?

jollygreenpea · 20/02/2024 10:04

Serenster

Thank you for your sensible posts.

Is this get at William as Kate is not available op?

Braksonsboss · 20/02/2024 10:05

MaturingCheeseball · 19/02/2024 18:27

Nice one, Silly Sussex Squad.

William is as bigger twat as his brother. He just has better PR.

RightOnTheEdge · 20/02/2024 10:09

I've no idea what the OP is on about. Total gobbledegook.

Thank you Serenster for posting what actually happened. It sounds like William did nothing wrong, certainly not a "gaffe"

ToffeeTalk · 20/02/2024 10:12

@TitusGroaned your comment about film being a superficial medium was a general comment, hence my reply.

My reply had nothing to do with either William or Harry.

What will they do if PH makes moves to support and work again with the RF?

Continue the hard work of undermining William I'd assume. King Harry is the dream!

So when exposed double down eh 😆 Even more decontextualisation just to steer the conversation away from how a manufactured lie about William was being used to steer away the attention from Harry’s harmful actions on the world stage. Your position and intention is very clear 👍
