I don't think I've been to a wedding in the last decade where there wasn't two best men. And I know of the last three they were brother of the groom and best mate of the groom.

The footage clearly shows how happy Harry is to be beside his brother on the day, they're laughing together walking in. There's also that moment when Catherine is walking down the aisle, Harry looks back with the biggest grin then says something to William (I believe he told him she looked beautiful). He looked totally at ease and happy with his role. He did not look like he was there to 'save face'.

God, Harry seems like hard work. No wonder William tried to ditch him at Eton. He sounds exhausting to be around. Imagine making your brother’s wedding all about you because you weren’t the best man, even though you technically were because you did the majority of the best man’s duties. And then whinge about it 10 years later in your biography.

This whole thing (all of the stuff about W and H’s relationship) reminds me of The Script that gets used in (usually romantic) relationship breakups by men. The rewriting of past history to make it look like everything was bad and wrong, all the time, versus the reality, which was probably always somewhere in between. Then used as the catalyst and justification for a rift. Sadly I think time out and apart would probably have been a good thing for their future relationship, but now it’s so huge it seems impossible.

Absolutely. I have been thinking this all day too reading all this nutso stuff from Harry. It doesn't make him look good either - he's been lying too for years about all his relationships, if we are to believe this book.

The more this unfolds I see Harry as a sick and paranoid man. The RF aren't perfect but all this stuff H is dredging up looks like was resolved in the past through apologies by Will or Charles. Its like H can't stop dwelling on it, he sounds like really hard work.

I seem to recall that Royal men don't have a best man, they have supporters, Charles had Andrew and Edward as supporters, so I suppose Harry is correct on a technicality.

I think it would be best to wait and read the book tbh. Taliban revelations aside, which I do think was incredibly foolish, it seems a bit premature to judge things without knowing the real context and tone, in the original and as part of a whole.

Can you provide possible context to. For example, his loss of virginity story, to make it appropriate /
sympathy inducing / not a total laughing stock?
