Lovely picture of them both too. Seems so rare to see a positive news story these days so this was good to see! Peace, reconciliation and understanding. 😊

Sorry who witnessed, investigated or confirmed any racism in that thread? Absolutely no one I think you will find.

You’ve clearly missed the deleted post and the Lady Susan like denials of people who won’t accept Ngozi is British and of African heritage.

None of your post makes sense. She is potentially going to be investigated for fraud. As a charity thats the death knell. Also I have no issue with name changing but you cannot do it in context of a charity particularly at reporting and director level but you know that already from you career I guess 🙄...

Oh so innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply to the charity run by black women. What a suprise....

I must tell my friend who is a director of a charity that her recent name change after marriage means she must be doing something dodgy.

Lady SH's racism to NF was witnessed, investigated and confirmed. It happened.

Also there is one poster basically saying a woman from South London can’t be African and that it’s appropriation. She’s also white and speaking on behalf of Black Africans. Sounds pretty racist to me.

fulani isn’t African as I understand it. Whether or not it’s possible is irrelevant- she isn’t African. It obviously is cultural appropriation to pretend to be African if you are not.

The fact it was confirmed by Lady Susan herself and an actual apology was made in person…and people STILL don’t think this is enough to warrant it a racist incident…is seriously fucking depressing

Except she is. She has African heritage and she identifies with that. How fucking dare you decide that YOU are the declarer of what another woman is or isn’t. Are you God? If not it’s insufferably arrogant to do that.

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 18/12/2022 01:40

What would actually be acceptable to you for you to believe that Ngozi is what she says she is?

Even if that’s true, I did not even mention the SH incident just the charity investigation. So your comment about me “not being able to see racism” is pretty nutty.

she isn’t African. That’s just a fact (at least as has been reported and stated by nf herself). She can identify as whatever she likes but it doesn’t change facts. I’m not god - just an observer of facts! If she identified as Chinese would she be Chinese?

You understand wrong

NF's ancestors were taken from Africa along one of the slave trade routes to the Caribbean. She doesn't know which African country precisely because unluckily for her family and many like hers, the slave traders didn't go around sharing records about who was abducted from where.

Her ancestors were not alone though. Igbo and Yoruba are both spoken in communities in the Caribbean, traditional music is still played there and several African languages make up the basis of Sanandresano Creole

So your claims that she can't know anything of African heritage because she has Caribbean heritage are unfounded.

She doesn’t say she is what she actually is though. She pretends to be something she is not and it’s a bit cringe to me.

Anyway, as I said, my main focus is the charity and misappropriation of funds. I’d like to see a full investigation there.

AnElegantChaos · 18/12/2022 01:52

The race apologists on here that go unchecked by MNHQ is so fucking depressing. It's always the same posters that turning up on these threads to tell black or other ethnic minority groups why something isn't racist when it so transparently is. Absolutely tying themselves in knots trying to find the tiniest detail to detract from the fact that they are, at the end of the day, rancid racists. Just the oddest hatred.

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/12/2022 01:53

It is true. The fact that you don't believe it, despite the overwhelming evidence, demonstrates that your judgement isn't to be trusted.

You refuse to acknowledge racism, even when it was witnessed, investigated, confirmed and apologies given.Xmas Confused So it's not exactly a surprise that you don't see the racism and misogyny in thon fucktwit's rantings.

As I said, you have quite the blind spot @SueVineer.

Yeah I can see how to someone like you with your opinions someone acknowledging that their heritage had been impacted by slave trade would be 'a bit cringe'

She isn’t African. Many people have African ancestry- in fact the whole globe if you go back far enough. Languages spoken by a tiny number of people in the Caribbean are irrelevant to nf claims to be African when she isn’t. She doesn’t speak those languages or come from Africa. That’s just a fact.

Ohtheweatheroutsideistoocold · 18/12/2022 01:57

Could you please provide a source for your 'fact'

Also if you could explain how you know exactly what languages she does or doesn't speak that would be amazing...

You do seem very sure of facts you can't possibly know

AnElegantChaos · 18/12/2022 02:00

@SueVineer You could really do a history and geography lesson on how the slave trade operated in the Atlantic World.

What’s cringe to me is dressing up like a silly stereotype and saying she’s “African” when she’s not. It’s like she thinks “Africa” is one homogeneous place like Americans can do about Europe.

NewBootsAndRanty · 18/12/2022 02:04

Jesus Christ..

Ohtheweatheroutsideistoocold · 18/12/2022 02:05

34% of people in Trinidad and Tobago have African heritage due to slave trade

92% of people in Jamaica (mostly due to slave traders wiping out indigenous populations)

How people can confidently state that someone of Caribbean heritage doesn't have African heritage is baffling.

She was wearing an animal print dress. If that's dressing up as a 'silly stereotype' someone better let ASOS know

No one said she doesn’t have African heritage. We said she isn’t African. Because she isn’t.

as I said I have African heritage. Many people do. Doesn’t mean they are African.
