Positive thread on Meghan again

Now that at the other knock off MN chat has been shut down, we seem to have an influx of those posters on here with new or encouraged accounts.

For those who are not interested in trawling through negative post after the other. You can come on here for positive news about Meghan and Harry.

Why not, everyone else seems to be viewed positively, without 'cynicism'. I don't mind taking this at snail pace, we just post on the good things about H&M, they sure seem to be doing a lot of that lately, and it's really buried under the negativity on MN.

Just one of the starts is that MM won her legal case against the DM. Not a new case, but it is reported that she wants to know how much they made out of their negative press regarding her letter and should be compensated accordingly .

We must recall how the paper made an issue of her paying the winner legal fees if she does win, so it looks like they will be quite out of pocket.

I don't think this is going to go well for you...

Roussette · 07/05/2021 19:36

I'm here!

I thought Harry did a blimin' good job with his speech at the Covax vaccination initiative.

Well done him.

Mummy194 · 07/05/2021 20:08

Hiya, once again @Roussette

👋👋👋

He was wonderful. I believe the full concert will come out sometime this weekend.
Here is a snippet, and he is a natural as always.

Last night on the BBC News was the Head of Global Citizen and he sounded very enthusiastic about the H &M. Said they approached them, and H&M were eager to participate.

I hear it raised a lot as well.

Yes.

There was a lot of positive comments for his speech. No notes (can't be certified that he had no notes, but the consensus, is he didn't, so do not pick me up on this) and impassioned words. They loved him

itsgettingwierd · 07/05/2021 20:31

I've always felt Harry is a natural public speaker.

He has a natural charm and wit and wearing his heart on his sleeve he can captivate an audience.

Becles · 07/05/2021 20:31

Sidling in.

Isn't it great that their (mainly black) online supporters have raised so much money for charities in honour of Archie's birthday?

Zuluqueen · 07/05/2021 20:33

I’m here. I’m looking forward to watching the concert

myotherusernameisonholiday · 07/05/2021 20:45

Oh yes please, how wonderfully refreshing!

Mummy194 · 07/05/2021 20:47

👋👋👋

Nice to see you again. Come in, grab a sit and relax on this chilled thread.

I always thought H has a lovely articulate voice. So l also liked when he did that short documentary narration for African Parks recently. It was for World Earth Day, I think. He has been doing this for years, so really nice to see.

@Mummy194 hehe nice try you got it🤣🤣.

Crawspetch · 07/05/2021 21:01

How funny you all are. Does Sunshine Sachs pay well?

Mummy194 · 07/05/2021 21:12

It was so nice to see so much positivity for Archie's birthday.

It's just incredible that the supporters raised over 50K for his birthday, to go straight to charities.

Then there is also the Archewell vaccines. Because they secured funding from big pharmaceuticals, if you donate $5, it turns into $20. Great idea.

I believe there is also a baby shower to other charities too going on. This is for the A's little sister.

Meghan

Meghan's fwends
Sunshine Sachs nonsense
Gayle King

I laugh my arse off at this! If I am any one of those people, they've been posting on MN for ummm.... 17 years?!!
There's dedication for you!

minou123 · 07/05/2021 21:21

Im here Wine

I love that MM won her legal case against the DM. I didn't know they had to compensate her, but I thought they had to make a huge apology over couple of pages?
I'll Google.

I've not been here quite that long but still many years (before H&M met!)

It saddens me to have read so much of the vitriol toward them. Why would anyone want to be mean?

Samcro · 07/05/2021 21:39

Hope the thread goes well, would be nice just to be nice.

Roussette · 07/05/2021 21:40

Absolutely ... we remember @DaveCoaches

Itreallyistimetochangethings · 07/05/2021 21:58

Great thread. Yes Harry comes across really well doesn't he. I like his slight shyness at public speaking. I think they are great together and wish them so much happiness. Growing into beautiful parents and Harry has really matured since he married Meghan and became a father. He seems so much happier now. Smile

Mummy194 · 07/05/2021 22:00

I did think of @davecoaches from her original positive threads.

@Samcro, you know I like to argue.lol. But my conclusion is not to say a thing on here, and keep it on subject as much as possible. Will require lots of restraint from all of us. lol
Will keep the thread boring and tame, but hey some things have to balance right. So many sketchy posts out there, this simply has to work.

Nice to see everyone here Wine

@minou123
Everyone is still waiting for that apology. I could be wrong, but I think there will be a another hearing regarding the compensation, so I wonder if the apology will not be part of that. Some estimate that MoS will pay around 1.9M in legal fees, and a whole lot in damages when MM's team works out how much MoS made on the letters (hope they also count the money they made just via prolonging the case).

But those little foxes came with a begging bowl to us, so ultimately, we probably have to pay (or at least they will be taking the money from what we donated to rescue them). Positive view though, as MM is winning, it's going to charity.

Now that Knauf is getting himself untangled from this mess, wonder where that leaves everyone.

Crawspetch · 07/05/2021 22:03

would be nice just to be nice.

There's a difference between being nice and uncritical fawning.

Why would anyone want to be mean?

And yet so often on these threads one sees extremely mean comments regarding other members of the Royal Family.

Sometimes when people die in such a way as to be reported in the newspapers one sees a stream of quotes from family and friends saying the person was such an all round lovely person who never had an unkind word to say about anyone.

There is definitely one member, possibly two or three members of the Royal family of whom I would expect people to queue up to say the same.

The subject of this thread isn't one of them. Of course she's not a member of the Royal family anymore. That'll be why.

SunshineSuxx · 07/05/2021 22:06

The amount of sugar on this thread should come with a trigger warning.

Roussette · 07/05/2021 22:21

Don't worry about it silly name Sunshine you can ignore it if you want!

@Crawspetch I don't run down other members of the RF in a nasty way. I might question the monarchy but the individuals within it do what's expected of them, as per what they are brought up and trained to do.
They are individuals and flawed much like the rest of us

DaveCoaches · 07/05/2021 22:23

Roussette not to arse lick but I often see you on these and other unrelated threads making great comments Smile

I’ll be honest I don’t think the interview was great but I do still wish them well. It was lovely to see Harry slot back in at Philip’s funeral.
