Now that at the other knock off MN chat has been shut down, we seem to have an influx of those posters on here with new or encouraged accounts.

For those who are not interested in trawling through negative post after the other. You can come on here for positive news about Meghan and Harry.

Why not, everyone else seems to be viewed positively, without 'cynicism'. I don't mind taking this at snail pace, we just post on the good things about H&M, they sure seem to be doing a lot of that lately, and it's really buried under the negativity on MN.

I agree that they should not hold a royal warrant, but that is not what I am taking issue with on this thread. I am taking issue with it being dismissed that whitening products should not be marketed and with them being compared to fake tans. I shall not engage with this further.

SueSaid · 17/05/2021 20:56

'H said nothing that PC has not said before'

Context matters! PC hadn't cut off relatives for talking to the media, he hadn't thrown unsubstantiated serious allegations at the rf. Of course just talking about mh and past trauma isn't an issue but when it is used in another of a long line of criticisms it does seem to be more of an unpleasant score settling exercise.

JingsMahBucket · 17/05/2021 20:56

@Angiedx thank you so much for your excellent posts. I completely agree with how you detailed the way (colonialist) racism is manifesting when criticizing M & H.

Roussette · 17/05/2021 20:58

Sussex Supporters?

Strange term. What thread were we on and sneering?

It's hardly surprising about Camilla, she wasn't popular, no idea how people really feel now, it will be more evident when Charles takes over. She was having an affair maybe just emotional, but an affair, whilst Charles was married to Diana. So of course she had some bad press!

Mummy194 · 17/05/2021 21:00

The KM thread has garnered what? all of 7 pages, half of which are about MM. As I said before, the OP misled with pretending she wrote a book and came up with a fairy idea that is what posters were there to call out. It was explicitly not a positive poster about KM, just as an MM thread about her book was full of hatefulness, latest no one cares enough about KM to have much discussion - if you want to talk so much about her, then start a thread about how great she is.

Don't know how MM is now compared to people who were having affairs while married.

Bad press. She was vilified by the msm. I'm sure there are worse crimes than having an affair. What did Sarah ferguson do to justify all the horrible abuse she got?

The msm can be despicable and that needs to change. 'Colonialism' (as a pp suggested) has nothing to do with it.

Roussette · 17/05/2021 21:07

Is it surprising? The people loved Diana and she gave an interview saying 'there were 3 in the marriage'. What would you expect for this?

SarahF, I've gone on record on MN many a time saying how the press was with her was appalling. Why do you think I can justify that abuse? I don't.

But then she overstepped the mark selling access to her husband for £500,000

Gorgeouslilgirl · 17/05/2021 21:08

“I want to support them, I did in the beginning but can't bear their disrespectful and hurtful treatment of his family”

YOU “can’t bear” their treatment of HIS own family?
I’m sure the RF feel as close to you as you do to them
🙄🤣

CathyorClaire · 17/05/2021 21:09

But many people have a private ceremony and an official one

Very few of the official ceremonies being bloated circuses paid for by the public while the private one gets smirked about as the real deal on global TV.

SueSaid · 17/05/2021 21:09

'Don't know how MM is now compared to people who were having affairs while married'

Being targeted, bullied and abused is never ok even if you think someone deserves it by having an affair.

I do hope H just starts looking forward and they can enjoy their new lives without constant barbed comments.

Mummy194 · 17/05/2021 21:09

@Angiedx Flowers

There is a lot of people like you and @Aspiringmatriarch who have had enough of the nastiness regarding MM.

I hope we see you soon and you stay on, as so many people do no contribute for fear of
being trolled. Take care Brew

I've heard it all now. Camilla had decades long affair with next in line to the throne whilst he was married, with young children. It was shocking at the time. And you reckon that was OK and she shouldn't have had such bad press, but Meghan's is justified. Is that right?
Pinch me someone

SueSaid · 17/05/2021 21:11

'YOU “can’t bear” their treatment of HIS own family?'

Well can't bear is a bit excessive you're right. OK, I find the treatment of his family exceptionally hypocritical and unpleasant, that better hmm?

Gorgeouslilgirl · 17/05/2021 21:12

Not MM but I love the trailer on The Me you Can’t See.
Oprah really has magic.

Hopefully it will open the conversation on mental health. It is so much needed

Frazzledfranny · 17/05/2021 21:13

Roussette I’ve just seen your posting through the other MH thread.

Bloody hell talk about hypocritical! It’s really made me laugh! Grin

Roussette · 17/05/2021 21:15

Frazzled No idea at all what you're on about but glad you've had a laugh

Weird comment from you, whoever you are

'I've heard it all now. Camilla had decades long affair with next in line to the throne whilst he was married, with young children. It was shocking at the time. And you reckon that was OK '

Who said it was 'ok'?! However I don't think the constant abuse she received from the msm was justified. Same with Ferguson, same with Kate's family getting mocked and ridiculed. Etc. etc. Etc.

The sussexes have experienced what many others have, clearly this isn't right but colonialism has nothing to do with it.

Roussette · 17/05/2021 21:22

Camilla, and same with SFerguson and same with Katie's family... but you don't have Meghan on that list. What about her constant abuse?

Says it all.

SueSaid · 17/05/2021 21:25

Well no I said the Sussexes have experienced what many others have. Not right or ok of course.

Angiedx · 17/05/2021 21:25

Yes but Camilla couldn’t write Meghan’s book

Good things come from unexpected places though. I am now putting together my own pictorial representation of lockdown in a way I had hoped the hold still book would have done for both myself and my children.

Am hopeful of finding pictures alone which tell the narrative of my own memories and experience of lockdown

All good

Aspiringmatriarch · 17/05/2021 21:26

Unacceptable towards any of them. That's why I'm pleased Harry and Meghan are standing up for themselves. If that means bringing the dysfunctional, queasy RF-and-press symbiosis to light, so much the better for the public and anyone who marries or is born into it in the future.

Mummy194 · 17/05/2021 21:27

Well done @Angiedx

These are such strange and unique times.

Yes let's hope so. Others not just our own too.

Totally agree with this.
