For me it’s the German Series Dark on Netflix and the American series 1883 which is Paramount + but has now turned up on Netflix.

Dark which was about time travel really made you think and 1883 about Pioneer life/Cowboys was just quietly beautiful

One that was extremely surprised to enjoy as much as I did was "Justified" about a US Marshall forced to return to his hometown in Kentucky. It has great writing and acting, fully fleshed characters and a dark, subtle and, I suppose, sardonic humour. Read great reviews and thought I'll give it a go, and was instantly hooked and watched the whole 80(?) episodes over the space of a couple of weeks. This seldom happens with streaming: I frequently start and don't bother to finish. I am actually thinking of re-watching it, which I nowadays never do.

One name - Walton Goggins

The man is masterful, I cannot take my eyes off the screen when he is on!

Timothy Olyphant, the lazy smile, southern accent and the old fashioned manners. Very gone with the wind. 🥰

Undercover/Ferry on Netflix

Yes. The actor who plays Ferry is excellent. He reminds me of Robbie Coltrane for some reason. He's a real scene stealer!
